We have been using the UiPath RPA platform for close to 2 years and we have been helping our clients to automate their mundane processes like accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, and report generation. We have a department on the development team in our company which mainly focuses on RPA development. We also have automated certain in-house processes and helped people spend their time on valuable processes instead of repetitive, mundane work.
  • UiPath has very good usability. The user interface is very intuitive and is very easy to use.
  • Their training and certification paths are excellent. Anyone can complete their basic to advanced levels of certification trainings with ease.
  • There is good availability of activities or APIs. The activities cover most of the needs for automation. Their Orchestrator platform helps in scaling up the processes and data sharing between the robots using their assets.
  • There is good community support and very good documentation of the platform.
  • Not all applications can be automated using the UiPath platform.
  • Sometimes the platform fails to identify the elements which are required.
  • The platform is not robust, it tends to fail in certain cases with exceptions.
UiPath is well suited for UI automation that involves web or windows applications. The RPA solution is suitable for matured processes that do not change very frequently. It would be more useful to automate processes such as mass data entry, report generation, and reconciliation where there is less human judgement required. Orchestrator would help if the process has to be scaled to multiple bots.

It is not useful when there is constant human judgement involved in a process. Image based automation or automation in a Citrix environment tend to fail.

We currently use the tool to sell solutions to internal customers. Most of the work that we automated is the migration of data between systems, automation of emails, extraction of data of pdf with OCR, among others. The gain has been perceptible from the first moment, as human errors have been noticeably reduced to almost zero. Another good point for us is that we can leave the robot working as long as we want.
  • Ease of use
  • The interface is user-friendly.
  • The implementation and editing of selectors make the tool extremely powerful.
  • Courses at UiPath Academy make learning very easy and fast.
  • The Orchestrator course is really good.
  • The documentation of Re-Framework is very confusing.
UiPath, like any other RPA tool, is intended for the automation of repetitive processes with well-defined standards. It has good communication with Emails, PDFs, Office, Google and Microsoft OCR, and some other tools as well as .NET. Not recommended for confusing processes with lots of user interaction. Processes that require some level of cognition are not recommended to use UiPath.

Most automation is done with simple click and select items, directly on the automated system. This provides less code and more productive results. UIPath makes it easy to use automation as you can simply click on the items you want to interact. The visual designing and common workflows make it easy even for non-IT professionals to draw flow diagrams. UiPath is easy to learn. They have the UiPath Academy (on-line courses) which is easy to follow and to learn how to use the platform and understand what RPA is. In addition to the strengths mentioned above, the ease of integration with other tools is also somewhat surprising. Creating Custom Activities is very easy to do. To this day I have not seen any situation where it was not possible to use UiPath to resolve a problem because of this easy integration.
  • UiPath is easy to learn. They have the UiPath Academy (on-line courses) which is easy to follow and to learn how to use the platform and learn about what RPA is.
  • There is a official Forum too! So you have any doubt there will be always someone to help you to solve it.
  • Keep up the good work!
  • Since I am still in the learning stage, up until now I haven't faced anything that would make me dislike it.
We are using it for business processes which are recursive with bulk data. It provides faster output with reduced Average Handling Time and very less probability of error. For processes with bulk inputs, it's a very good option to save FT benefits.

UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform was used for personal purposes. I learned about UiPath in some online advertising, and started learning how to use it. After that, I used the Studio to automate some of my most time-consuming daily processes, by giving them to the UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform to take care of.
  • Process Automation
  • Web Scraping
  • OTR Text Reading
  • VM Automation
  • Advanced Training lacks some additional steps
  • Opportunity for advanced features
  • Orchestrator needs some improvement
If I want to speak about some specific scenarios where UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform is well suited, I would say that it is really good for basic day-to-day task automation, such as copying and inserting data from various sources. It is also great for Virtual Machine automation capabilities when they are needed.

