Early on in our partnership with TriNet, we required a technology modification to improve our payroll process. TriNet assigned a specialist to our account and made it happen. Additionally, the use of a central portal has allowed the company to streamline the employee onboarding and separation process.

With Chat, email, and phone support, it was very easy to contact them and get resolution for any issues or problems. They would also offer to join meetings and focus groups when needed. I believe them to have some of the best support and I am a support professional. We also appreciated features that would not allow employees to input things that were not needed or could cause issues. This kept our records accurate and clean.

Horrible. When we first started using trinet they had a chat function and phone number. With payroll there are some things that are urgent and need immediate attention so this type of customer service is necessary. In 2021 they completely got rid of the live chat and phone number and customer support was only reachable through submitting a case which took days to get a response.

For us, the payroll specialist can make or break you - and is typically your primary point of contact for the majority of issues you have. This person can make or break your experience.
During our implementation, we were assigned a payroll specialist who just wasn't on top of their game, not very responsive, ill-advised us, etc. I asked to transtion us to someone else, and they did - and the experience is totally different. I LOVE my new payroll specialist!! She's very communicative, escalates issues, follows-through, and is very accessible. Absolutely wonderful to work with.

Jared Casper is great and has been super helpful on multiple issues. The vast majority of the team has been helpful. But some departments (tax credits, as an example) has been painful to work with.

I believe everyone is nice, but no one knows anything. You are assigned a case number and rarely get a response I've found. I believe calling them is a waste of time because they just tell you that a case number was already created.

Customer service is pretty responsive, though you typically don't get an immediate response, likely because they have many clients they are working with. It can sometimes take several back and forth conversations to fully resolve an issue.

I like TriNet's multi-layered support. We have dedicated support for payroll and platform, HR, and benefits. We also have an account manager we can contact when we need to escalate an issue or get additional help. The 24/7 chat support is also outstanding for smaller routine issues. All support at TriNet has been extremely responsive. We sometimes have complicated issues like restricted stock vesting, 83(b) elections and other matters and our dedicated support team always helps us do things correctly and on time.

Every person I have worked with over the last five years has been extremely courteous and well versed in their area of expertise. When I have a problem that the TriNet representative does not know how to solve, they immediately refer to another TriNet team member. Although that is not always quick or timely, I have the peace of mind that the solutions offered are the right ones. Their support has been invaluable, especially when it comes to immigration law.
