At Cision we use TrustRadius for the gathering of ratings and reviews. Run by our Customer Marketing team, TrustRadius serves as a primary channel for obtaining enterprise level customer ratings and reviews to be used as references, speakers and general testimonials in our demand gen efforts.
  • Ease of use - once you're up and running it's easy to log on and see results.
  • Customer support and enablement - The team hosts weekly calls and quarterly progress reports with my team. This is HUGE for us.
  • Pricing model and auto renew (don't do it TR).
  • Customer service/success - This is a positive and a negative. We did have to push for the level of service that we get now. No complaints now but did have to push for it.
  • Understanding of the customer's needs. Our situation, like everyone's, is unique but in our time of transition it took a TON of conversations to get TR on the same page as us.
If used correctly, TrustRadius is a strong contributor to a robust demand gen strategy, specifically on the customer marketing side. Quotes, testimonials and sourcing speakers are all ingredients to a successful demand gen campaign and TrustRadius serves that up to us.

We use TrustRadius for boosting our online review presence to enable prospects with unbiased information during their research and buying process. We sell enterprise software to commercial construction contractors, and they are fairly reliant on peer reviews for making decisions about technology purchases. Product marketing, demand generation, customer advocacy and account management are the primary roles involved in updating content and getting new reviews.
  • User interface makes it easy for people to navigate the portal, find the solution they're looking for and post a review.
  • The integration with Influitive makes it extremely easy for us to source positive reviews from customers.
  • The review widgets are easy to host on our landing pages which adds real value to prospects evaluating software.
  • I think the only real area I have for improvement is around the category for construction. It's very limited to just one category, which doesn't account for many of the different offerings in construction software. As such, we are compared to solution providers that really don't offer the same service we do.
It's great for software vendors who are trying to get holistic reviews of their software given the number of questions they ask in the process.

The TrustRadius platform is used to generate reviews from our customers to support both our sales org and demand gen team. We also use the platform to see how we pair up with our competitors and leverage the buyer intent data for insights. This provides additional customer content such as quotes that we can use for customer references.
  • The user interface is very easy to use, whether that is acquiring or managing reviews or pulling reports
  • The TrustQuotes for Web is a great feature. We tied it into our sales enablement tool so our sales org could copy and paste quotes directly into their emails or decks.
  • More detailed reports and granular buyer intent data
TrustRadius is a great platform to source reviews and feedback from your customer base. Also, a great tool to see how you compare to your competitors within the space.

We are using TrustRadius to gather insightful feedback from our customers as well as providing useful information for buyers who are researching cloud products.
  • It provides our company in-depth information on how our customers are using our products, which we can use to educate our sales teams.
  • As our reviews and ratings count grows, we are better able to reach our customers with the answers and information they need, from end users just like them.
  • Our brand is able to move further into the consideration set of cloud providers due to a consistently increasing number of proof points from happy customers.
  • The backend data available should be expanded to show sourcing/campaign data (i.e. what tactics drove the reviews & ratings).
  • A ready-made tracking link creator would be useful to reduce potential error.
  • A ready-made list of tactics to deploy based on the strength of a brand's review presence would be helpful in getting a program up and running.

We use the TrustRadius platform across our organization in several different departments.

It helps with providing prospects accurate and real information on our product offerings. Also allows our sales teams to use the reviews as an additional tool in the sales process.
  • Very useful in regards to tagging and organizing quote library.
  • Can quickly sort and find a specific customer review
  • Accurate reporting on ratings and amount of reviews
  • Not being able to create unique slugs in the vendor portal
  • Easier to use reporting features at times can be non user-friendly
  • Not able to allow customers to leave reviews in their native language, which being a global company this cuts out all of our non-english speaking customers and prospects.
TrustRadius is well suited and easy to use for our customers to leave reviews. It is very helpful to hear our customer feedback and allows prospects to hear current customer feedback as well. The only thing holding me back from referring it to other colleagues is that it is not very well suited for a global company when it only allows English written reviews.

TrustRadius is a vendor neutral review platform for our customers to leave us reviews that other customers can use in their evaluations. As a customer marketing manager, it also helps me identify who my happy customers are.

In my role doing customer marketing, this product is very useful. I am able to see who are the promotors of our company and read reviews online. I am also able to use positive reviews in other places, like our company website. I think the hardest part with reviews to be honest is having to send your customers to multiple places to give you reviews.

