Spotfire provides us with the ability to create visualizations and dashboards from the data that we have collected. In addition, it allows us to build and deploy complex predictive models. The business problems that it solves are: 1) what are the characteristics of our device performance and can we see/understand aberrations in that activity, and; 2) what do our financials look like and how are we as an organization performing, what are the issues we face, and, can we project/forecast upcoming performance and issues.,Easy to get data into Spotfire, and to combine data from many sources. Easy to create and edit visualizations to meet the needs of the issue and/or end user. Dashboards can be built that deliver insight along with flexibility to allow end users some capabilities to explore the visualizations or customize the inquiry. Can provide or deploy advanced analytical models.,There is a need for additional graph types. The visualization set that comes with TIBCO Spotfire is becoming rather limited. We primarily use it for data exploration, reporting, predictive analytics and data segmentation. With Spotfire we are able to build comprehensive dashboards quickly and efficiently without the need for specialist BI developers.,Quickly build reports from large quantities of data and then publish those reports via the web player. Ability to work with data sets in different formats, i.e. data aggregation or SQL queries are not required. Out of the box analytics that makes it easy for business users to gain insights into their data. Ability to leverage R scripts in Spotfire.,Easier functionality of Python scripts. Stability improvements are required, software has a tendency to crash. Easier optimisation of reports for the web player especially where large data sets are involved.,10,,10,Spotfire is used company wide by approximately 30 consultants. We have a few data scientists that makes use of the more advanced features.,10,10,10,10,8,10Robust visualization and analytics available for a small budgetSpotfire provides advanced visualization that can be further customized with custom expressions, which is a very powerful and versatile functionality. Coupled with property controls that allow users make various selections and changes to variables, this functionality allows creating pretty robust 'what if' scenarios. Such has multiple applications ranging from price analysis and price development to budgeting to cash flow to engineering. Spotfire is very good at data transformations and enrichment. This allows aligning multiple otherwise disparate data sources and analyzing data from those data sources side by side and on the same view. That in turn provides deeper insight into data. Spotfire offers a wide range of formula types including statistical formulas that allow for high degree of customization and flexibility in building visualizations and/or logic. This in turn again allows getting more insight into/from data.,Combination chart does not allow stacked bars along with a line. So, if the user does stacked bars i.e., based on one column but broken down with the column's individual values by color, then the line is not possible to do. The statistical table of the box plot visualization, though very useful and customizable, cannot be formatted and the default formats aren't based on the columns' formats either. Data transformations, though extremely useful and critical for data alignment for multiple data sources, cannot be changed once implemented for a data table. If changes are due, the entire data table must be re-done. There are multiple bugs that either unexpectedly shut down a Spotfire session or otherwise interfere. For example, if a data table has data transformations and columns inserted from external tables and if such a data table is embedded then it may become un-refreshable. Sometimes, that can be corrected by selecting "Linked to Source", saving the file and re-opening. But sometimes, it becomes un-refreshable for good, meaning that the data table must be re-done from scratch. If a column that is being used in any expression or as a matched column is deleted, the entire data table becomes embedded and will have to be re-done from scratch. There's limited functionality to personalize visualizations with colors, shapes, fonts, etc.,9,,9,In the first year of the usage of analytics developed on the Spotfire platform, we're expecting over 500-600% ROI, which is pretty hefty. It's not necessarily all the benefits directly from Spotfire but the analytics and logic built into it.,Online training In-person training,9,9,200,10,Analytics of Historical Prices: Price and strategy development. MS Access.,Can't be disclosed.,YesSpotfire is an excellent data visualization and data analytics toolHandles large data sets very well (ie. thousands to millions of rows of data) Gives users flexibility on creating the types of visualizations they can create based on what questions they ask. Can easily integrate with data sources, for example, connecting directly to databases. Makes it easy for a user to spot trends or outlying data and identify it. Empowers user with the ability see the data in a different way and make decisions.,Out-of-the-box, Spotfire does not do actual data analysis well, meaning it is really not meant to be used for complex calculations of data. Requires a 3-tiered architecture (Oracle Database, Application Server, and thick client) for setting up. It does not have a strong curve-fitting engine.,10,10,This is too difficult to measure in a pharma research environment.,In-person training Self-taught,10,In my opinion, it is not a good idea to give this application to a user without training. In a previous review, there is a comment that this application has a short learning curve, but that reviewer is an engineer. If you are technical and are good