We are going to use UiPath to automate highly repetitive task across all departments. It can be used universally to address any process you see fit for automation. Wether it is front or back-office. Even if you do not have direct access to the desktop that is beeing automated, that is also not a hindrance for this software. You can easily automate VDIs and there are some very powerful tools upcoming in the future to further improve remote desktop automation.
  • It is easy to learn and use. There is a great UiPath online Academy that will help you on the way to become a versatile user of the software.
  • And even if you are stuck at some point, there is a great community and great support from UiPath, that will definetly help you out.
  • The robot management system Orchestrator is a great tool to monitor your deployed bots.
  • You do not need extensive coding knowledge to start building your own bots and you will gradually become more confident as you proceed to build own solutions.
  • Coding knowledge is not required, but it should be stated that you should have some knowledge of it if you want to get the most out of UiPath. If you start building more complex processes coding is needed for the most parts. You don't have to be a pro but you should understand the basics of the .net framework and the languages that are using it.
  • The price of licensing the software and the different kinds of bots should be displayed easier online. It would make things more transparent from the get go.
  • Support can sometimes be a bit slow, but most of the time it is the opposite. So not really a big deal.
If you need to automate a very repetitive process with a high volume UiPath is the best way to go, or if you have something to automate in Citrix, then it also can be done easily. But if you have a process that requires human thinking then UiPath is not the way to go right now. It does not include actions that have an AI to decide on more complex cases.

We're using UiPath to automate data entry processes and copy-pasting between different desktop apps and web apps. Before UiPath we could never automate these tasks because these are legacy apps with poor support for any kind of integrations (no API, web services, import/export). With UiPath it was very easy and straight forward.
  • UiPath user interface is very intuitive and user-friendly.
  • UiPath Academy provides lots of great training courses and training material.
  • There's good support for developers to help with coding mode advanced automation processes.
  • Our developers faced some application slowness while developing a very complex process with dozens of mxml files. This was only during development though, the actual automation execution is running very smoothly.
Data entry and data copying between legacy apps with poor integration support is where UiPath excels. There's a very high return opportunity here because you'll end up both reducing headcount and process execution duration. For tasks where human judgment and intuition is key, UiPath won't be much of a help.

It is used across the organization and is helping us to automate mundane tasks and weekly reports. We have integrated it with ServiceNow. We have also automated a couple of manual browser operations and health checks for our website. The weekly reports are automatically generated and shared over email. This has really helped employees to engage in other quality work.
  • Browser Automation. Beats Selenium in this.
  • Drag and drop makes it fun and easy to understand. The community is really helpful.
  • Endless possibilities with cognitive introduction and Standford NLP.
  • Easy to manipulate and understand the selector concept.
  • Plug and play for IT reports, employee task management.
  • Creating more job opportunities in every segment of the product.
  • Engaging more complex systems and scalability.
Well suited for big clients who can afford this to easily improve processes. Everyone can be trained in this tool, hence less dependency across various projects. They could Introduce small packages for mid-level companies/government organizations.

Being an IT consulting organization we help our clients by implementing automation using UiPath in their core business processes. We have a Centre of Excellence Team who are spread out across the organization. We automate in all business areas whether it may be banking, insurance domain, manufacturing, or telecommunications, etc.
  • User-friendly tool to implement automation.
  • Free learning platform with detailed material helps an organization to get trained and find developers easily.
  • Regular upgrades with new features released almost every quarter.
  • The best community forum where someone can post and get answers for most of their queries.
  • Few legacy applications are still not supported for automation. But UiPath recently announced some activities with which legacy systems can also be well automated.
  • No inbuilt chat functionality among the other developers of the team.
  • No inbuilt error reporting feature. A support ticket should be raised manually.
UiPath is well suited for automating almost all the web applications. Human-like recognition selectors keep this tool ahead of other RPA tools on the market. As there is a free version of this, tool developers can easily learn and get completely hands-on before accepting a project. The only scenario where I felt UiPath still needs improvements is in automating Siebel 7.8 CRM. This looks like a web application, but in fact, it is not. It works on IE but uses Siebel DLLS.

