Spotfire's key strength les in extent of customization possible and it's inherent Data Analytics capabilities. With in-memory and in-database analysis capabilities, it comes out as a high performance and high efficiency BI solution.
Adding to it, Spotfire integrates the Python and TERR engines very effectively to implement out of the box solutions seamlessly. Unlike Power BI and Tableau ; you don't need any separate Python/R instance configured to play with these Data Science technologies.
it is more like a Visual Data Science Platform.

TIBCO Spotfire is significantly ahead of both products from an ETL and data ingestion capability. TIBCO Spotfire also has substantially better visualizations than Power BI, and although the native visualizations aren't as flexible in Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire enables users to create completely custom javascript visaualizations, which neither Tableau or Power BI has. Tableau and Power BI are likely only superior to TIBCO Spotfire with respect to embedded analysis on a website.

I have used Tableau & Qlikview. I felt QlikView is very IT & Developer friendly with great customizable options and a great scope of scalability. Tableau with the limited use i did, I felt was very easy to use for simpler operations but for a larger complex operations I felt Spotfire & QlikView were more appropriate. But honestly, at the ease of use level, I felt Tableau was quite a bit more user friendly than Spotfire & QlikView.

TIBCO Spotfire is beyond an ordinary BI tool. It is capable of providing fit-for-purpose solutions and multifaceted, time-efficient dashboards which can be developed with a few button clicks to highly complex, scalable, and contemporary visual solutions with popular enablers such as on-demand and self-service analytics. It is one of the most preferred BI and analytics partners for various business needs.

Easy to use and is a very flexible tool. Great to have multiple services. Find it to be a trusted platform. The ability to add Iron Python scripts and include code snippets is very useful. Like the style of the created views.

Augmented AI with Spotfire is very useful for data virtualization. Since data visualization is a quick and very easy way to convey our information. This software makes it easier with its interactive way of presenting data in charts, graphs, and 3D forms.

TIBCO Spotfire stacks up by performing real-time analytics on the transactional databases whereas Tableau Desktop will be great for historical or OLAP databases. TIBCO Spotfire can provide great advanced data science features when connected or integrated using R/Python thus giving a statistical view for reporting. It works smoothly with huge data sets but sometimes the performance may go down when connecting to multiple data sources at once.
Score 10 out of 10

Spotfire is the best application for power users by virtue of its wide variety of visualizations, incorporated analytics, superior data canvas, and ability to integrate code such as R or Python. The learning curve is steeper and the menus are Windows 7 once you are past some superficial visual improvements. But the power is unmatched.

Tableau has a smoother web publishing platform and user access management. And to create reporting tables, as one might create in Excel, are easier. But it falls down in flexibility and overall analytics power. Power BI is a disaster all around, but it has tight integration with other Microsoft applications.

The only other tool we use in my course is Tableau. Tableau is very popular regionally (Omaha, NE), runs locally on Mac and PC, is free for students and faculty, and has a web outlet for sharing. It also plays well with AWS. For these reasons, we use it as the primary visualization tool in the course. As I mentioned earlier, we use [TIBCO] Spotfire as an example of another tool that is popular and excellent.
I have found that Spotfire is easier for them to use for many tasks, such as quickly building a visual, adjusting variables and data, and synchronizing charts.

TIBCO Spotfire is much more powerful in terms of data visualization and data connections compared to Microsoft Power BI. Mapping and geographic analysis is another area where TIBCO Spotfire is strong. Perhaps Power BI is the cost effective option. I see both being equally easy to use to onboard new users and clients.

I have only briefly used Power BI and I found the interface more familiar as it leverages a lot of familiar aspects that come from Excel. However, I did not find it was a clean an interface for visualizations as TIBCO Spotfire was.

I've used Verdazo/Visage extensively at my last job.
I find it to be a more user friendly software.
Though the thing that makes TIBCO Spotfire potentially far superior is its customization ability,
and ability to work on the back end by the user.
For example being able to tie data sources, put in formulas for analytics.

The advantage of Spotfire over Tableau or Domo is the advanced modeling capabilities. Although Tableau and Domo have created interfaces with R, they are nowhere near as easy to implement as they are in Spotfire. The advantage of Spotfire over SAS Enterprise Miner is the broader range of easily created visualizations that don't require an experienced data scientist. Spotfire, of course, does not have some of the advanced modeling capabilities of say a SAS Enterprise Miner nor the zooming ability that Qlick Sense offers. Overall, it stacks up well.