with data analytics tools already, it should be easy to pick up. If you are a scientist whose main focus is to discover and develop pharmaceutical drugs, you don't have time to figure it out yourself. I find that at least the basic fundamentals of Spotfire need to be shown to most new users first to get the most out of the product.,1000,20,In the pharmaceutical research industry, the application can be used for viewing experimental results to spot trends or ask specific questions against assay data to make decisions going forward on research projects. Also I’ve seen it used it for reporting of results, dashboarding for project progress tracking. It could also serve as a search tool against a database. Data visualization of large data sets. pharmaceutical research. Drilling down to answer questions against data. Spotting trends or identifying anomalies in large data sets.,Using Spotfire as a search user interface where the current application does not have one developed yet. Easy to filter out any unnecessary data. Easy to present data to other groups such as maintenance to resolve issues. Graphs are superb!,If possible use some of Excel's formulas in the cells. The ability to monitor input data and if data is added, Spotfire would recognize it and alert that data is now modified.,10,,In-person training,,10,NoRobust data engine & standardized visualizationsAs a field consultant I deploy TIBCO Spotfire, develop data visualization reports/dashboards/templates, and provide on-site training and mentoring. Most of my clients use Spotfire as an enterprise reporting solution. I have also helped the vast majority of those same organizations deploy ad hoc analysis environments. The ad hoc use cases are typically inter departmental analysis projects.Almost all of my clients select TIBCO Spotfire for it's ability to easily visualize data, merge disparate data sets, scale across an expanding enterprise, and handle data loading in a variety of methods. Additionally, I work with a large number of clinical research and life sciences firms who have read about the growing number of Spotfire extensions (custom add-ins) that are geared specially to their industry. This level of customization generates a great level of interest in Spotfire.,Data transformation. Pivoting, un-pivoting, aggregation, and numerous other data transformations can be achieved through a simple "Information Link" GUI or through custom SQL. Additional transformations, joins, calculation expressions can be achieved within the client as well. Standardized visualizations. Spotfire provides all of the typical types of visualizations (bar charts, scatter plots, tree maps, geo, dashboards, etc.) in a clean standard format that is easily recognized by users. Strong SaaS capabilities. Strong web-player out of the box that can be embedded and manipulated in your own site. Robust use of data structure. Spotfire provides a range of options from importing spreadsheets to connecting to existing databases. Data can be merged within Spotfire via the GUI, pushed to the database, or return select data sets based on user actions. Simple web and client interface. Intuitive interface for users and visualization report developers. Visualization options are limited for the sake of standardization Depth of reporting capabilities. Simple enough for a casual user to develop simple reports, but powerful enough data transformation and calculation expressions to build complex reports. One the greatest improvements with the latest versions of Spotfire (v6 and v7) is its ability to load enormous data sets. Spotfire was already the industry leader as an in-memory data visualization tool (as well as a hybrid data on-demand method), but it now supports numerous "big-data" data connections. This allows Spotfire to push demanding data processing into the database and return only the necessary metadata to build a visualization. Visual user interface customization has improved dramatically with the latest Spotfire versions. Version 6 allowed for much more custom HTML/CSS/Java Script to produce unique visual solutions. Version 7 took that further by allowing a GUI (point and click) to modify nearly the entire user interface. Essentially you can alter the UI to the point that Spotfire begins to look like any webpage you like.,Error handling. The data engine and expression builder have almost no organic error handling or troubleshooting capabilities. Program errors, while minimal, are vague and appear spontaneously. Training for data transformation user interface. On-site and online training for visualization report development is good, but data engine training is minimal at best. Flexibility of visualization design. Design options are very limited and are not as powerful as Tableau or MS Excel 2010+. While version 7 has provided extensive flexibility in modifying the user interface, the amount of flexibility in adjusting data visualizations is still limited. Auto-save or version control. There is no auto-save or automated version control. The client will crash sporadically and all work is lost since the last file save. Progressiveness of visualization designs. Spotfire lags behind its competitors in the range of visualization types and the options available to manipulate the current visualizations. Standardization of design controls. Report authoring options that you would expect to be ubiquitous are not and those that are available are sometimes found in different locations. Resource hog! Spotfire requires a good deal of memory, processing power, and efficiently tuned data sources. Spotfire v7 is especially demanding on memory and processing power. All versions will demand efficiently tuned in database sources. Poorly tuned databases will become a bottleneck in performance. Upgrading can be challenging if you have custom extensions or