Typeform has found widespread use across various departments and industries as a versatile tool for data collection and survey administration. Users have utilized Typeform for a range of purposes, including conducting surveys, gathering feedback, and collecting customer reviews. The software has been commended for its user-friendly interface and customizable forms that match company branding, simplifying the data collection process.

Typeform has proven to be particularly valuable in content marketing teams, allowing them to gather insights and recognize pain points through easy and efficient data collection. It has also been widely used in customer success and marketing departments to collect and analyze feedback from SaaS product customers. The software's logic mapping capabilities have made it an ideal choice for conducting large-scale surveys and research, tailoring questions based on respondents' previous answers. Furthermore, Typeform has been praised for its design and layout options, providing a more enjoyable survey experience compared to other platforms like Google Forms.

In addition, Typeform has been employed in various industries such as education, non-profit organizations, event planning, customer engagement, and partner programs. Whether it is building online applications for a non-profit trade school or administrating surveys to qualify job applicants, Typeform has proven to be a time-saving solution that collects data as a whole rather than individually. The ability to add logic jumps within the survey process allows users to customize the experience based on respondents' actions. Integration with CRM systems like HubSpot further enhances the form experience for users by streamlining marketing requests.

While many users have praised the features and capabilities of Typeform, there have been occasional complaints about the customer support provided by the platform. Some users have reported slow response times and problems with problem analysis. Additionally, changes to Typeform's plans have prompted concerns among users about potential issues. Despite these criticisms, Typeform remains a popular choice for individuals and businesses seeking a user-friendly and customizable tool for their data collection needs.

Calculator tool: Users have found the calculator tool in Typeform to be extremely helpful for incorporating complex calculations into their forms, with multiple reviewers praising its functionality and versatility.

Compatibility across devices: Reviewers appreciate that Typeform is compatible with modern web browsers and ensures a seamless user experience across different platforms. This feature has been mentioned by several users as a key advantage of the software.

Integration capabilities: Many users have praised the integration options in Typeform, particularly with products like Zapier and Intercom, which allow for streamlined workflows and automation. These integrations have been described as flexible and time-saving by multiple reviewers.

Confusing User Interface: Some users have found the user interface of Typeform to be confusing and not intuitive, particularly when creating forms or navigating through the platform. They feel that a more streamlined and user-friendly interface would greatly enhance their experience.

Limited Customization Options: Multiple users have mentioned that they find the customization options in Typeform to be limited. This makes it difficult for them to create surveys or forms beyond the provided question options, limiting their ability to gather specific information from respondents.

Lack of Integration with Popular Services: One user has expressed dissatisfaction with Typeform's lack of integration with popular services other than Zapier. They believe that having more native integration options would make it easier for companies to connect Typeform with their existing tools and systems.

Users have made several recommendations for Typeform based on their experiences. Firstly, many users suggest integrating Typeform with Slack as it enhances collaboration and data sharing within teams. Secondly, Typeform is highly recommended as a free and user-friendly alternative to SurveyMonkey. Users appreciate the better overall user experience offered by Typeform. Lastly, users recommend Typeform for its ability to handle large volumes of surveys and collect a large number of responses. It is particularly praised for its customization options and suitability for quickly gathering data.

Typeform is definitely a leader in the online survey space and that's for a reason. Between logic mapping and the ease of use for the end user, it's a solid app. The unfortunate thing, however, is the price tag--particularly considering the protection you receive from bots. Typeform only allows a certain number of responses at certain package levels, ie: the lowest level, you get a very limited number of responses but in order to receive more responses before your survey is locked, you must upgrade. This is what ultimately lead us to cancel with them. When you post a survey on Typeform, that survey is automatically posted publicly on their website--making it widely available to bots. Typeform offers no easy form of protection like a standardized captcha that you can add to the survey in order to filter bots out. Instead, there are several "work arounds" that they advise users to do that have very limited degrees of success. A quick online search shows that Typeform knows this is clearly an issue, yet they have yet to build in a bot-prevention feature. Since their plan prices vary by number of responses, it seems that they have no incentive to limit the amount of bots filling out surveys I believe. Ultimately, we canceled because, although the app is powerful, it just seemed like their business practices were unethical in my opinion.

Typeform has transformed the way we interact with our clients and retrieve valuable feedback from them. It is the best option for building contact forms because it makes it fun and interactive to fill out forms, instead of a chore. Typeform is valuable for any sized organization and allows companies to interact directly with customers with quizzes and forms.

