(76-100 of 195)A must have tool - UiPath
- Easy to use. Even if you do not have coding background you can easily start using it.
- Custom activities. You can create and include custom activities.
- The ability to code in UiPath is pretty good, but it is a disadvantage for those who do not have a coding background and already know how to work on complex automations.
- Licensing matrix is pretty complex.
My UiPath RPA Review
- Automation
- Integration with existing applications i.e. Outlook
- Long training process
- Wish there was a quick reference guide to look at instead of peering thorugh forum and training videos
UiPath should be the de facto RPA tool for any organization looking to get into RPA
- Central bot control through Orchestrator
- Windows automation (element selection and click/type simulation)
- The UiPath Studio could use some work. I've always wanted to be able to colorize the activity boxes as that would help make the structure of the workflow more easily visible.
- The Orchestrator Dashboard could also use some improvements. Being able to customize what we'd like to see on the landing page and what statistics to display would be good. Today, we had to build a different web app that displays custom statistical charts (hooked up to the Orchestrator API).
The Justified Market Leader
- High usability.
- Powerful. They added monitoring features for jobs and queues making it easier for both development and the day to day operations.
- Scalability costs.
- UI RPA interactions inevitably bring risk when the automated software changes. Adjustments are necessary.
UiPath Pros and Cons
- Automating repetitive tasks which reduces manual efforts and helps generate revenue.
- Easy to learn and user interface was good.
- Limited Excel activities. Some excel activities are not present like removing empty rows and empty columns. We can perform this by writing code for it, but in other tools this function is directly available.
- Less security.
It is less appropriate for large scale industries and SAP applications. With my personal experience, I feel BluePrism is omre secure than UiPath when it comes to storing credentials and client data because they maintain their own servers. Automating SAP applications is easier in other tools as well. UiPath does have an integration with Python, though.
Developers POV on UiPath
- Easy to learn
- Good customer service
- Reading scanned invoices
- Computer vision based selectors
Review of UiPath Enterprise RPA
- Timely support from UiPath
- User-friendly and simple to understand
- OCR is slow when automation is running in Citrix environment.
- While executing xml from the command line interface, we need to make sure that environment is available.
Best tool in the RPA Industry
- Very easy to learn. People with minimum coding skills can learn and work in it.
- It has a very good community. The community forum provides solutions to all problems very quickly. We've never had to stop or interrupt coding projects with the help of this forum.
- A bit expensive if you're only looking to do smaller tasks.
- Very poor at extracting data from PDFs or word documents. It would be great if extraction tools/engines like ABBY are included with it.
When we had to read the 250 types of invoice formats of one of our clients, we did not get the proper results using UiPath RPA.
Good RPA developing tool
- Affordable
- Efficient
- Another alternative to Abbyy.
- Biweekly scheduling option in Orchestrator.
UiPath Enterprise RPA Review
- Highly interactive and easy to use.
- Constant updates and improvements.
- Make it easier to update Studio versions.
- Improve interaction with Chrome.
It will be less appropriate for complex scenarios where decision making is required. New processes that are not closed loops/tasks become complicated because they imply constant changes to the robot.
Want to reduce your workload? Use UiPath RPA
- Data filling and account updates are very good with UiPath robots.
- Invoice process and creating excel files.
- Sometime OCR fails to read PDF documents.
- Have had problems capturing UI elements when they are run on different systems because it is extremely environment-dependent.
Automation made easier with UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform
- UiPath is free and easy to learn.
- Features like graphical interface for development, package management and building custom activities make it the best tool available in the market.
- There should be some replacements for cloud OCRs as it is against the compliance for most of the companies we work with because of the chance for data leaks.
- Developers have to be dependent on third-party tools like Visual Studio to create custom activities. There must be some tool to create and update packages in UiPath itself.
Take the Bot out of the Human!
- Bridge gaps in current processes or automations.
- Automating work done in 3rd party SaS solutions.
- Working with browsers besides IE.
- Giving examples of their activities.
It isn't the answer for everything though. There are other tools that can do automation or have built-in workflows, and there is no reason to break the wheel to put another one in its place. Keep the good things you already have going and use RPA to improve on them.
UiPath RPA Platform Review
- Getting data from and writing to Excel files.
- Moving files across directories.
- The licensing system is not very clear at first and changes often.
- Selector issues are sometimes hard to solve.
It is less suited in streamed environments, such as Citrix, but UiPath is working hard to improve this point.
Code Less, Automate More
- Codeless automation
- Good community support
- REFramework testing module
- Filter Data Table activity
UiPath for better Robotic Process Automations
- Automating data entry processes
- Automating repetitive tasks with no change.
- OCR text based reading from files
- Automating processes that run on virtual environments
- It would be good if they can provide functions to automate unstructured data.
- When dealing with some web APIS such as dialogflow. Even though there's a package in Uipath for dialogflow, it does not say how we can use to package to connect to the web api. If they can provide us with a good manual that would be good..
- Developers need a good activity to read ms word files. Current MS Word reading activity has many flows.
If you have tasks that are prone to change and are not repetitive, then you can automate these tasks.
Fantastic
- Performances.
- Community.
- Interaction on Citrix environments.
- Easy approach on it.
