Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

There is a limited amount of human resource in the market who has knowledge in CDP. Treasure Data is simple and easy to navigate so that a newbie might find it easy to grasp its working concepts and initiate performing on the same. Whereas Tealium is more suited for a person who has basic knowledge in CDP and not a cakewalk for beginners, which might cause some delay in finding the proper resource to work on. Treasure Data provides the performance and quality a business needs along with the advantage of reducing the time lag to understand the system as it's easy to handle and very much user friendly. These were the reasons we chose Treasure Data.

Treasure Data was also chosen before I arrived at the organization. Also, I'm not person who's in charge or writing the queries which means that I let someone know what I need to use the software for and they let me know if Treasure Data is best suited. However, that being said, we also use Tableau to view the data because writing queries is not required.

We used to use a company called Textur, but they went out of business. We feel like we have more control using Treasure and although it is more expensive, it has allowed us to better scale and given us more options both in terms of which sources we can connect to and also which sources we can export to.

In terms of query speed and performance, Google BigQuery and Snowflake offer better performance at a lower cost. BigQuery's pricing on just the data scanned rather than cost of computation is far more attractive than Treasure Data's current model. We've selected Treasure Data initially as these services were still in their infancy. Also, we didn't have a mature data engineering team at that point in time.

Treasure Data won out because they have the ability to load in data from multiple places such as Redshift and Salesforce, then export into a BI tool (which could have a better UI such as Treasure Data). Pricing was also in a reasonable range that worked for the company. We already knew that we wanted to continue using Tableau, so we needed a tool that would export data into Tableau Online.

Redshift does not have a simple web console interface for us to use. However, one area where Redshift shines and Treasure Data does not is in its pricing model. Auto-scaling is a great feature in Redshift, whereas the Presto-hours business model can be somewhat limiting at times. On the flip side, auto-scaling can ramp up costs if an unsophisticated user writes a bad query. So there are tradeoffs to both.

Treasure Data stacks up very well against its competitors. It is a highly scalable tool with great support. The reason we went ahead with Treasure Data is that it has good customizations and AI capabilities. With machine learning and AI becoming more and more important every day, it is important to have this feature. It has some advanced features, but obviously all tools have their own pros and cons. This tool had features that suited our business and our requirements. Although there are arguably other features that are available in other software, this suited our business.

Without citing competitors, I would recommend TD as a Swiss Knife in data management and unsiloe-ing. Indeed, each step of the process may be done better by other competitors but we found no other that was able to do a bit of all the steps we required (ingestion, unification, standardization, enrichment, segmentation, exportation). Choosing another platform would have led us to buy several tools instead of just one. This is something to consider if the price is not an important feature.

What we look in a data platform is: - Power - Flexibility and rapidity - Python library makes it easy to connect - Connectors are useful - Responsiveness of the staff - Good customer service Treasure Data has offered all of that to us and our clients, and more.

Best balance of price, data collection, query engine, workflow engine and especially data output to targets other than data warehouses.

Sisense is a great BI tool, and is not truly a replacement for a tool like Treasure Data, but if you want to do ETL in your BI tool and your needs are basic, Sisense could theoretically replace Treasure Data.

When we were evaluating, Astronomer was promising, but too early in its lifecycle. If you like Airflow, it could be a good fit, but Treasure Data's Digdag workflow engine is a great starting point for DAG based ETL.

Treasure Data provides a combination of out of the box connectors, end to end functionality (Ingestion, Storage, Interactive Querying, Workflows and outputs all in one place) that no other solution we've found seems to do well. The fully managed nature of Workflow, combined with robust connectors allow us to spend the minimum time possible ensuring data pipeline integrity and the most time actually creating value as a Data Team.

Treasure Data is more cost effective than Leanplum, has more functionality then Mode or App Annie, although not as user-friendly or provides as many tools for analysis. As a data ingestion tool, Treasure Data we believe gave us the best bang for our buck. Our development team also liked Treasure Data's SDK implementation better than Leanplum's.

This is where everything gets lost in translation. There is not a competitor that offers an end to end data services solution capable of managing etl , end-user adhoc usage, data delivery, warehousing, app sdk, WORKFLOW with digdag and so much more. Let’s not forget that all this sits on Hadoop storage designed to easily manage terabytes of data. On Treasure Data’s platform. We have close to 100tb in use daily.

Treasure Data is better in terms of performance, the SDK is more flexible and Treasure Data is not limited to a static format like Swrve. The competitors provide more out-of-the-box solutions but the quality we can aim for with Treasure Data is better in any case.