Typeform is good for startups and companies with new product launches where you want to engage the audience with fun and engaging surveys. No one wants to do surveys these days, especially for free. So the user experience must be top class for people to want to engage in the process.

A scenario that Typeform is best suited to is when surveying buckets of customers or users with different attributes. Typeform allows for logic pathways to question those customer buckets differently. And all of this is done with a single form instead of creating and sending out multiple forms. That allows the convenience of going through all the results in one place as well. The ability to customize the form through the use of variables means I can use the answer from one question in another question in the same form. Very useful for using names.

Typeform is less appropriate when you need heat map or key tracking metrics.

a) Product marketing teams - who want to know their product market fit, check NPS regularly or do some customer surveys about new feature launch/ check excitement about already launched feature

Typeform is perfect for both internal and external response collection. Though the tool might not be as robust for larger contexts as some other available solutions, I think the unique approach to question flow and beautiful design really do help to increase completion rates. So far, we haven't found a problem where we couldn't use Typeform as the solution.

I believe that Typeform is the best solution on the market for custom web forms, surveys, and more. The opportunities are really endless when you think about how forms can be used in a company - lead generation, user engagement surveys, training quiz, idea generation, etc. The information you collect can then be manipulated or sent to another service to automate processes within the organization.

Excellent use case is any web-based data collection scenario. Its main plus is its pleasing and "single question" style interface which makes filling in a form quick and enjoyable. Plus it's mobile responsive so can be used as a mini "app" for many situations. The ability to branch with logic jumps and use calculator features all makes it quite a powerful tool. The user interface and experience is the main reason why we use and promote Typeform. No one feels like filling a form when they can see a whole bunch of question boxes staring in front of them.

We survey lots of people. Typeform enables us to gather, collect, and download information for analysis. Surveys can be varied in length, with customizable elements. Particularly when you have branching logic in responses, Typeform provides easy A-B logic trees based on respondent answers. We regularly embed surveys in emails or on Facebook. Typeform may be less appropriate should you want to have respondents engage with varied media like photos, videos, or presentations. We have not attempted to use Typeform in this way.

My team is barely scratching the surface on Typeform's functionality. We almost exclusively use it for invite-only event registration, and don't embed any forms on our website. The form builder is extremely easy to use and doesn't require coding knowledge to make beautiful forms.

Typeform is amazing for any type of data collection. We have used it successfully for:

  • Employee surveys
  • Customer information collection
  • Potential customer surveys
  • Swag order collection (i.e. size, address)
  • Internal sharing as part of pass off processes
  • Webinar registrations
I wish it had a native API or plug-ins that were easy to use but it works well with Zapier.

Typeform works excellent for almost any survey or form. It works best when online surveys and forms are long, and you don't want the user to feel overwhelmed. In other words, the streamlined user experience quickly gets users through the questions rapidly. It may not work best for legal needs where DocuSign could be better suited.

Typeform is very well suited for training and simple forms of all sorts. It works nicely in a training system to allow for a clean, technical look that works well for visual aesthetics. The flow of the program is very smooth and easy to understand the first time you use the service.

Typeform can be applied successfully for MANY scenarios / needs - client feedback, interview questionnaires, performance reviews, services selection, and so much more. We use Typeform for a complex questionnaire for our clients and it required a lot of work and learning. If you are building your own questionnaire and have limited experience, I would recommend keeping things more simple. Typeform can be a little bit challenging for someone with little computer experience so it may be good to have someone assist in the creation.

If you want to collect information, Typeform is your go-to tool. Information collected may relate to: Lead Generation, Customer Feedback, Client Registration, Expenses, Online Contact Us form among many others. Due to Typeforms integration via Zapier (From the free plan upwards) and the possibility to create APIs. The possible scenarios to collect information are endless.

For quick surveys in which you want users to use a simple link to access easy-to-follow questions, Typeform is an ideal choice. It is easier to learn and more flexible than the native Microsoft Excel Forms approach offered by Office365 (likely available to many business teams). Seemingly, they have thought of everything!

A simple way to collect information from clients that is convenient, easy to use, and nice looking. Makes running surveys easy. Can be used to collect any kind of data and there is a wide range of templates that can be customized at will. I highly recommend this tool if you need to collect data from customers or clients. Typeform is a simple effective online tool to do that.
