Vantiv, now known as Worldpay, has been widely used by companies across various departments to streamline payment processes and generate detailed reports. For example, magazine subscription departments have benefited from Vantiv's payment processing capabilities, allowing customers to easily pay for their subscriptions using major credit cards. This has simplified the payment experience and contributed to smoother operations in this department. Additionally, Vantiv's software compiles payment information into comprehensive reports, making it easier for businesses to track and manage payments. Monthly billing statements for credit card charges further enhance financial tracking and reporting.

Small businesses have also relied on Vantiv for payment processing, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. However, concerns about fraudulent practices and the impact of the pandemic on their survival have been expressed. While some businesses have successfully utilized Vantiv's services for obtaining payment details and generating reports, there have been cases where certain businesses faced difficulties. For instance, a family-owned indoor entertainment business experienced financial strain when they contacted Worldpay to stop collecting processing fees during the COVID-19 shutdown but received no action or relief. These challenges highlight the importance of understanding the terms and conditions of contracts with payment processors like Worldpay and actively addressing concerns to ensure smooth collaboration.

Integration with Worldpay's services has proven beneficial for clients in several ways. Firstly, it helps prevent chargebacks by providing reliable payment processing solutions. Secondly, Worldpay's broad support for international credit cards enables businesses to cater to a wider customer base. Additionally, compatibility with popular payment methods like Apple Pay enhances convenience and accessibility for customers. For companies with multiple locations, Worldpay's services impact various aspects of their business operations. However, despite these advantages, some of these businesses have faced challenges in areas such as gift card fulfillment, functionality issues, duplicate charges, crashes, customer service quality, fraud prevention, and onboarding errors. It is worth noting that while these challenges exist, businesses have also acknowledged the lessons learned from their experiences and the understanding gained in navigating the payment processing landscape.

Users highly recommend trying out WorldPay for its low fees, which makes it an attractive option for businesses. They advise caution when considering a switch to avoid getting locked into another fixed contract. Additionally, users mention that WorldPay's chargeback assistance tends to be more favorable towards the third party involved. As an alternative, they suggest opting for a more reputable company that prioritizes transparency and is upfront about their activities. Considering these aspects can help businesses make an informed decision when selecting a payment processor that meets their needs effectively.

Vantiv is used primarily by Accounts Receivable to obtain incoming payment details and reporting. Some other departments, such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounts Payable, as well as our Financial Executive Committee, use Vantiv as well for some reporting. Vantiv allows us to view and download reports of all deposits across multiple accounts. Through Vantiv, we also view and reply to credit card disputes from customers. We can process credit card transactions through Vantiv as well.
  • Vantiv's credit card processing terminal is very straightforward, easy to use, and fast.
  • Vantiv's credit card dispute portal provides beneficial information regarding disputes and chargebacks. Even the customer number associated with the charge is provided, which cuts down on time needed to research conflicts.
  • The Vantiv homepage/dashboard is structured in a very easy to navigate fashion.
  • The website often crashes while downloading reports or switching between modules.
  • The phone support is lacking - support is available 24/7, but it is difficult to find a rep that is knowledgeable and can provide the answers you are looking for.
  • There are hidden fees that are not disclosed when opening the account.
Vantiv is appropriate for a large company that operates with several bank accounts. The dashboard makes it very easy to toggle between separate bank accounts. Due to the fee structure and hidden fees assessed, I would not recommend this program to a small business as there are much more affordable options on the market.
  • Vantiv has cut down on time needed to research and respond to credit card disputes by about 50%.
  • Vantiv can cause delays in reporting when the website is down or keeps crashing. This is mainly a problem around month-end when reports are needed as soon as possible.
Vantiv provides many more options in the way of reporting than Authorize.Net and Paypal. Vantiv also lets you link multiple accounts to one login, which saves a lot of time. I would say that Vantiv's website is less reliable than that of Authorize.Net or Paypal, which can be extremely frustrating when trying to meet deadlines.
Many customer support employees of Vantiv do not seem to know much about the Vantiv website. I have been transferred around to as many as four different people to get an answer to what I thought was a simple question. I am not sure if it would be possible to receive adequate support for a more complex issue.
