There were nice follow along demos. When you don't get a topic very well it was easy to rewatch the video. Also, the exercises with the solution are very good to learn something.

Remark: The videos could only be watched on Internet Explorer. When I watched them on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox there were difficulties with the videos.

By on-line training, I am referring to all of the on-line resources Spotfire makes available at no charge to users. There are very targeted videos that explain and show how to perform various tasks. There are also example files available that show how to accomplish more advanced tasks such as predictive analytics using TERR. They are all easy to understand, and are very useful in getting users comfortable working with Spotfire...

It was helpful, and showed me a lot of different things that I could do with Spotfire. There were courses that focused on the basics to the advanced, and I was able to see how the variety of Spotfire options came together in order to make a dashboard. I would recommend these to anyone who is just starting out with Spotfire. Also, the Spotfire user boards are very helpful.

The general training on how to build reports is very good. However, the training class for administration on their new architecture on 7.0 was nothing more than how to run the install. The class should have covered more on the architecture change and the differences in administering the new framework.

The on-line training is go at your own pace which has benefits because you can tailor the training to fit your schedule. The downside is that it is easy to put off or become caught up with other duties. The online training is well done but [I] would only recommend it for the most devoted of people.

Though the questions are answered, the period of time one can ask a question after the training is brief. In real life scenarios take time to develop, so technical challenges tend to lurk around long after the training session expires. The content of the training session is generic so make it useful, I would like more time for Q&A.

Do you have a great online training once users have the theory and practical side?

Another important thing is that in the case of a question do you respond in a very short time?

I can repeat my sessions as I need.

The topics in each training are very important.

It included different types of training. The basics training with the do-it-yourself tasks were very good. First a detailed explanation between 30 and 45 minutes showed basics and then these basics could be trained in provided do it yourself tasks.

The length of time available to complete the course is too short. Should make software access available for course takers. I took the course but could not access from work, which is the only access I have. My ability to complete the course was hampered as a result.

The online training was very detailed and provided demos as well and hands on exercises, the downside to only taking the online training is that you are basically learning it on your own because you don't have that live interaction to help you when you get stuck or a concept is not clear.

I have never taken an online training better than the one Spotfire provides. It is engaging, and interesting and it takes you thorough, step by step and makes it so easy to understand why things are done a certain way and how to find what you are looking for. There are 2 people that provide the voices for instruction and they enunciate so well its a pleasure to listen to them. They are not monotone. I love that they add a touch of humor to the videos. They provide interactive examples so you can follow along on your own machine and even the tests during the training are terrific reinforcement.
