UKG Pro is being used across the whole organization. Before we were using multiple systems to house employee data, UKG Pro solved that by allowing us to have everything all in one system.
  • Customer Service - They are quick to respond and resolve issues.
  • Product Innovation - They are constantly making updates to the system to improve the user experience.
  • Great Learning Tools - Not only does UKG have a great system, but they give administrators and users many tools to learn how to use the system.
  • Our company has had some issues with Workforce Management missing some key areas that we need for day to day operations.
UKG Pro has made the Human Resource Department's day to day activities a lot easier to manage. Before we would spend most of our time entering in data into two to three different systems. With UKG, we are able to have one system of record and even allow users to have more control over updating their information within the system. From a benefits stand point, we went from having to meet with every employee for Open Enrollment to having a large percentage fill out their own enrollment online due to ease of use for the user.

We use across entire organization. It was purchased to reduce the number of systems we utilized to hire, onboard, pay and manage employee records. We were able to move almost paperless for employee records, automate workflows, and a powerful reporting tool to monitor and track complex employee data.

It is a system with lots of capability and can be a powerful tool for employers. However it is a system that needs a dedicated individual(s) who is knowledgeable to configure and maintain. It can be an overwhelming transition for employers who have had a system like ADP that is configured and updated by ADP. A messy implementation can cause many pain points down the road.

We currently use UKG as our HRIS. Our employees all have access to UKG and use it for timesheets, benefit change submissions, and general job and compensation information. Our managers use UKG for recruiting, personnel changes, reporting and tracking of members on their team, etc. HR uses UKG for recruiting, timesheets, payroll, benefits, education, etc.
  • UKG does a great job of keeping their system up-to-date.
  • UKG provides excellent customer service and easy access to a significant amount of resources.
  • UKG cares about our company and wants to walk along side us with each current and new venture we undertake.
  • I would like to see UKG lessen turnover of assigned UKG team to each company. It's difficult to really know someone and feel comfortable going to them when that rep is constantly changing.
UKG Pro is truly a full service HRIS. They offer many different products based on the company's needs. UKG Pro allows customers to customize many parts of the system allowing lots of flexibility based on the fact that each company has many different needs. UKG Pro helps to keep our company in compliance, even as different laws and requirements are constantly changing.

We use it org wide for all facets [of] payroll, benefit enrollment, and performance management. We also use document acknowledgements. It's our system of record. We also use BI.
  • BI - reporting is robust.
  • Payroll processing - up to date with latest regulations and allows us to process payroll efficiently.
  • Benefit enrollment is easy for end users.
  • Giving was rolled out and the functionality is lacking. It's hard to report on and manage.
  • Unable to see benefit/deduction history.
  • Would like to be able to set time-out periods for different rolls rather than system wide.
I'm a bit biased because I've used UltiPro for quite a while, as an admin, a consultant, and now as a manager. It works in most scenarios. However, the interface process can be very frustrating. If a company is quite small the system is probably more robust than what they need.

UKG Pro is our one stop shop! All of our subsidiaries use the platform and it's been flexible enough to meet our needs from our passenger rail line to our industrial warehouse development company. The interface is very user friendly and helped us transition our employees from HR time stealers for things like address or direct deposit updates. Now we can be more strategic and help propel our companies forward.
  • The interface is very user friendly and easy to modify most fields to fit our companies needs.
  • They are great at listening to clients for ways to improve the product and keeping up with federal mandates.
  • They have created a great community where professionals can exchange best practices and solutions to issues.
  • I love the ticket system for bringing up issues, but it could use some refinement in the way it is processed. Sometimes it takes way longer than I feel it should for my issue to be addressed. Especially for cases that have to occur annually because the change must be made by UKG.
  • I would like to see them continue to expand the ability to have component companies have their own branding. It was great to see in Onboarding.
UKG Pro is great for the company that wants to consolidate their information onto one platform. If you have to manually move information from one system to the other, then UKG is great because it;s all in one place. This helps cut down with data entry errors. It's also great for companies whose HR is bogged down with administrative work. The system can be set up to allow managers and employees more access to make necessary changes freeing up HR to help in a more strategic role.

