From personal organisation to large and complex teams working together. I have suggested Trello as a solution in multiple companies that I have worked for and it has always been easy to set up, teach and use. I like that it grows with the project too - just delving into the automations and integrations within a larger workplace and pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to achieve.

For us, Trello is a perfect fit and an additional tool to improve our development process. The price per user fits our budget and even if we use a free plan, it also provides a lot of features that are useful.
Maybe more personalization could be a massive improvement to this good product.

Trello is a simple, flexible, user-friendly web-based project planning and collaboration tool. It is affordable, effective, and mobile-friendly, providing users the tools to stay organized and productive. It is a reliable project management app for simple and complex projects, and its free plan excels at its core features. Paying for its advanced features depends on your goals, and using Trello's unlimited power-ups to add functionality is our first suggestion. Still, it has limited customization's, performance issues with larger projects, and expensive premium features.

Trello is well suited for task management and for teams to track the progress of a project. Personally I use it for to-do lists and capturing of password and usernames as well as important private details, like access codes. Trello is well suited as a secure place with the option of private boards.

Perhaps it is not well suited for onboarding by itself. Teams would beed discussion which are easier in-person/online. Thereafter one can onboard and follow tasks on Trello quite easily.

It has a free version which usually is enough for the early stage. Very easy to use and integrate with other 3rd party software. It is very good for project management, task assignments, and progress tracking, especially with remote teams.

It is well suited to meetings with large numbers of participants where you need groups or pairs to interact with and use the board during discussions. It was well used in our company pre-pandemic, and I think it is well suited to remote or hybrid workshops. It is well suited to projects that are in a state of flux because it is very flexible.

I use it personally for school, especially since I take a lot of courses… it helps me keep track of all my assignments and their due dates. I also use it professionally for my non-profit consulting so it’s really easy to coordinate with my team and follow up on deliverables. I honestly can’t think of a scenario where you can’t use Trello cause it literally is very helpful!

I can divide a workflow effectively. And I'm good at managing this process with my coworkers. Anyone with a mixed flow should use this tool, in my opinion. The UI is elegantly designed and simple to use.

Trello is very well suited if someone needs to collaborate on multiple projects that include multiple stakeholders. This might not be very appropriate for non-project-based work.

It is well suited to my job requirements as I bring employees in, and I help offboard them as well. This tool helps me when I need to make sure all items are completed by a certain time frame, so I would say it holds us accountable. Someone who doesn't manage a group of people may not find this as useful when dealing with others but could use it for their own accountability when needing to track their accomplishments.

Well suited:

If you are a manager and have a lot of operational work, Trello can come in handy. You can quickly record your operational tasks in your Trello workspace, and you can push them forward as you complete them. This will give you absolute clarity on how many tasks are done and how many are pending.

Less suited:

It is hard to use it as a work log because in the work log it requires to have a tabular format of the information, where you show the task names across the date when it was assigned and the date you completed it. That type of format is hard to create in Trello.

Trello is well suited for helping you visually organize your tasks and projects and to easily assign projects to others in your organization. It really excels in being able to track things on each card and see where you are in the progress and where others are on their project. It may not be appropriate for roles where there is no creativity involved.

Trello is great for project management, as well as communicating with team members regarding specific projects. It allows for comments and tagging on each project post, which greatly helps our company to keep track of who's doing what on which project and where it needs to go next. It's proved to be a very useful tool for our team.

Trello is highly recommended for professionals who perform many tasks and have deadlines to meet. For a freelance programmer or designer it could be a very useful, simple and powerful tool to keep track of projects. I would not recommend it for those people who simply use it as a notebook.

As a team leader in a project of development of a mobile app, I used trello to organize the project task among the 3 developers of my team. I worked with 3 list( TODO, CURRENT, DONE). In fact, with trello, It was really easy to assign each members to his tasks while having everytime a global view of the project. Nevertheless, as Trello doesn't provide a native github integration, I always had to manager the code progress separately

It is very much suitable to manage any team size but requires someone specifically to manage boards and create rules. Trello may help any project by introducing a more methodical approach to project management and allowing the team to carry out process planning activities as needed Not suitable if you want to substitute Jira because not inefficient integration with Git repos.

I would recommend Trello to people that are starting out using Kanban tools and other productivity tools. While it can be great for teams, I wouldn't suggest Trello be used for large teams, especially on the free plan. For small teams that require a quick overview or summary of the tasks at hand, Trello is perfect and has been in my eyes the Gold standard for productivity applications. I also really enjoy using Kanban for personalized use, but I find it difficult to utilize Trello within different departments of our company and streamline that communication.
