This tool is being used by multiple departments across campus for varying levels of project management. This tool is used by my department as an overall tasking system so we know what everyone is currently working on as well as what we having coming down the pipe. This has allowed us much more overall flexibility.
  • Task management.
  • Workflow planning.
  • Transparency.
Cons
  • Larger project management instead of just tasking.
When it comes to managing a small department or groups of peoples, overall tasking and light project management with the individual boards it is very efficient and clean. If you want to get very finely detailed and customized you might want to look more at a tool like JIRA with more functionality built-in.

Easy to use for daily tasks, and suitable for organizing numerous tasks at once

Since my work group suggested Trello as an alternative to managing the work we've been doing, our productivity and efficiency have undoubtedly increased. I can keep track of the major aspects of our projects, whether there has been a change, if there is a new objective, or if a prior one has been solved. It is extremely beneficial to keep everything organized.
  • Task management
  • Project Management
  • Collaboration
Cons
  • User Interface
  • login Issue
  • Increase Number of Boards
I can divide a workflow effectively. And I'm good at managing this process with my coworkers. Anyone with a mixed flow should use this tool, in my opinion. The UI is elegantly designed and simple to use.

Currently Trello is being used by some departments in our organization. Knowing what everyone is doing with lists is really good for work. Anyone who needs a list can access Trello on their phone or company device, as it is cloud-based. Also, leadership can frequently follow up with teams and ensure that work is being done and lists are being followed.
  • Cloud-based.
  • Real time updating info.
  • Collaboration between stories and sections.
  • Ease of use.
Cons
  • If you need to filter info, it's hard. You cannot add subcategories
  • At first you may have some difficulties in using it. It is not too intuitive.
  • The interface could be a little better.
Trello is really good for teams and keeping people updated with info and activities that have to be done. It can be less appropriate for teams with a large number of people. It is great for capturing ideas and tasks, but not large paragraphs of text.

We use Trello for project management. It has helped us organize within departments and across departments on specific projects. With Trello, we can track roles and specific tracks to ensure they are done in a timely manner and we can let others know once those dependent tasks have been completed.
  • Task Management
  • Assigning Roles
  • Assigning Deadlines
Cons
  • Sub tasks can't have specific deadlines
  • Sub tasks can't have specific people assigned to them
  • Plug ins like gannt etc are paid
Trello is good for basic task management. With it you can assign specific tasks to specific people and set deadlines for those specific tasks. It is easy to get multiple team members on a project so you can all see the progress. It is not a more robust project management system.

We use Trello to manage our "To Do" lists. We are a virtual company, so we have always worked remotely and have sometimes found it challenging to be on the same page when it comes to our collective tasks. Trello allows us to keep those tasks in view of the team and allows for the visibility needed to keep those tasks moving along.
  • Manage "To Do's"
  • Keep Track of Lists
  • Ease of use when moving cards and changing up tasks
Cons
  • Free version can be limited for a larger group, so you may need to upgrade to the paid version
  • Great for smaller tasks, but can be cumbersome for larger tasks
I think Trello is a great free software to organize your "To Do" list. It allows a team to all be on the same page, even if that team is spread out in different offices, homes, and time zones. It is a great tool for a manager to see visibility into what their team is working on. It does not work as well with some of your bigger projects, but is perfect for those smaller tasks.
