Through the website and emails, TriNet gives some very useful guidance on HR processes and approaches to deal with employment challenges. The technical assistance is a little less useful. As a company admin, too often my view of the information is different than the internal TriNet view which can cause confusion and miscommunication.

The account manager can make a very big difference and we are fortunate to have a fantastic resource who has helped advocate, prioritize, and help us resolve any issues quickly and effectively. The only reason it's not a 10 is that we have found it can be a hit and miss in the past with others and this role is critical, and we have found that the level of service hasn't been consistent between all of the ones we have worked with.

I've only had to contact their team a few times and they were specific to benefits, not necessarily how to use the system. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgable! They were quick to respond when I reached out, asked pertinent questions, and gave me the exact information I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again if I needed support.

The TriNet team is prompt and helpful. They are almost immediately available during business hours and respond quickly when emailed outside of regular times. The portal is very useful in finding information and updating policy (for example, changing the compensation of an employee).

We have received stellar service & care from our account manager. She seems to know our company, our needs, and our history. I don't feel like we're one of 100, but one of maybe 5 or 10. I've honestly often been surprised at just how helpful she has been.

TriNet has been a wonderful addition to our growing company. They are always available and have resources for our employees to call when I may not be in the office to answer their questions. In addition to being very responsive, they have also guided us in helping create best practices and standard operating procedures by providing guidelines and a framework for HR principles. I don't know where we would be today without this amazing company!

They try to assist you with any issues or reporting ideas that you require. For example, we needed a report that would replicate one that we had before. The report did take a while to be created and it required a lot of back and forth with the TriNet team, but it ended up working out! I wasn't a big fan of the speed though.

This is where TriNet is the clear winner over other PEOs. The Tech platform is very user-friendly, and support is always available. Service-specific experts (e.g., health insurance, retirement planning) are easily available both to the employer and their employees. The only downside is that we cannot on-board, pay, or otherwise deal with our freelancers (independent contractors) via TriNet. The service/partner TriNet offers for this, Qwil, is terrible, so we had to find another solution for dealing with this part of our workforce.

Any time we have a question or concern we always get a fairly quick response with helpful answers or guidance, especially during the on-boarding process with many confusing tax-related documents for both the company and employees. They have also been very helpful in assisting those that needed help while selecting their benefit plans on the platform.

We are very happy. If you email your rep and they are away at meetings you will receive an email stating when they will be back in the office and who you can reach out to in their absence. Our rep gets on the phone with us to describe in great detail changes or upcoming events that we need to be aware of. Will walk us through a process on the platform if we do not understand--very hands-on.

Like I mentioned, sometimes responses are slow and incomplete. I understand that being vague over email is sometimes required considering the topic but picking up the phone and making a quick call to provide additional details may be very helpful so that the reiteration of emails is limited. Additionally, providing documents to read to get your answer does not provide the best customer service.

Account Management- Nicole P. is awesome and we have zero complaints! She is exactly what we would look for in an account manager within our company. She is supportive, to the point, quick to respond, and is great at anticipating what we may need on top of what we've asked for.
HR Support- Not good.
HR Processes- The administration side of benefits and payroll is adequate and helps us maintain compliance, which is huge. That being said, TriNet's internal processes sometimes get in the way of executing on or improving our own processes, which can be a problem. In the last year, there have been 2-3 instances of miscommunications within TriNet due to their own processes that have exposed us to risk when they shouldn't have.
Technology- The main website is good. The app is extremely user friendly. The benefits modeling site NEEDS to be revamped to provide a better user experience.

In general, they are very thorough and make sure to get you the correct answer. Sometimes getting the answer you need can take some time though, especially since they tend to promote their customer service reps pretty quickly, meaning we keep getting new ones every year or so and the new ones don't always know the answers you seem initially.

We cannot call TriNet from Europe (sadly, the number is only accessible from the U.S.), but we have a dedicated account manager Marina Affonso who always responds very quickly to our emails. The most complicated procedure that we needed to go through with help for TriNet lately was furloughing 3 employees.
