Good product
We usually use the restore to Office 365, restore file's original location, and export as .pst options since those give us more flexibility.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Review
We tend to use restore to 365 or restore to zip. It depends on the situation at the time but all options work very well.
Recovering single files or even attachments is easy with the built in app.
After data misplacement or deletion by accident it enables the user to recover and restore back to appropriate location. I have experienced robust services when I save employee data to wrong place. The process of recovering files and restoring them to their original places is simple and time saving. This feature has helped us to classify data and store information under well categorized folders for faster access.

Export as pst is very helpfull when you need to give someone access to another mailbox.

Veeam 365 works well.
Mailboxes are very easily restored as PST files. We have used this feature and it is very nice.

Just try it
The various recovery possibilities of the items allow the customer to choose the best method to access their data. I happened to recover an email in the original location because the user knew it would be fine, but I also happened to have to create a pst and have to link it to the user's email because he didn't know which elements were to be recovered and needed compare some folders.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 is an excellent solution for Office 365 data backup!
Being able to restore files to other locations is critical and allows you to preview the recovered file while still having access to the current file. We have had to recover an older version of a file to retrieve data from it to update the current version of the file so we didn't lose the data that was missing from the current file but stored in the older version.

Restore has never really been an issue for us, but restoring directly to Office 365 has been our most used configuration.

There are easier backup solutions, which cost FAR less. Look around and be absolutely sure before buying. It's expensive.
During my tenure, we didnt need to restore in any way more than a direct restore to a mailbox. Which worked well.

Veeam for O365 - Reliable and it just works
We have mainly restored individual e-mails back to Exchange online, or created PST's from the console to access older data and have even had to restore an entire mailbox that became corrupted, with no issues.

This has been a great asset. We can restore the mailbox as it is or back it up to PST and archive it in case we need it in the future.

Great software for backing up 365 Data.
We have used the ability to save a single email in the case of needing to get a file that was sent to a employee that was no longer with us.
We export every former users' data when they leave our organization for required archiving. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 makes this process simple and straightforward. The Microsoft process for this regularly took days for large datasets.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is a great solution for backing up cloud to onsite storage
We have tested restoring directly to the Office 365 mailbox, attach and send, and also a PST. All of these work as expected and are all very easy to do.

Veeam 365 Backup - Works well!!
Yes, we have utilised the ability to restore both to the original location, and to an alternate location for review before replacing the original. End users in particular, like to verify restored items to ensure the correct version has been recovered.

An excellent option for small-to-medium tenants
The ability to restore to local storage has been a safety valve for us in case of "cloud regret". We can quickly migrate our users' data and storage back to on-premise servers in a reasonable timeframe vs. relying on Microsoft or other labor intensive methods.

Try Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365. You won't be disappointed.
Yes, when someone could not find a file in their mailbox, we were able to easily find the file with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and restore it to the Veeam systems desktop, and copy/paste and re-send the file to the end user.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 - Overall, a great supplemental product to an existing VB&R customer
The flexibility of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 restore options definitely comes in handy in its moments. Say you want to inspect an object before sharing it with the user, you can simply send the email or attachment to yourself or locally, ensure that it is something you want your user to have, and then be able to share it with them in a safe manner. Restoring to its original destination is also a simple option, and I have not had a single issue or complaint arise from it; I had no issues with any backup integrity, and the backups themselves have been rock solid without issue.

Happy with this product after using for 2 years
We have never needed to restore to an original location, we have used the restore to our on premise server many times.