At the company, we develop robotic solutions for other companies (or clients). We automate the process in order to deliver efficiency and speed in departments such as HR, Taxes, etc. There's a whole team that develops robotic solutions with UiPath for each client. The UiPath platform enables us to address any kind of problem within a company. From the tax process, work certificates, or even call center optimization.
  • Various options to automate Citrix applications.
  • Intuitive user interface to develop and design the solution. Three different ways to design the workflow allows us to get a better design.
  • UI browser and intuitive editable selectors allow the developer to fine tune the robot for better automation.
  • A wide range of third-party packages and a very warm community to support and solve most doubts.
  • Impressive interaction between workflow files.
  • The user interface is very intuitive, but could be more effective if the design allows a better view of the large and complex workflows
  • Cross-platform support, not only Windows users but Unix user as well.
  • They can be more orginal in the layout of the Studio app. Feels like a Office app for RPA
  • Orchestrator for Community Edition users works very slowly and not that fluent as expected
In the RPA environment, UiPath is such a powerful tool. Allows for web apps, desktop apps, and virtual apps to be automated in any possible way. There's a lot of support and documentation as well. For "background" business processes UiPath works perfectly. However, if we decide to use it as a RDA tool, it could lack some features like Window Design and interactions.

  • Many people not aware of UiPath.

We have a new department that is starting the automation of some business process, as we are a third-party company for several clients. We are working mostly with the handling of exceptions and posting payments in a billing software for health charges, and this software is completely worked through remote desktop. So this is a virtual environment and we cannot work with all the activities that UIPath offers. The business problems we address is the reliability and also quality for the process we handle, a robot is more accurate and easy to test and keep track of its productivity rather than a human agent. As we work completely via remote desktop, we need to use the OCR and image recognition assets. Fortunately in the last versions and packages of UIPath they have improved the way to work in such environments. Now our capacity to work with this has increased by far, and we can pay attention to other processes that are sure to be automated in the near future. No doubt this software for RPA is currently one of the best. We plan to make a bigger group of bot developers to create even more solutions for our clients.
  • Excellent management of project files and dependencies
  • Easy integration with .Net technologies, also you can include new activities and features through the Package manager, that use all the power of NuGet
  • Large set of activities that allow you to build the bots for a lot of scenarios and use cases. The limit is your imagination.
  • Easy deployment of the projects and bots, locally or remotely through Orchestrator platform
  • Easy coding and programming by the use of a quite friendly language: VB.net
  • They have to improve the way of how to show error message to the developer, I mean in which file is the error and also, offer suggestions in case that you declare a wrong type of variable or if you are missing something else.
  • For Citrix/Remote desktop environments they have to improve the recognition of some elements in the remote screen, the added a new package to do this but is still in beta version and need several adjustments.
  • It would be awesome if we might choose the language we want to use to code the activities, because even when VB.net is easy, is not the most popular language, rather, C# is currently one of the most famous
UIPath is well suited for processes that have a unique structure, that are not going to change through time, and where the information provided has the same format. It is also appropriate for automating simple office tasks such as opening and sending email, extracting information from them, and resending it. If you work in a local environment you can implement the RPA bots in a easier way, but if you have remote desktop apps to handle with UIPath, it will be quite difficult, because there are a lot of issues about work involved in such scenarios. Another scenario when UIPath is not appropriate is when the business processes needs human logic or analysis for being completed. We are still far [from getting] the bots to think or decide as a human so do not take the risk.