Spotfire reports using complex operations (eg. large in-memory data, large number of tabs, complex logic, multiple data sources merging, etc.),9,,SQL Developer, VMware User Environment Manager, Amazon Web Services,10,In previous roles as well as my current vendor consultation role, I have seen Spotfire start in one business unit and expand to the entire company. Operations, research, IT, accounting, finance, and executives all end up performing ad hoc analyses or reviewing reports through Spotfire. Typically their are analysts or developers in each business unit or group that build Spotfire analyses. Decision makers typically review analyses through the webplayer. The ability to allow everyone in an organization to review visualizations is very simple through the webplayer.,10,9,External and internal revenue growth. SaaS program has been developed using Spotfire. Internally, any employee has the ability to quickly develop reports by tapping into enormous data sources. Rapidness of reporting vast amounts of data. Reports are easy to construct, publish, share, and update.,994900,359623,Mobile reporting. The current Spotfire mobile solution is half-baked and the existing Spotfire data visualizations do not represent well on mobile devices. The data visualizations display satisfactorily on tablets.,SaaS / enterprise product. Spotfire is used to visualize data and then published over the webplayer. This allows any user to see their clinical trials' progress in near real time. Internal reporting. Any employee can tap into any formal or ah hoc data source within the company and quickly develop their own visualization reports. Spotfire has seen use in nearly all facets of the company. Standardize reporting throughout the company. Much quicker than Excel and much easier to produce clean, standardized reports.,We built a SaaS program that allows internal and external clients to dynamically load their specific data and monitor the progress of their clinical trials. Pre-filtering capability allows users to jump straight to their pertinent data set. This also helps manage load times when dealing with massive data sets. Changes the way that status meetings are held. A proficient user can pull in live data and answer questions as they are asked. Updating a report to a client's question as they are asked builds trust and engagement.,,Vendor implemented Implemented in-house Professional services company,10,Online training In-person training Self-taught,8,7,The basic visualizations within Spotfire use a drag and drop GUI that can be mastered by anyone. Anyone with a moderate level of MS Excel and/or SQL experience will easily grasp the data expressions used in the visualizations. Mastering the data engine requires an understanding of basic data structure and basic SQL. Developing complex reports that are efficient requires creativity and a high level of persistence that borders on stubbornness. I recommend that a visualization developer take the "boot camp" online course and sit down with Tibco for one or two ad-hoc courses on the data engine.,8,9,9,8,Integrated into a portal environment to support SaaS product,YesSpotfire is Spot-On for Data AnalysisI particularly enjoy how Spotfire enables us to triage any problems fairly quickly. We can directly connect to a database, pull in a subset of data, and then quickly create visualizations to make judgments on problem severity. For example: we can grab server response data, create a bar chart and then quickly add standard deviation and average lines to the bar chart.,This could just be a problem of the (fairly old) version of Spotfire we're using, but being able to directly control database chunksize would be great. SAP Web Services.,None that I didn't already mention.Integrating Spotfire with web applicationsSpotfire makes it so easy to visualize a large amount of data in the graph of your choice. The filtering mechanism is simple while powerful. The interactive marking feature allows you to drill down to the data very quickly. Dynamic aggregation is really handy. All of these can be applied to one or more tabular data sets with no need of up-front dimensional modeling. The architecture of the product is sound. A .net API can be used to customize existing or create new visualizations that can be deployed to Web Player and Spotfire Professional. Spotfire Server provides support for security, deployment and management of the library items and so on. Each of these server components are fully fault-tolerant and production ready.,For version 4.5 or earlier, the loading of the data was slow when the data set got larger. Version 5.0 or later should have made this much better, even though I didn't have a chance to use it. Spotfire Server needed some polish. It was Java-based, in contrast to .net-based Web Player. The interfaces and documentation for customization and extension were poor. Earlier versions did not have support for non-relational data, which was introduced in later versions.,I don't have quantifiable ROI data.,5,9,Tibco Spotfire is one of the leading Data Visualization tools on the market. This tool is currently being used by 2 departments and within the next year will be rolled out across the firm to all divisions. We use it to make sure that our data is accurate and complete and to keep track of trends and staffing and financials. I personally did testing among several applications and Spotfire fits us the best. I highly recommend it and already have to friends that work for other companies who perform the same business function I do at companies where they work.,Drill Downs, the visualizations within Spotfire are fantastic. Our management and staff absolutely love the power it provides to really drill down into data to get more details on the information they are looking at. We pull in data from several different tools