Upgrade Process

Yes - We recently added some new modules to UltiPro - Employee File Management and Employee Case Management. These new modules did not impact UltiPro Core, so there was no downtime of the system. The new modules work fine and we are setting up to speed on them. The UltiPro system is automatically upgraded twice a year and there is rarely any negative impact from these upgrades. They are usually invisible except for the new features available.

Upgrade Process

Yes - We have been through several releases with UltiPro and each one is smooth. UltiPro provides training in advance and notifies us of features/enhancements allowing us to decide if we want to turn them on or not.

Upgrade Process

Yes - 
Yes tie the upgrade went smoothly and done thru the maintenance window by Ultimate.
Everything that was updated was communicated by newswires and there was no down time which was very impressive since there are numerous tables involved as well as factoring in if customers has customs are not.
If there are customs, these are tested once the update has been applied to their environment and suggests the customers confirm customs are functioning as they're designed to do.

Upgrade Process

Yes - Any time we have gone through a new release, it has gone very smoothly. Ultimate Software puts out very detailed release notes so we stay completely up to date on all changes coming through with a new release. They always let us know very well in advance of a new release so that we can prepare and work around their schedule. The releases are always applied in the early morning hours (between 3a and 5a) when no one is using the system and they are always done when they say they are going to be done.

Upgrade Process

Yes - Ultimate schedules 2 main upgrades a year. Prior to the upgrades they publish notes of what is changing and they hold webinars to go over all of the upcoming changes. We purchase the custom testing package that makes sure we have no issues as a result of the upgrades. There is very little that has to be done as the result of an upgrade. In a lot of cases you have the option of turning on or off new items and a good number of the changes are the result of customer input. It's a pretty simple process and most people don't even know it's going on. They schedule the upgrades overnight and let you know that your system won't be available for a few hours. It's never been a problem.

Upgrade Process

Yes - UltiPro releases twice annual major updates in Spring and Fall. Inevitably, these do have minor impacts, which can range from a previously created report no longer functioning properly, to a change in access that has to be reset. One of the ways UltiPro could improve its update process is to make readily available a list of Known Issues once they are discovered. Instead, individual customers have to create cases, provide their information, and then are told about the known issue. I understand no company likes to admit what's going wrong with a product - but being more up front about that would better the customer experience.

Upgrade Process

Yes - Upgrades with UltiPro are very simple. Being in a SaaS environment, the upgrades are handled during the middle of the night by their team. For users with a test environment, systems are upgraded prior to Production so you have an opportunity to test processes and new functionality prior to it becoming production-impacting. This allows me the chance to update any training material before my users see it in production. Release highlights detail the new functionality and whether it is on by default or needs to be enabled, and virtual sessions are available that do a very good job of highlighting the changes.

Upgrade Process

Yes - Yes the new release went smoothly and we upgraded our I-9 and E-Verify capabilities with the onboarding tool. I can now onboard our new hires all in one step instead of having to take the time to log into E-Verify and enter all the information in the system again. It is very helpful.
