What is QuickBooks Time?
QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets) is a cloud-based time tracking and scheduling app that allows employees to clock in and out from the job site with the devices they’ve already got in their pockets. The vendor aims to help companies replace paper timesheets with accurate, electronic time data as well as make payroll and invoicing faster and less costly.
QuickBooks Time also accurately tracks time and GPS points (even without cell or internet service) then automatically syncs when back in service, making it a better (and cheaper) alternative to geofencing.
The Who’s Working” feature enables companies to see where employees are located and who’s working on what in real time. QuickBooks Time also features in-app scheduling that allows users to drag and drop shifts, assign jobs, see who’s working at a glance, and send alerts to managers if employees haven’t clocked in for a job or shift as scheduled.
The vendor offers free unlimited phone, email, and chat support to all customers.

TSheets Customer Service
- Their customer service is second to none. Each time we have had a question from onboarding to simple administration or technical issues we have caused our self they are responsive, swift and easy to work with. Especially Brad BD1.
- I would appreciate an integration with an electronic performance support tool that guides you through the different functions.

TSheets Forever!
- Their customer service is out of this world. They always are available to speak through live chat and stay with you until the problem is resolved. They are consistently friendly and patient.
- Usability. The platform is intuitive and very easy to use.
- One of their functions is still having the kinks worked out, but the customer service and troubleshooting more than make up for it.
So many time sheets, only one winner!
- We have used time-sheet apps for a long time. They were not cloud-based and thus data would need to be exported manually to a central utility. TSheets central server model greatly reduces some of the time required as well as the opportunities for error.
- The time-sheet apps we have used geo-located at clock-in and clock-out. TSheets tracks the whole time a member is clocked-in. This provides much added comfort in knowing what happens between clock-in and clock-out.
- When a "manager" (subcontractor) clocks in an entire crew, he can enter a note discussing what they will be doing. At the end of the day, when he clocks them out, it would be great if he could also update the global note with what the crew actually ended up doing.
- In our case, the subcontractor may work at more than one job during a given week and thus we would like the subcontractor to be able to generate a report showing how much they are billing us for each job and what is the total for all jobs for the week.
- Simplicity - the software is easy to use and intuitive

- A desktop application, a client of tsheets that is also cloud based with more functionality than the web based platform
- Better overall design. I feel like it could benefit from some material design updates, but it's also so feature packed I hardly notice.

- TSheets has really good customer support. I most recently worked with Jen D., who was very helpful and got straight to my problem.
- TSheets shows consideration for Non-Profits by offering reduced pricing, which is very appreciated.
- I only wish that account administrators did not have to pay for an account.

- TSheets have the most amazing customer support staff. I have called more than 3 times already, and they have always helped me quickly. Sarah was extremely helpful and brought me directly to what I needed. Integrating softwares is always a bit tiresome, so the support staff at TSheets really helped.
- TSheets has the most amazing mobile application. It makes it really easy to keep time and deliver that information to the head office.
- I love the integrations to QuickBooks. This was a must for me, and it works seamlessly.
- The UI is not my favorite for the web-based application. It has these windows that look like a desktop computer which is nice if you need multiple widgets open at the same time, but it really gets confusing to me.
- I wish that they had an application for OSX Mac, and windows. That would be awesome.
- I have a ton of temp employees that sometimes only a few shifts, and turnover, and I don't bring them onto TSheets because of the cost. Perhaps this could be addressed with another pricing option?

- I'd like to see TSheets adaptability for different groups of employees. For instance, our field employees need different criteria on their time sheets than our offie staff. Field employees need more detail, but because it's all or nothing office staff have to complete the same details even though it doesn't apply to them.

- I was getting regular notices regarding a client's TSheets subscription; Elaina M helped me change these notification to the client
- We needed help resolving an error, the support team fixed the problem within 20 min.
- What could be improved...we are big users of QuickBooks-we would appreciate the addition of more dash board statics

TSheets Fan...
- Ease of use - Construction guys aren't the most patient, so being able to easily log in, see where they need to click and move on, is a win.
- Setup and getting started is super easy.
- Adding, changing things, tweaking as needed/learning is super easy.
- The patience with my endless supply of questions has been great! BD1 put up with a constant barrage this morning from me and took each one in stride. While he wasn't able to say "yes, here's how..." to all of my questions, even his "unfortunately..." answers were helpful and clear in terms of what other options I could try. Good customer service is hard to find these days, but you guys hit it out of the park. Well played Brad!
- We're seeing gaps in the functionality with "fluid" organizational needs Meaning, we have employees that rotate between different crews, which then means that we need them to have multiple Management groups for alerts (specific example). The ability to only assign 1 Management Group means adding additional people to the Management Group to cover everyone, which in turn means we have management getting alerts that they may not need. And we all know what happens then... managers start to ignore the alerts because they don't take the time to see which ones do pertain to them and which ones don't.
- When I click to see Manager Edits and I select a particular employee and the date of the edits, it would be much cleaner to only see the edits by the Manager, and only for that day. Currently, when you go into Manager Edits and pick the employee and the day, I see not only the history of what the employee entered, but also the manager edits. I already know what the employee did... that's why the Manager edited it in the first place. So, "Manager Edits", by definition would be more efficient if it were truly only showing Manager Edits.
- The reporting downloads into Excel would be greatly improved if I could pick what fields I want reported. For example, I'm sure that TZ is helpful to some employers and payroll reporting, however, we didn't even know what that code meant! And, now that we do... it's still not something that is helpful! :) However, each week, I get the privilege of deleting that column (among others) that we do not need. Just seems that if If could pre-select what my payroll report is pulling it would be a much more user friendly process. Same challenge applies with any of the exportable reports.
TSheets 101
- The first one is the Reports features, which assist us with knowing specific details on particular jobs, locations and/or time.
- Scheduling feature that allows us to properly mandate a structured time for our employees to follow.
- The ability to create and assign tasks is a plus!!! This gives us the opportunity to bill properly for each of our machines.

- Customer Support - I just chatted with Shannon and she was able to help me adjust a setting. All the support team seems to be knowledgeable, energetic, helpful and very nice! It is like the Southwest Airlines version of Time Tracking! :)
- Make the scheduling so it just recurs until you change it instead of just a year out.