on different platforms into one visualization. This was a must have for us. User friendly - with simple training our users were able to be up and running to view and navigate any visualizations that were created for them. Creating the visualizations took more training. However the online training was really fantastic. Very well done and that is a huge plus with any new tool.,Pie chart labels, it would be great to get more options for sizing and placement. It would be great to have some pre-defined themes. Right now you can have a white background or black for the visualizations which is really nice, but it would be great to have a few more options. On the bar chart labels, it would be great to be able to maneuver or change those as well as the pie chart labels. I am duplicating this one as its not so easy to come up with Spotfire complaints, I really like this tool and am thrilled that we have it.,10,,QuickBooks Premier, DameWare Remote Support, Microsoft Access,Online training In-person training Self-taught,,10,I didn't really do self taught training but this section would not let me complete without choosing all three types of training. If they mean playing with the tool a bit to learn it or following the initial online training that is not added cost, then that I did. When we demo'd the tool I tested and when we received links to the basic training I took that and it was great. I learn best by "doing" so being able to get the demo version and really test it before we purchase it, was ideal.,20,2,We are looking to use it for trending, we currently use if for mostly one department but we want to do it firm wide. We want to use it for combining data from several separate tools so our CEO can see all of the lines of service which use different application on one single dashboard. We are hoping that this can assist us with our own internal staffing and help generate more work with our clients.,We use it internally to track assigned work and unassigned work to make sure that there is nothing missing We use it to make sure that our databases are correct, we can easily see if there is an error when the charts and graphs show us an issue We can provide our clients with up to date/live dashboards as requested or sent automatically via email for status on all work past and present,Our favorite surprise is a calendar that we were able to get help creating, it is really a heat map showing a month/several months/year (whatever we ask of it basically) when we have a day where there is a lot of work due. We can see by color quite easily how staffing needs may have to change on a specific week or day or time period. The interactive features are fantastic. Being able to easily change the visualizations to a bar or pie or scatter plot to represent our data as needed is a breeze. Its a right click and an option. So simple. We are loving the bubble help - what Spotfire calls ToolTip. We can actually program expressions within the tool tip which saves room on the screen and keeps the clutter away yet lets us provide even more drill down data. Fantastic.,No,Price Product Features Product Usability Product Reputation Vendor Reputation Positive Sales Experience with the Vendor Third-party Reviews,I really do not think that I or we as a firm would change anything. We tested a few applications very well and knew what we wanted and didn't want so when it came time for looking at Spotfire we knew we had hit the jackpot for everything we would need very early on.,Yes,10,No,Our Salesman was/is outstanding. Not only did he get us through the entire demo to setup and support process. What I think it exceptional is that he continued to make sure time and time again that I had everything that I needed and that I was getting all of the support that I needed. No sales involved, he just genuinely wanted us to succeed with the use of the tool.,Creating a visualization is very easy Pulling data together and into the tool is very easy Manipulating the data even before you bring it in, is very easy,As expected, learning the advanced expressions and how to make them work for us was not an out of the box thing you can use. It required training but the training TIBCO provides is outstanding. From basic training that comes with the license to the training we purchased in addition. The videos are great, the instructor is clear, there is a little humor to them to keep you engaged and overall they are incredibly well done. I honestly can't think of anything else that I or we found difficult. I am in IT and I work with all kinds of applications and I find Spotfire is organized incredibly well. Even with my experience with software, Spotfire is not overwhelming to any staff with minimal computer experience or expertise. I have personally trained our staff so I would be able to provide these responses if I had real complaints or difficulties.,Yes, but I don't use it,10SpotfireWe used TIBCO Spotfire for our analytics department. It is a very helpful tool for visualizing data. It helps the organizations to understand their data patterns and take corrective actions to improve their outcomes.,Easy to use Fast data retrieval Very stable Easy to colloborate with other users,Does not understand complex SQL queries Can not write stored procedures No email bursting option in desktop version,7,Tableau Desktop,Tableau Desktop, QlikView, IBM Cognos Express,6,7,Yes,7,Yes,We were facing difficulty in bulding the information link and columns every time when there is a schema change in SQL. We were later advised by the TIBCO Spotfire team to create the SQL tables into stored procedures and then use them while creating IL's and columns. It helped us to save a lot of time.,Dashboard designing Phython, Ruby on Rails & Python scripting R utility,Data refresh Creating information links and columns,Yes,8Spotfire: Bringing