We use this throughout our whole organization. Problems we have are mostly with Time and Attendance.
  • Gives you ample notice of releases so you can review and be ready for them.
  • Onboarding - we would like to see employee numbers implemented right when they are moved from Recruiting to Onboarding.
  • UTA- lots of things they make you put in a custom for instead of standard delivered.
  • Recruiting- would love to see where you can post in more than 1 city instead of creating multiple reqs for that.
Tech tickets take a long time to hear back on, so that is frustrating.

We utilize UKG for our payroll processing as well as tax payment services. We also rely on the BI reporting for every department in the company. The employees have their own portal by which they can do open enrollment, view stubs, and change their address, W4, or direct deposit.
  • The payroll process is very streamlined and easy to use as opposed to other providers.
  • They offer a multitude of training modules and opportunities which are very professionally done.
  • They communicate well in most cases. There are a couple of exceptions such as file feeds.
  • The file feed process. We heavily rely on them in this area. We have one file feed that is never quite right. It takes months to get one set up. It's been an issue for us.
  • The case system. I have cases that are fairly old that have either never been looked at or says "communication attempted" when it wasn't. I am not a fan of this system of communication.
  • Delay in communications. I can send a request to UKG and it could take several days to get a reply back for something I need immediately.
The one thing that would be an issue for some is that it's a bit more hands on. For example, someone coming from ADP would have had ADP do a lot of the legwork on year-end processing. Or adjustments. With UKG, the Payroll user has to be trained and prepared to run the full gamut of year-end. It can be stressful for some. But, once I became accustomed to that, I actually prefer it because, if an adjustment needs to be done, I don't have to rely on someone else to do it.

It has also saved a lot time with reviews and annual pay increase process. It makes it easy to build reports and extract for the management team.
  • It has made the 1094/1095 process very simple to provide.
  • Year-end and quarter-end filings are very easy.
  • I like the payroll process.
  • I don't like how every new feature ends up being at a cost.
  • Security is good but the reset process for employees doesn't function very well.
  • I do not like the way that Kronos and Pro do not function well together and feel we were mislead that it would
  • Mobile app between Kronos and Pro is a disaster.
I would recommend it but not sure about the time management piece. I believe functionality between Kronos and Pro need to be improved.

We use it company-wide. We use it for employees to clock in and out, recruiting/onboarding, perception surveys, performance management: reviews, and a place to house employee documents.
  • We have always had great support. If we ever open a ticket they always seem to be addressed quickly and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

  • Always updating the software to new and improved applications.
  • Sometimes UTA "breaks" and weird things happen and we have no idea why.
  • Benefits Prime is something we introduced to our company last year. It's been a nightmare and if we knew what we know now, we wouldn't have implemented it.
Great for Recruiting. We enjoy how we create job postings and send offer letters, being able to keep that history in our system. Perception surveys have helped our company immensely in reviewing where we need improvement and hearing what our employees need help with/enjoy working with our company.

  • Cognos Analytics tool: We can do in-depth reporting on all of our data.
  • Perception: surveys, real-time employee surveys are a great tool to take the "pulse" of our organization.
  • Support: I feel like their customer support does a great job getting back to customers and really wanting to help.
  • Benefits Prime: We struggled with implementation and I don't think this is on UKG; it was predicated on the Plan Source team. I also think this was due to Plan Source overpromising what they could deliver.
  • We have been seeing a significant increase in "limited functionality" in some of our modules in the last few months. I'm not sure what that is about but it's annoying.
I really think if you are a medium to larger sized business, they would do a great job for you. It's easy to use and the interface is intuitive. I think for the cost, if you are under a certain size, it might be kind of expensive.

The system is being used for general employee administration as well as performance management, recruiting, onboarding and payroll. We also leverage the reporting function in BI to assist with business decisions. It has allowed us to manage our HR function in one cohesive system.

I have worked at two organizations that have used UKG Pro and the system was suitable for both, one was rather complicated in terms of needs (i.e. types of employees, benefit plans, PTO plans, etc) and another on the less complicated side. If looking for a robust reporting system, UKG Pro is by far the best that I have come across.

  • Lately, it seems the customer support team has been disconnected. I have been bounced around to 3 different areas in trying to resolve a reporting issue. Everyone has pointed a finger at another area.
Companies that have a designated HRIS specialist would have an easier time implementing UKG and setting up the systems. We had difficulty setting the system up just because of our lack of technological understanding. Once set up, UKG is very user-friendly.