TrustRadius is one of the top product review sites in our industry. It is important that we get a constant stream of new reviews on the platform. We use TrustRadius to reach out to our customers and write reviews about their experience with our products. We also leverage TrustRadius to identify who may be interested in our products and is not yet using our products today.
  • Our CSM is great. We have standing meetings to review progress and keep informed about new capabilities that TrustRadius has rolled out.
  • TrustRadius makes it very easy to reach out to customers to source new reviews.
  • TrustRadius is an important source for new leads for us.
  • TrustRadius is the number two review site for our industry, behind G2Crowd. At least, that is the perception. However, what we are finding is that we have roughly the same number of reviews on both sites. That being said, we would always like to see TrustRadius drive even more traffic to their site and our product page.
  • TrustRadius' product segmentation can probably be a little better. G2Crowd does an excellent job of identifying markets and submarkets.
If you're a software vendor, it is important to be well represented on third-party review sites. Many people who are "in the market" may not contact you but they will likely go to a review site. Also, when you have a relationship with a third-party review site, you can get a good sense of what companies are in the market. Also, you'll learn from product reviews what areas to improve in terms of product and how you do business.

We use TrustRadius to help drive awareness of our products to prospects in the market to buy new solutions. We also leverage the customer feedback to inform the product teams of feature requests, product weakness, etc. TrustRadius is used by Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Product Management teams.

  • It's been difficult trying to drive more reviews since the process seems to take customers more time than other review sites

We use TrustRadius to gain customer reviews on our product and gain advocates by seeing who the real MVPs are. Those are the folks that opt in to be a reference.

This solves the problem of gaining references without trying go out and search and ask. Once a customer gives us a 7 or higher rating they get asked the question and they get opted in automatically.
  • The curated questions we can ask to show off our features over our competitors.
  • Tagging reviews and using those quotes for other marketing materials.
  • The widget tool to create webpages with the best quotes.
  • Getting reviews organically. We run into problems of being static on review count.
TrustRadius does a very good job of providing us with some critical information. What others are comparing us to. It gives us the edge, and we can better evaluate an account based on the criteria.

We use TrustRadius to collect unbiased user reviews, customer feedback and intent data. The platform allows us to gauge the pulse of customers in real-time and gather intent data to drive our marketing campaigns. We have used the reviews and feedback to make tangible changes in how we communicate, enhance and release products. TrustRadius enables us to drive pre-sales and post-sales efforts.
  • Ability to embed customer reviews on our website, landing pages etc.
  • Ability to collect usable quotes from the TrustQuote module
  • Capture advocates for our customer reference program
  • It would be nice to create slides automatically from TrueQuote module that can be inserted in customer-facing presentation
  • Ability to create a short (one-pager) customer case study directly from the tool
  • Ability to create social cards that can be leveraged on social media
TrustRadius is a great platform to gather unbiased customer sentiments. The platform is easy to use and the customer success manager (CSM) will work with you to help get the best out of the platform and your investment. Our CSM, Merrell, is great. He is integral part of success that we are having with the platform.

The platform is being used to specifically track reviews. Our 2019 goal was to boost our presence and online brand as it relates to overall client satisfaction. We are also using the review widget to display top reviews on our website, however, we haven't done much to update that widget in the recent past. The portal itself is helpful, however, we haven't used it to the fullest potential, because we don't truly know how.

The team that's using it the most is our Marketing team, specifically for brand reputation. We would like to get more involved with the other enablement features of the platform.

  • Easy to use for building TrustQuotes and tagging/organizing those quotes into certain segments
  • Dashboard gives you a clean view of relevant metrics
  • Does a great job of identifying which of our clients are willing to be a reference for us
  • The process for getting profile update approvals is long and drawn out. Unnecessary in my opinion.
  • The limited number of categories is frustrating, especially if you have a multi-product offering
  • There is a lack of buyer intent data at our fingertips
  • There is no way to see pending reviews. This is important because it gives us instant feedback on the success of a review campaign. You only get to see the reviews, or at least know of reviews, once they have been approved by TrustRadius.
  • Wish they offered template resources that can auto-populate our data into for sales enablement. With our small marketing team, it's too hard to set aside time to create the resources for our sales team, that we would deem 'successful'.
If you looking to make an immediate impact on your reviews and rating, then I would enter into a partnership with TrustRadius. It can make a difference for you company's online authority and SEO ranking.