Business on the right SpotReports that take hours to refresh data can be scheduled, making them available to users on a click. Users can change filters on the fly, and get their answers in no time. One visualization can cater to different types of user roles. A Store Manager would be interested to see store level details; an area manager would want to see all stores under his area, and likewise for Region/Zone managers. We can create one visualization that shows summary based on what level users choose from drop down - store or area or region or zone. One can compare trending for sales of a product across all states, for example, by breaking down a visualization by state using the Trellis feature of Spotfire. Defining hierarchy levels in Spotfire is very easy. One doesn't need to do any dimensional modelling, or build cubes for this.,Checkbox Filters: Filters just trigger report refresh the moment there is a change is list of values. This sometimes become painful in case of Checkbox filters. Suppose there are 10 values in a checkbox filter, and one wants to view data for only 3 out of 10 values. The moment one unchecks a value, spotfire starts loading the data. There is no way to control the loading/refresh of data only after all 7 values have been unchecked.,Managers are able to plan ahead for any staffing needs at a store. Target v/s Actual reports gives them great data about how the business is doing.,10,10,100,3,Some reports are built to show trending of different financial parameters, e.g. targets vs actual. One report shows data about #transactions that take place at a store, how many employees are there in that store, and how many hours do they work. So, this report shows all this information to help businesses decide the Staffing requirements at each store, and see how busy a store is on each day of a week, or during Christmas holidays, for example. Ranking reports to show Top N opportunities by Customers/Regions etc,,Implemented in-house,9,Self-taught,Yes, the product is easy to learn, and some reporting/BI background is good to have. There are some jump start videos on the Tibco Spotfire website that are very helpful for beginners.,Customizations were done for enabling features such as impersonation, schedule updates and Logging/Monitoring etc.,No,8,10,10,10,Not in the current project. In a previous project, Spotfire reports were available from another application,Spotfire-ReviewThe Capital Markets and Credit Loss Management areas both use Spotfire and we have proven results. Essentially we access big data from other systems like Bloomberg databases and then end users analyze this data to make business decisions. We have two or three dashboards are active for capital markets decision making. Spotfire can access databases and build dashboards very well. Performance is good, because the data is cached. There are also excellent statistical tools. Visualizations are generally good.,Scheduling and Distribution: Tools like Business Objects or Cognos have excellent distribution mechanisms. Tibco Spotfire does not allow you to distribute a report directly. You have to first create an XML file and then distribute it. It's possible to see and open the reports, but it does not have scheduling flexibility like other tools. Excel Export and Enterprise support: Most people use Excel to analyze data but it's not possible to export the data to an Escel format.,9,The data analysis we perform allows us to make better trading decisions. Capital Markets has made some very good trading decisions based on analysis of Bloomberg data which can result in huge gains in the millions of dollars.,9,1800,7,Capital Markets area: To evaluate markets. After spending weeks looking for the right product we tried Tibco Spotfire and knew that we had found the product that would serve our needs. We started off with 1 stand alone license and quickly grew to 5 licenses. This year we will be expanding to a network model with 20+ licenses. Our C-Level was impressed with the different ways we were able to compare data and highlight the key areas that are important to them. From simple scatterplot charts to detailed heat maps, Spotfire does it all for us.Tibco provides numerous free classes, seminars, and webinars to help you learn the program and start off quickly. We were able to hit the ground running, connect to multiple sources like our MSSQL2012 Database, a Postgre SQL DB, some Excel files, and an access DB. There is no question, if you need the business intelligence and in-depth analytics, Spotfire is the program for you.,Spotfire easily connects to multiple sources to pull data into a project and can be saved so you don't have to connect to those sources again. Spotfire gives you plenty of templates to choose from or you can make your own visual chart. Spotfire gives you plenty of options to export your data to be readable and accessible by anyone in the company.,We would have liked to have seen more of a tutorial or video when you open the program for the first time.,10,,Microsoft Access,9,8,No,9,NoHighly intuitive visualization capability.Spotfire is a very intuitive design tool. It’s very easy to manipulate X axes and Y axes to build visualizations. The tool does not have a heavy learning curve. It’s also well-designed in that once you learn one thing, it’s quite easy to use that knowledge to do something else. The UI is quite consistent. Once you know one thing, it’s easy to do other things. Marking visualization components and filtering for drill-down into the underlying data are very intuitive and easy to understand. The tool is also very easy to customize. For example, the SDK allows for custom visualizations. Ease of use though is primordial. We did not want to deploy a tool that was so difficult to use that we would not get any internal adoption. The primary goal was