Veeam Backup has it all
We have not had to restore data using Veeam other than test restores which have been quick.

Happy with this product after using for 2 years
we have used it to regularly backup user data and on the occasions when when users have left the business we have often needed to restore data from their onedrive
I have had to restore a user mailbox for someone that has deleted their whole mailbox before. It was much faster than having the user pull the data back from their Archive (provided by a 3rd party).

The most fully featured M365 backup solution on the market!
Because we are an MSP that offers customers a "complete" solution we do the restores when the customers request it. Therefore we have not implemented this feature yet.

Review of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
I've had several instances of users contacting me to say they deleted calendar and email items and can't find them in deleted items. I've been able to pull up the missing items from the backup and restore them.

Veeam Backup for MS 365 provides the features you need.
Our organization has had to recover data for users on occasion. Fortunately is has always been user error at this point. We have never had to restore data due to malicious behavior at this time. The process has always been very easy and flexible on the restore options.

Loving the ease of use and reliability
We've needed specific emails from an end user no longer with the company. Because we had backups, we were able to get questions answered quickly. The ability to run searches on the backups is very handy.

Easy, Reliable, Effective
An important executive accidentally wrote over an important file several times. Unfortunately, the file was overwritten so many times that we were unable to recovery it with the Version History feature of OneDrive for Business. Thankfully, we purchased Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 recently and restored the file instantly and saved hours of work.

Great Product (once it gets setup correctly)!
Mercifully, we've not had to do data recovery yet - been using the product less than six months.
Veeam has allowed IT to recover OneDrive files after deleted or infected. Also, the recovery of email items after users leave the organization is completed faster and more reliably.
We have had about 6-10 incidents in the last couple years where users have misplaced or deleted informaton. I was able to recover within minutes the data they needed. We have been very lucky not to have any attacks but feel confident we are prepared.

Veeam Backup - Our Pick for Office365 Backup
We have restored mailboxes after our retention policy in Office365 expires to perform eDiscovery. Veeam Backup made this process simple and quick and allowed us to find the necessary data.
We've got some good out of it. Users should have some say in how their information is used. It is not accessible to or managed by administrators. When users accidentally see messages or files, or if a virus is released, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 may restore the data to its original state.

One of the best tools to use alongside Microsoft 365
The ability to reinstate accounts has been utilized. Some users may wish to retrieve messages from a certain date in the past. Sometimes, it's necessary for users to restore their whole email account. The two problems are being fixed by updating Veeam Backup. Even if the cloud is where Microsoft Office 365 excels, we can still keep a duplicate of our data close at hand using Veeam Backup. A lot of money may be spared as a result of this.

Veeam for O365 is simple, easy and effective.
We have not yet had a need for wholesale restores of mailboxes, but we have had needs to go in and search for specific data; Veeam has allowed us to meet that need.

A better option for backing up Microsoft 365
When we have lost 62% of the sever and this app has helped us to get through it. We are also calling the Veeam backup and support team when we face any issues, they are very helpful and supportive. Its new cloud computing capabilities are very much appreciated. We also perform replication jobs on the application
This option that allows users to be reactivated has been utilized. It's not uncommon for users to request the restoration of a certain day's worth of email messages. At times, users may choose to reclaim their whole email account. Veeam Backup is helping us fix both problems. With Veeam Backup, we may take a backup of the data and keep it locally, despite Microsoft Office 365's generally bigger approach being cloud-based. This will save you a lot of money.

For the times where we have needed to restore a user's data or even just do an ordinary e-discovery, it has been relatively easy and reliable using the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 solution to make this occur without too many man hours to accomplish. We have been able to recover items with more granularity than many of our users can describe the items they want restored.

Amazing features.
We have reaped some benefits. Users have rights and control over their data. Administrators do not have access to it or manage it. With the help of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, we can put data back to its original shape when users unintentionally read messages or files, or in the event of a virus attack.
