Our products are built in Spotfire leveraging the TERR and Python engines that are natively supported by Spotfire. We utilize Spotfire for not only our product development, but consult on the implementation and analytics for a variety of clients using the product internally within their organizations. Business problems include analytics, machine learning, accounting/finance, and petroleum engineering workflows.

There were select programs and applications that were required to be used for an economic analysis of a large scale oil and gas development program. Spotfire, while not required, offered a significant advantage in GIS analytics.

Spotfire is being used across the whole organization for various applications. Overall, it integrates multiple sources of data to be able to spend more time analyzing rather than data manipulation. For me, I merge well, completions, reservoir, and geological data together to find trends and correlations that contribute to well performance, determine top operators, and potential areas for acquisition.

Spotfire is being used as an Enterprise level Business Intelligence Platform. Our data is being fed from various different ERP's and a ETL team is transforming the data in a way it can be consumed by spotfire. During the design phase the spotfire and ETL teams come together and create a model where certain things will be handled in spotfire and most of them in the warehouse. Spotfire is a very robust tool, pulling lots of data with less columns ,makes no harm and gives ideal results.

The tool was used to replace existing tools such as QlikTech and Microsoft Power BI. There were graphical configurations of operational indicators for the entire company. A powerful analysis tool that combines our NPS/CSAT and Ticket support history and data for trends in issues and instabilities in our systems. Its query engine is extremely efficient for high-speed input data processing and also for performing Ad-Hoc queries based on demands. details our records through its extensive data visualization capabilities such as tables and graphs.

We use Spotfire mainly to display data in the form of dashboards. It is used by us to make decisions on plan changes by advising whether new production plans are realistic and in line with past performance. Various inputs can be quickly changed if the production plan isn’t realistic and then a new review of the dashboard occurs. Having unrealistic plans causes waste in the supply chain.

Our organization is always trying to understand our clients and serve them in the best possible way. So to achieve so we need to perform regular analysis and keep track of the business. And since this needs to be done on enterprise-level under the legitimate procedure, a lot of data need to be processed, analyzed and then processed data need to be converted into visual and easy depictions for various dashboards. So to achieve a solution for the motioned problem we have deployed the Spotfire in the place. And it's actually working above the expectations from the individual. We are having a variety of dashboards from where we are able to analyze and forecast the views to customers/clients and it's helping them to run their business efficiently and smoothly, which directly and indirectly helps my organization to get trust and obviously a lot of engagements from the client and we are very happy at our end to attract and satisfy them.

We have migrated away from Spotfire to Tableau and found that it does everything we needed from Spotfire at a substantially lower price and increased ease of use.

We use Spotfire to create a dashboard for our end-user. We run several simulation and ML models on other tools like SAS, store the outputs on a SQL database and present the results on a Spotfire dashboard for our internal customers. We also use Spotfire for several spot checks and quick analyses.

Spotfire is used by many business teams across our organization for reporting and visualization requirements. The dashboards serve many end users for their daily updates and business requirements. The required data comes from different data sources, and users access Spotfire to examine daily changes and impact on their business needs. Also, it allows them to download data and visualizations that can be used for presentations.

It is being used in three areas. Advanced Analytics, Pricing, and Marketing. Across the three business units Spotfire is an analytics tool, whereas Tableau is used for reporting dashboards.

I am a faculty member in the Business Intelligence and Analytics Department, Heider College of Business, at Creighton University. I learned about Spotfire years ago when it was at Stanford and followed it's progress since then. About 5-6 years ago, I incorporated it into my graduate Business Intelligence and Analytics Visual Analytics and Visualization course (about 100 students a year, all online). While we use Tableau for the majority of the course just because it is free and easy, we do use Spotfire for 20% of the course so the students can not only see a different system, but see the power of Spotfire and how easily one can get complex but easy to understand visualizations. In my opinion, Spotfire is best of breed. We use the Cloud version only because about 70% of the students have Macs, not PCs. Even though the Cloud has less functionality than the desktop version, I feel we can still experience a great deal of the features and visuals that Spotfire offers. I always get feedback from the students that they love the product, and are thrilled to have experiences in the course with it.

Spotfire is a powerful data analysis tool our company uses for data exploration and data visualization. Spotfire is flexible when it comes to connecting to varied data sources. Additionally, we deliver data products to our customers. On top of the data, Spotfire makes it easy to create template data visualization for our customers to analyze data on the web. These custom views can be quite complex, as Spotfire can be extended using Python, R, and JS.

We use Spotfire in order to display a large amount of data in a user-friendly and [fast] way. This is the key of our product: visualization with data rows from 2M to 5M that load information in less than 50 seconds. We are starting to work with Predictive and R, but we are very excited about the benefits we can get with this platform. [It is] a very intuitive developer platform, and not so complex but powerful enough for most of the things. Many solutions out there have the power too, but they are not user friendly or cost effective.

Spotfire is used across the company for a variety of data analytics and corporate KPI tracking. I have leveraged it extensively to help me process large volumes of data and create visualizations which can then be presented to our executive team to inform business decisions. It is also used to track our ongoing activity in our business in a series of dashboards, allowing for us to compare across the organization and be informed about where performance is exceeding or underperforming our expectations.

Across the organization by maybe ~10-20% of the overall staff (~1/3 of the engineers/geologists). Mainly being used as a visualization tool, though personally I am still getting better acquainted to it. My key thing is that a lot of what I see as its value I can also do in Excel which I am much more adept at. One key thing with Spotfire is the ability to tie to live data sources. I'm hoping to figure out ways to use Spotfire for more advanced analytics.

Spotfire is used across the entire organization for implementing forecasting, data visualization, and model building. We use Spotfire because of its advanced analytics capabilities combined with its broad data visualization offerings. Perhaps the most useful aspect of Spotfire is the R Script interface, where we can use R scripts in Spotfire to create useful models and graphs.

My department also provides reports to other departments, which use such reports for consumer users. The business problems addressed by Spotfire are mainly finance, market, and process analysis.

Spotfire is being used by our team to serve as a KPI dashboard for various clients to show the performance on their data using analytics. It is also being used to create new visualizations that can further highlight how the data can be viewed and further sliced into smaller chunks to be able to dive deeper into it.