We use UKG Pro as our HRIS for all things related to the employee's time with us during and after their employment. It is used across the whole organization to manage employee data, process job changes, and benefits enrollment. It alleviates HR responsibility as it is a self-service tool for employees to update addresses, W4s, pull pay stubs and elect benefits. It services as an information platform to reach all employees as we have over 140 locations across the US.
  • UKG Pro is completely malleable to fit an organization's needs whether it be different PTO plans or benefits to allowing users to make job/salary changes.
  • It is very easy to use. With high turnover, we have new users every day and we are able to provide guides so new managers can jump right in without a lot of training.
  • It continues to allow old employees to access their information for employment dates, pay stubs, and tax documents.
  • We have a lot of processes that go through the system with several approvals. Sometimes, the process will get stuck with one approver who requests to change the effective date, and we need to resubmit the whole transaction to fit the update.
  • We find that BI can be difficult for our most skilled users.
  • We have many rehires whose company paid benefits need to manually reinstated to their profile. We wish these were auto-added as if they were a completely new hire.
UKG is well suited for many users and can be adapted to our ever-changing business. We wish UKG Pro could offer more ways to engage our nonusers and track who is not logging in.

UltiPro is being used across our entire company. We use UltiPro for payroll, recruitment, employee reviews, employee documents, PTO just to name a few. UltiPro keeps our company on track.

Instead of using a punch time clock, you can just enter your time in UltiPro and it keeps track for you. The downside to this is that employees can fib on what time they are in and leave since it isn't a punch.

We use UKG for payroll, onboarding, document tracking, and recruitment. It is very helpful with running reports and tracking employee data. We like the BI feature to create and run reports. There are a lot of available options from UKG but sometimes they are too costly to implement. It is used by our entire organization.

  • Adding dependents to benefit deduction plans can be time consuming as we don't use Open Enrollment.
I think you need to ensure it can deliver what you deliver from your current systems coupled with what you would like to do in the future.

We currently use UKG Pro in all aspects across our organization. We use recruiting, onboarding, payroll, learning management, and compensation management.

Overall, UKG Pro is a great system. It has many applications that you can use for your business. It's shortfall, in my opinion, is that sometimes it's too big and you can't fine tune it to exact instances that may help you in your specific industry or business.

We currently use Ulti as our organization's HRIS system. We use the system as our Core HR, Compensation Management, Performance Management, Time Management, LMS and Recruiting and Onboarding currently.
  • The core system is top notch we never have any problems with it.
  • Our launch experience was very positive with lots of wonderful support.
  • Benefits Admin is a beast! We tracked the time we spent this year and it was well over 300 hours prepping for open enrollment and double checking behind.
  • In core - an offboarding workflow that is more configurable.
  • In core - more spaces in the job title field.
  • Little things here or there with modules but the big ones are above.
  • We are switching from UltiPro Learning this year. NOT user friendly at all for end user or admin.
  • We cancelled perceptions - it wasn’t intuitive for the admins and was super expensive
I think it works great for a company our size (400) that is fairly complicated in our structure. I don't know who it would not be suitable for.

UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) is used companywide. We use the benefits platform as well as payroll processing, taxes, onboarding, and business intelligence reporting. It helps us process payroll accurately and in a timely way. Benefits are housed in core, which makes it easier to write reports and pull reports from business intelligence. Employees are able to log in and change their W-4s as well as look at and download their W-2s and pay stubs. We also use the applications on our phones for easier and more readily available information.
  • BI reporting--you can write your own reports and, if running into issues, you can create a case where someone will reach out and help walk you through it.
  • Customer support--if any issues occur during payroll processing, benefits, taxes, or anything in between, rapid response is always available to help.
  • Creating a case--sometimes it takes a little longer than expected to get attention to a case or have it resolved.
  • BI reporting--since the update to AI, it has been more difficult to write reports, however there is a learning curve.
Business Intelligence reporting. Before upgrading to AI, it was extremely easy to log in and be able to write any type of report that the company may need. Saving those reports to Team Content makes it easier for everyone in the team/company to be able to run the report at any time.

UltiPro is fantastic! Customer Service is always there to help. Any corporation looking to consolidate systems and vendors could benefit from this system.

Use it for onboarding, payroll, reporting, benefits tracking, ACA, 1095, W's etc.
  • Customer Service - they care about their customers and helping them get issues resolved
  • limited amount to time with experts once implementation is done.
The multi functions are great, you can add in other pkg to complete the whole HRIS package.
