Read the Veeam setup requirements well so you don't end up having to change protocol and move your storage around. Use the database backup built into Veeam Backup and Replication to have a copy of your job/backup/storage configuration.

Once we had all servers running the latest recommended build (11 at the time, later upgraded to 12, with the latest patches) we were smooth sailing with minimal to no issues post-deployment. Our monitoring, management, and scaling works really well for our organization. When deploying Veeam, be sure you have your environment right-sized. While it is not a big deal to increase capacity later, it will make a difference if you are trying to run Veeam on instances/VMs that are not appropriately sized on CPU and Memory requirements.

(I assume this question should say "Veeam" and not "Crownpeak Universal Consent Platform")

Planning is key. Planning your backup schedule, size, data restore points, replication if you're doing that, &c. Testing is also important; make sure you back something up and then do a test restore. Set up alerts so you know if things aren't working (or even if they are, always good to know that too).