- Powerful!
- XAML stability (many errors when copy-paste is used for a block of activity).
- A free powerful OCR.
Less: There are some difficulties in interfacing with java-based applications in many cases. Some bugs in some types of operations.
Uipath is the best way to build Bots
- UiPath is very simple to learn.
- Any type of application can be automated (Desktop Application, Web Application and also applications reachable only via remote technologies such as Citrix, Remote Desktop and so on).
- The writing of a process code takes place entirely through the use of objects. In the event that there were no objects capable of solving a particular problem, it is possible to use some languages of the .net platform such as: VB.net, C#.
- It is easy to scale the solution by adding more robots to run a process in case the solution requires more performance in the future.
- It can also be used by functional analysts to design the flow to be automated.
- An academy is available online where basic and advanced courses can be taken. It is also possible to take a completely free basic certification.
- To understand how a robot is working in a production environment, good log management is required. This is a point that can certainly be improved.
- There is no clear separation between the design of the flow and its development. If you do not write the code in an orderly manner it is a bit difficult to change it later.
- Uipath provides queues that are very useful and complex objects. A tool that allows a "manual" entry into the queues can be useful for all phases of the process life cycle.
UiPath - A Boon for Digital Business Automation
- It will be helpful in automating processes both back office and for front office operations.
- A cost-effective software for those who are in initial stages of automation initiatives.
- Shorter processing times using UiPath Automation when compared to manual processes.
- The scalability options is one area where they need to work upon when compared with two other leading softwares in the market.
- AI support is another area which further needs to be fine tuned to suit the growing automation needs.
RPA ideal for business environments
- The UiPath interface is user-friendly.
- UiPath has a very fast implementation.
- The main advantage of this tool is the possibility of automating desktop applications and virtual environments (Citrix).
- It is available for free (community edition) for all who wish to learn more about RPA.
- UiPath automation helps me to perform all text functions, make screenshots in a timely manner, and fully automate keyboard actions.
- Increase in dependence on maintenance and repair.
- Specialized labor that increases the cost.
- Centralization of processes.
- Higher cost to control very small or simple tasks.
UiPath on a consultant POV
- Automating Excel applications is made easier through the use of UiPath
- Inspecting and spying web forms elements
- Scraping data from a PDF form through the use of OCR
- Debugging mode would sometimes take time. Hope they’d allow developers to edit a workflow while on breakpoint.
- Provide simple activities for Excel like renaming or deleting a worksheet or formatting a column or cell.
- Provide more activities that would help with automating black screens.
UIPath is the market leader for a good reason - it delivers.
- Reduce time to check integrity of documents
- Automatic detection of document types and uploading of files to TMF and other regulatory systems
- Automation of integration between applications such as downloading attachments and processing data
- UiPath is the leading tool for this technology area - but we might see better integration with databases
- Better management of unattended robots
- Better scalability of robots
- Clearer license use of other applications that move from being single user to server implemented use case
Use it for evolving tactical solutions where existing processes are based on human tasks.
Not to be used for building new apps.
Great RPA tool - easy, flexible and very little coding
- The user interface is very user-friendly and simple to use.
- Support from UiPath community is pretty good.
- UiPath is pretty easy to learn. Even the training content provided along with the application is very good and effective.
- Almost any rule based process can be automated with the help of UiPath.
- You don't have to wait for the results to get generated. It generates the results in almost a couple of minutes.
- The way error logs are generated can be improved a bit, because it is kind of a challenge for a non-technical user to identify the errors.
- Other advanced OCR tools like ABBYY could be provided along with the application, as currently one needs to pay for it separately.
- While working on few legacy platforms, one sometimes faces difficulty finding the object locators.
Game Changer RPA Tool - UiPath
However, after our discussions, they are confused if their software decision was right. Most client decisions cannot be made just by reviewing blogs, websites or reviews. They have to see some of them run live. The next question clients ask if what software we prefer, and most times we propose UiPath.
- Faster execution in terms of data being handled
- Clear and concise UI elements being captured
- Outputs are derived as expected with no suprises
- No way of identifying if there is a bot being executed. We could see the bot runner highlighted in white and blue, but it still doesn't really look like it is running
- Error logs. We have categorization, but it is a great challenge for lay person or business/non-technical users to identify errors
- Error highlights, warnings during drag and drop of commands
UiPath delivers on automation
- UiPath is actually easy to learn, the training material is effective and to the point. UiPath certainly has the capabilities to automate manual repetitive tasks that involve any platform, with a stronger preference for websites.
- There is room from improvement when dealing with Excel automation, but the solution is to create Excel macros and have the robot to call it, making it a great team solution.
- As I mentioned, Excel automation is not very effective, there are a number of packages to add, but there is nothing as smooth as a good macro.
- Working with selectors is certainly challenging and UiPath does a good job with that, but there is room for improvement since the interface could be smarter in selecting the right attributes and warn the user if something is not properly setup.
UiPath is less appropriate to work with MS Office products, particularly when Excel or Access have user interfaces with buttons. UiPath cannot deal with them via simulate click, which makes the automation less effective by forcing the robot to take control of the computer and letting it finish, meaning the user has to wait for the robot to finish and can't perform other duties.