We are using TrustRadius to collect unbiased user reviews and customer feedback. This allows us to gauge customer satisfaction in a way that is approachable for our customers -- giving them the flexibility to share what they want to in an anonymized format, if they are more comfortable doing so. We then use these reviews on our landing pages and website to give prospects visibility into what real-life customers are saying about our business. They don't have to just take our word for it, our customers tell the story.
  • Review widget gives us the ability to embed customer reviews on our website, landing pages and more. This allows us to use our reviews in multiple channels and maximizes our investment in the program.
  • Review capture is easy. TrustRadius makes it simple to gather customer reviews. We provided a list (under NDA) and the outreach was done. They also helped us incentivize customers and share why their review would be so helpful.
  • Customer success is great. Our CSM, Ryan is always giving us proactive tips, connecting us with the right people and helping get everything set up and running well. We really appreciate having someone to go to when we have questions.
  • It would be nice to give reviewers a reason/incentive for leaving a complete or well-rounded review.
  • Data & reporting - would love to use the data in our reporting, but it's pretty bare bones.
  • The sales process can be a little confusing as the pricing seems variable. At one point, I was asked what I would pay for the service and that seemed like a backwards way to do business.
If you are looking for customer affirmation based on third-party reviews, this is a great place to do it. TrustRadius has a competitive offering that allows flexibility that some of the other review vendors do not provide. I also really appreciate that they are innovating and adding new solutions alongside their core product to offer more use cases to vendors. I would love to see more lead generation ideas come from TrustRadius and products that directly relate to how we can meet bottom of funnel buyers when/where they are looking for information.

TrustRadius is used to collect customer our product/services feedback, NPS scores - to be published openly. Our marketing organization owns the relationship at Prophix - we use the output to help generate business and influence prospective customers.

The goal is really to help prospective customers get real feedback from our customers, to help support their decision to buy our product and services.
  • Easy to work with, the platform and the organization.
  • Our voice is heard. We've seen changes to your platform based on feedback my team has provided.
  • There is some ambiguity in the scoring algorithms. If I have 5 reviews, with an average score of 9.5. It doesn't mean my TR score will be 9.5. This can be misleading to prospective buyers.
Great for collecting and publishing real customer reviews and scores. We've been able to take customer feedback and action it with our organization (change product, services, etc). More importantly we've been able to create valuable content to help us give other prospective customers a predictive view as to what working with Prophix might look/feel to them.

We use TrustRadius to solicit reviews of our company's software products. We use the reviews as a key part of our sales strategy, in marketing materials, for product improvement ideas, and customer reference and advocacy programs. The program is run by our corporate communications team with help from customer marketing and demand generation marketing teams.

Our company is using TrustRadius to solicit reviews from our customer base. We use the review input as feedback to our teams to help improve what we do, as well as for content and buyer insights. The platform helps us keep a pulse on how our customers feel about the products and features they use, as well as the support they receive from our team members.

Currently, we use the TrustRadius platform to drive a fresh set and higher volume of relevant reviews from happy customers. The results are aggregated for an internal sharing site for our field to use for deal support.
  • Really excellent customer success team
  • Ability to shape questions that differentiate Qlik offerings
  • Ability to see what large companies are researching Qlik offerings
  • The interface is clunky and not intuitive in places
  • To really leverage the tool, you have to involve Product Marketing, Customer Success, Support, etc. - and doing that, there needs to be a lot of resources to help vendors. There aren't enough examples.
  • Lack of examples of how large customers are leveraging TrustRadius externally.
You should really know that you cannot operate this program successfully in a vacuum. You're going to need a lot of collaboration with other organizations so plan for that - if you cannot get buy in from product, support, etc., it's less likely to be successful.

  • More customization of the widgets would be helpful. There is a custom CSS field, but more built-in options would provide more flexibility when deploying TrustQuotes on the web.

  • Backfilling a pipeline for new case study participants.
  • Saving time when creating new case studies by covering all basic information about the client before initial contact. Think of TrustRadius reviews as the email interview before your actual interview where you gather simple but important information. This is a huge time saver.

  • Mining reviews for new insights into how customers use and view your product. This helps drive product development focus, and messaging. Talk to prospects about your product like your customers do.

  • TrustQuotes Web - although not currently in use, I love the fact that reviews can be curated on local websites providing a true/authentic interpretation of our offerings
  • Tagging Capabilities- this is an extremely powerful feature that allows vendors to tag reviews in multiple ways and then collect and collate this information in a clean and presentable manner.
  • Review Participation - having TrustRadius as a partner in obtaining reviews through campaigns or onsite (conferences)
  • Product Splitting - Some solutions span multiple offering areas as rarely do products these days accomplish just one thing. Would be great if a product could sit in multiple areas and questions for end users directed based on their primary use case.
  • The ability to source reviews onsite (conferences) beyond a LinkedIn authentication as most users submitting a real time review may not be aware of their LinkedIn authentication
It's well suited for an organization that has the flexibility to structure their product offerings around the ability to solicit reviews from end users. Many organizations have restrictions (rightfully so) on handing over customer emails, and also against "spamming" their customer base for reviews. However if your organization has the ability to be creative in getting reviews (the primary requirement for TrustRadius) it is well suited.