Inside of our Automation development silo, we underwent several programs to first teach ourselves about the service, and then apply it to our own company, specifically on our payroll process for consultants and employees. Inside of this we managed to overhaul an error-ridden process and speed up payment processing times. From there we went to new and existing clients we have worked with on the basis of improving their technology, and applied the same principles to good result.
  • As an Automation Platform, UiPath Studio and Orchestrator excel at helping to identify, catalogue, and improve workplace processes. From improving security to reducing human error and processing time, Automation via UiPath is now a vital part of our company.
  • To teach yourself and your team, UiPath Academy Certifications can be completed in about 2-3 weeks, to not only educate yourself about the platform but to improve your teams capabilities and guarantee ability.
  • Bot Logs and Process monitoring is efficient through Orchestrator, cutting down on the amount of time it takes to make sure that your client automations are performing their tasks.
  • A lack of macOS Support requires additional hurdles for certain client implementations, or forces you into using VMs.
  • UiPath is attempting to sponsor an open source and user friendly community, but forgoes native GitHub tools in favour of paid Version Control systems.
  • Built-in Citrix recording is the current weak point we have found, and may require you to find alternative software for complex automations.
As stated before, overhauling an existing payroll process that relies on the manual processing of dozens if not hundreds of client/consultant invoices each month was a huge win for time-saving in our organization. This is because UiPath excels at automating repetitive tasks that can be quantified and controlled. If you think UiPath can help with answering client questions through an automated support bot, the email infrastructure and analysis is not there yet, and I would personally go with other sources for automation.

Here in my organization we use UiPath for robotic manual and repetitive processes in order to gain performance, speed and accuracy in the results of these processes. We have a specialized team focused on delivering RPA projects (using the UiPath tool). The focus of these projects are manual and repetitive rules-based processes.
  • Easy integration with other applications
  • Free On-line academy
  • Easy-to-learn
  • Free Community Edition
  • UiPath has Orchestrator to manage robots but it's not worth it when we consider a project with less than 50 robots.
  • Lack of documents about how to create Custom Activities. It would be great to have some detailed information. Today we have just the basics, so if you don't have experience it can be very hard to develop.
  • It will be great to implement AI features in the future.

When I started working with UiPath I realized that it was a tool that would make a big difference in the market. Using it since 2015 I realized that the main focus of UiPath is to bring ease in the development of the robot. And that's exactly what the tool provides us. In addition, the online academy is a great differential. With free courses and a wide range of courses available, it is very easy for anyone to learn what RPA is and start applying it on a day to day basis. The Community version of the tool is also a great advantage compared to other tools available in the market.

In addition to the strengths mentioned above, the ease of integration with other tools is also somewhat surprising. Creating Custom Activities is something very easy to do. To this day I have not seen any situation where it was not possible to use UiPath to resolve because of this easy integration.

I can not stop commenting also about the Forum. There you can connect with several people who also use UiPath and share experiences. With just a few clicks you can find the solution that bothers you so much, as well as being able to share your own experiences.

In conclusion, I believe that UiPath is the market leader precisely for bringing ease of development and especially for listening to its users.

I've been working with UiPath since 2015. When we compare this RPA tool with others available in the market, we can see that the big difference is community-focused work. In addition, we can see that Uipath has been perfecting itself very quickly, which makes it a bit difficult to keep up with so many changes in such a short time. I would not say that this is a disadvantage, but that it is necessary to be in constant learning. Another point I wanted to mention is that the Orchestrator is a bit expensive, since it is necessary to purchase it separately. We should also make it clear that Orchestrator is only worth it if we have at least 50+ robots in operation. The lack of a resource that manages fewer robots is something that would be needed.

As EY(Ernst and Young ) is a big four organization, Uipath is a very crucial RPA tool used in EY across Globe to provide highly stable, efficient RPA BOTs to clients. In EY GDS until now, we have created approx 850 BOTs in a time span of 3 Years. It is being used by all departments like Tax, audit, and advisory etc. It helps in automating approximately all business process with different domains like FS, non-FS, oil and gas, health sectors, tax etc.
  • Computer Vision: Latest CV activity enables efficient Citrix automation.
  • Custom Activities: UiPath is very close to .net and C# languages and helps to expand the functionality by writing custom codes for actions which are not supported by UiPath
  • Heaven for developers of a C#, Java, dot net background.
  • Ease of development and BOT implementation.
  • Awesome UiPath support team always help you whenever you are in a difficult situation.
  • Not very great PDF activities.
  • Debugging and testing is not up to the mark as provided by other RPA vendors
  • Code sometimes becomes very large as each activity occupies some space on your computer screen. So it is difficult to look at the whole code in a single view. Another too,l like (AA), is good at that.
It is well suited in all scenarios where there is no human thinking required and business logic is not changing. It is not well suited to get captcha information.