to bring in a product that could be used by people of all different skill levels and would be widely adopted across the organization.,On the back end, when designing visualizations, actually getting data into the product can be a bit esoteric. For a technical person, writing SQL queries is relatively straightforward. But the product has been designed for less technical users. All users are forced to use a GUI which is poorly designed and very difficult to use. The Information Designer (used for setting up data sources and creating information database queries) is the weakest part of the product and needs to be redesigned. Data volume. Ours is a very data-intensive business. We produce Terabytes of data. This huge volume of data is not always practical to pull in. The desktop version of the product loads all data into RAM and not on disk which can be problematic. Obviously, it can only load what data your physical machine has resources for. Once you have all the data, of course, it’s very easy to filter and drill down and the product works very well. The problem is the hard RAM limit. Tableau works around this problem by doing some smarter caching so that you are not pulling everything into RAM. This is not really a problem for sales, but for engineering where the volumes of data tend to be very large, the overhead can be prohibitive.,Ease of use. It’s very easy to get something running quickly – very little wasted time. Queries are re-usable. Every time a query is constructed, it is available as a reusable module of SQL. This is particularly useful for Sales which is often looking at data sets which are a slight variant of an earlier query. This is very efficient and again is related to speed to information. 4.5. is a very stable product with very few glitches. The product has come a very long-way (earlier versions have been far less stable). The Web Player in particular was once very buggy and unstable, but is now rock solid.,10,8,100,Engineering groups use the product primarily for data pipeline validation. In addition to the standard platform, we also use Automation Services and Web Player. Automation Services. This is a scheduling tool. You can use it to automate a series of steps such as: Open report / Send email to individuals / Save report back to library. Web Player. This is a web-based version of the tool for consuming reports built by others,,,Implemented in-house,10,Self-taught,I rolled out training internally: There are two separate versions of training: o Designer training for the desktop version concentrating on back-end SQL o Basic training for the Web player for less technical staff,We did some basic Iron Python scripting (C# code). The business reason for this was related to automating tasks, rather than really extending the application functionality. For example, we animated some visualizations. Most of the custom work we did was to make it easier to navigate a report.,No,8,9,10,8,We have hooked the Web Player up to our Intranet by loading it in an iFrame on our Intranet page.

Support has been helpful with issues. Support seems to know their product and its capabilities. It would also seem that they have a good sense of the context of the problem; where we are going with this issue and what we want the end outcome to be.

The Spotfire support is quite responsive on the support requests but sometimes the issues(requirements) can't be achieved as those are not available in Spotfire and there is no out of box solution so they ask to raise enhancement request. Also, TIBCO community play a very important role by encouraging users to post their doubts and queries and other users can reply to them.

I haven't had too much experience with contacting customer service or support. I couple of times I had sent in questions with no response. I heard recently that in an agreement with Perkin Elmer, Tibco was going to leverage their support team to take over customer support.

Tibco is very responsive to each of our questions. They are quick to jump on webex and troubleshoot issues with techs and/or receive files to analyze on their own. On occasion, Tibco has pushed back on their willingness to recognize certain issues that we have located.

I haven't directly dealt with their customer support staff, but my colleague has and he was very impressed by their level of expertise and professionalism. I do remember that he was trying to work his way through some new functionality introduced and the customer support rep was able to navigate him through some very obscure code to make the fix.

They have good technical support. They've solved a number of technical issues for us, even though sometimes it took time for them to release the patches. The consultant we've worked with was knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the discussion board on Tibco's web site was very active and helpful.

When we were first looking for BI tools, we had almost settled on one. A sales rep from TIBCO convinced my boss that we should at least just let them do a demo. And boy are we glad we did. From 15 minutes into the demo we knew we had something special and it would fit us for exactly what we were looking for. I have zero regrets and have and would highly recommend Spotfire to others. Any time I call and anytime I needed anything, my emails are answered incredibly quickly and they have a "can do" and "how can I help attitude" where other vendors did not have the same assistance.

From the day we showed interest through now, Tibco's support has been impeccable. The sales and information team hung with us through trials and meetings to get us to commit for 1 license. After that we quickly learned the power of the program and expanded our licenses. We also were appreciative of being able to contact support through the initial setup and configuration learning.