We have used UiPath for GRC reporting purposes in which SAP risks are extracted and automated in a good manner. Also, we have deployed this in the SAP implementation cycle to carry out repetitive tasks like role creation, user creation, and password resets. Excel automation is also completed and ensures the analytics are in a presentable format.
  • Screen scraping
  • Integration with SAP
  • Excel automation
  • SAP coordinate recognition
  • Data security
  • Audits
UI path is well suited in automating data processing that is less critical to business. It is also well suited to repetitive tasks which do not involve any decision making logic. UI path is less appropriate in audits and IT security as we cannot automate functionalities that are critical to business. However, data extraction can be done.

I am automating validation of work items between BPOpen and SAP. Avoiding too much manual labor on the part of the user, freeing the time gained for more analytical and less repetitive work. UiPath is being used on the RPA Factory for meeting the needs of internal customers and providing financial savings by reducing the hours needed to carry out a specific tax process. In addition to avoiding possible human error.
  • Very easy to use, great learning curve. The UiPath academy is possibly the best portal to learn among other tools.
  • Speed to start produced verified results.
  • Excellent orchestrator for managing robots and logs.
  • Best OCR is available on the market, including Citrix automation.
  • I miss a functionality similar to the "immediate window" of Visual Studio. The Immediate window is used to debug and evaluate expressions, execute statements, and print variable values. The Immediate window evaluates expressions by building and using the currently selected project.
  • Adapting the automation to new versions of the product can be challenging.
  • It's not the most cost-friendly tool in the market.
UiPath is suitable to any need, but it is notably better in automations that run in the background with the "'simulate click" and "send window messages," that can be used in various scenarios, as well as its integrations with plenty of excellent OCR engines. UiPath would not be appropriate on some low-budget projects, but in the long term, it has proven to be better due to the low maintenance and rework rate required.

Our company focus is on the healthcare industry. We bill forms to the insurance companies, and we have to receive payments and update their respective patients. We work with denials, exceptions, and explanations of benefits. We also get information that needs to be updated in the system.

We started an Automation department inside our company which is currently training new developers, but we are planning on promoting the use of UiPath so we can have even more developers. Our goal is to have 60% of the company able to deploy different types of automation across our different clients.

We can replace human workers doing labor-intensive repetitive tasks, and focus them on other more difficult ones. Also, in the past, we have had to spend quite some time training human workers who, in the end, do not last more than 6 months. It ends up as a fail. Just being able to replace human workers with bots is going to be an awesome plus at our company.
  • Setting up UiPath is really easy and they have a LOT of training information in their Academy, so there is no way you will get lost.
  • They are always looking for ways to be better. We were having issues working with Citrix environments, but recently they released an update which will let you work inside of these type of environments like it was a regular automation.
  • Their community and forums are really helpful. They are always promoting their users to help each other inside the forums. You can also see the "experts" helping often.
  • The abrupt updates have been an issue for me when I am developing my bots. Sometimes the updates came with a bug, and I have to fix it.
  • Having up-to-date training material would be really awesome. We have found that some documents inside the Academy are pretty old (maybe 2 yrs already?).
  • It's too white. The background being white sometimes bother my eyes. They had a new theme which is black, but it's still in beta phase.
We have been able to automate some of the tasks we do here in the company. We can replace human workers doing labor-intensive repetitive tasks, and focus them on other more difficult ones — no need to spend money on training new people. Also, if you're looking for more accuracy, UiPath will help you build really good bots which will improve your workflow.

It's still not very good for working inside Citrix environments, but they are working on it.

UI-path is used across the whole organization. Every sub-firm has its own Robotics-Team, which is dealing with Automation Solutions in their Departments. Each Robotics-Team is part of a community, which is discussing News, Problems and other Information. As there are many Business processes to automate, there is no specific Business Problem that is addressed. Productive robots are running in diverse Departments, like HR, Accounting or Cash Servies.
  • Excellent customer service, quick responses, and detailed and helpful information.
  • Online academy platform with video-classes to improve your UiPath skills.
  • Easy to handle tool, as there are drag and drop activities used to create a robot.
  • OCR activites could be more accurate.
  • Image Recognition activities as well.
  • The RE-Framework could be better explained, as it is one of the most important Frameworks to automate a process.
UiPath is well suited for repetitive Tasks that are done in environments like Excel, SAP or Access i.e., as there are add-ins that support these programs and make automation easy. Image recognition and OCR activities could be a little more accurate, especially when it comes to the scraping of scanned PDF documents. All in all, they are working well already (especially compared to other Automation Tools), but there is still room to improve.

There were old applications whose source code was not available and with the help of this tool we were able to automate the process which resulted in saving 200 hrs man-hours every month. It is also reliable and secure which makes Clients amazed about RPA and it gives ample opportunity for Automation.
  • UiPath is easy to use compared to other RPA tools like Pega Robotics. It provides amazing opportunities even for those who are not from a technical background. The use of Orchestrator really helps in deploying large implementations with such ease.
  • RE Framework and Orchestrator. Both are amazing tools that can help you to deploy and execute bots.
  • UiPath Academy. This is one of the best Academies I have ever seen. One can learn and advance if he goes through the courses. One has to study as assessments are designed in that way.
  • There should be an offline Orchestrator provided for big enterprises since some banks hesitate to put their data in the cloud. Secondly, it will help with managing bots as the current provided Orchestrator will face scalability issues in the future.
For any manual task or process, UiPath is the best choice compared to other available RPA tools, like for automating ticket generation processes, system health checks, log rotation, report generations, etc. It's a new path full of opportunities waiting to be explored.

Clients have to understand that any RPA tool can only automate those functions which are already present in the applications, and they do not add new functionalities in existing code.

It plays a really important role in the organization's automation endeavor. At the moment, it is used just in one department, but in the future, there will be significant growth in terms of using this product. It addresses the need to automate the manually done, monotonous tasks. With this product, people can do much more creative tasks.
  • Easy to use - You can easily pick up the way to use it because of its user-friendly UI and the comprehensive tutorials.
  • Easy to learn - UiPath provides a really useful Academy Platform where you can get all the required knowledge to start using the software and automate business tasks.
  • Easy to implement - It provides a wide range of activities, you can automate a lot of programs/software with it. It just needs UiPath Studio installed, and that's all.
  • There are some annoying bugs, which can take a lot of time to debug. I mean, a few hours pass with debugging until you realize, that the problem you've met, is caused by a bug, and it is not because of faulty code.
  • It is a bit easy to get lost in the naming conventions (eg. Robots, Orchestrator, Job, Process, Queues, Environment etc). However, after the training, you will quickly get used to it in a real-life working situation.
  • UiPath needs to improve in terms of the certification platform (it is really old school and outdated), and because of the monthly community releases - sometimes, when you are watching the training videos, you can realize that it was recorded in a much older environment.
When your organization has a lot of monotonous, manually done tasks, UiPath comes into the picture. With that, you can easily automate tasks, which are taking a lot of time to do manually and have low added value (such as copying invoice data to backend systems, etc.). It is less appropriate when it faces that kind of tasks, which needs a lot of human actions and has a lot of decision points. In that situation, you should decide whether is it worth it to automate that task, or not?

Currently, UiPath is being used as a multi-departmental tool between IT and Finance to help solve problems such as Invoice organization and renaming and advanced filtering of large Excel documents with crucial information for the business. We also use this as a service to implement with our clients, the most common problem they have is invoice classification using bill numbers that they get from emails or other sources.
  • Uipath has a very intuitive UI that makes it very simple to understand even for people that don't have very high technical knowledge.
  • The highly reliable Orchestrator permits you to have full control of your bots remotely.
  • Easy to deploy in a production environment, linking the robots to the Orchestrator.
  • Could use more OCR options.
  • The REFramework could have some improvements.
  • Operator compatibility.
UiPath is perfect for automating processes that rely heavily on business rules like filling reports, filtering and creating sheets of data, generation of datasets by capping the source of the data, etc. Where UiPath struggles is with subjective processes that require more human interaction like the classification of invoices based on their content. This could use a better implementation of cognitive technology and IA.

The scope of the project foresees the change of several administrative processes of the America Movil group. We researched several automation tools from leaders of the market and UiPath was one of them. The cost and the impacts of the maintenance of services are the main reasons for our choice, as well as partnerships of the contracting company of the group.
  • Low cost of implementation and maintenance of architecture compared to competitors.
  • A rich collection of examples and an active community for problem-solving.
  • Diversity of packages and add-ons.
  • As in other tools, OCR and its applications are limited and only a few are effective.
  • Rules of argument in the code are confusing.
  • Templates are useful but not applicable due to the diversity of the utility.
Web scraping and table generation are quite intuitive and easy to deploy but information that is extracted from documents through OCR is unreliable. The possibility of integration with API and other APP is a strong point of the tool that generates greater freedom in development. The development client interface is a little polluted and the organization of the activity stream is confusing and requires more attention from the developer in script creation and in the change of activities done previously.

We are using UiPath to create a daily reconciliation report. UiPath helps with downloading a daily report and macros help to create a report quickly and error free. UiPath also helps in doing repetitive tasks. Implementing solution is very easy with this tool. Also UiPath has a community forum and any member can provide solutions. The advantage of this is you will get a solution in [a short amount of] time.
  • Fast Coding... Complete a Project very Quickly
  • Easy to understand UiPath Studio and its components
  • All components are separate like UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and UiExplorer for creating complex selectors
  • Easy to integrate with a third-party library
  • Any one can see code and change the code....No login authentication. This is the only con I have seen so far.
Daily reconciliation Report:
  • With automation you can create a daily reconciliation report with no error. UiPath helps with retrieving a report from SAP, our mainframe, web sites, etc., and VBA macros which helps to create reports very quickly...very useful for back office work.

We've automated multiple flows at our client. Thanks to the automation, fewer errors were made and the flows also were executed a lot quicker than when they were done manually.
Despite the implementation/consulting cost, the client will be able to quickly make a profit out of the automated flows because fewer people will be used to execute them.
  • User-friendly and easy to learn.
  • A wide range of out-of-the-box functionalities (e.g. web, excel, Citrix, computer vision).
  • A lot of online training available.
  • The licensing model is sometimes hard to understand.
UiPath can be used to automate almost anything, from web interactions to read/write to/from excel files. It can also interact with a Citrix environment.
Before the Computer Vision functionality was added in the latest version, it was sometimes hard to automate using the Citrix environment, but since the new functionality was added, this is also very easy.

The first tool we explored was UiPath and then me and my team performed a PoC on all listed attributes to test the tool at its extreme end. Overall, we were very impressed with the features and its ease of use. We have successfully deployed it at our premises to automate our operational activities and since then, we are getting results as expected.

We also proposed an architecture to one of our customers and designed it to achieve it on a PaaS, automating their daily CRM activities and the majority of back-office tasks which engaged many headcounts and repetitive processes.
  • Easy to install and deploy infrastructure. It is convenient on both IaaS and PaaS platforms.
  • Content, education on the tools, and blogs for reference are nicely articulated. Also, the team is available for technical support on channels like Slack, Forum and their technical help-desk. Last but not least, major learning courses are free.
  • Security, credential management and data privacy are maintained in an appropriate way which helps us to focus more on the process part and our deliverables.
  • They badly lag in providing support.
  • Licensing pattern is very confusing. It is very hard to determine which one to propose to the customer when designing a solution.
  • Script based automation to deploy infrastructure is quite difficult.
UiPath is well suited for human resources and financial services tasks. UiPath is difficult to chip in with IT operational activities where multiple stepstones need to be logged.
