Vidyard has truly become an essential part of our organization. It's useful for our day to day communication internally amongst departments and externally with our customers. This platform has allowed us to create knowledge base articles, training portals, webinars and communicate effectively with our customers. We receive raving feedback from customers on how helpful the videos are that they receive. We also like the ability to view metrics, insights, etc. of the videos. Always allows us to pivot accordingly based on the feedback we receive.

  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Since this platform is used across many departments (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) in our organization, the ease of use was the most important factor. The ability to roll out a product across multiple departments is always a challenge, so we desire for the adoption to be easy and seamless. Vidyard has exceeded those expectations.
I wouldn't really change anything. The rollout was efficient and easy for our teams that use the software. I would love to see more of how other customers use the software for their business. It would give us more ideas on how to grow, expand and be creative in how we use it on a daily basis.
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
In hindsight, a phased implementation approach would likely have yielded greater benefits. Our journey was marked by an on-the-fly learning curve, revealing that the implementation process could have been optimally structured across multiple sessions rather than a singular endeavor.By breaking down the implementation into distinct phases, we could have harnessed the opportunity to absorb and integrate lessons learned from each stage.
  • Overload on information at one time
  • Learning key features after implementation
  • Recognizing limited product features we thought were available
On the whole, the implementation process can be deemed successful, although there are areas within our organization where room for improvement exists. In retrospect, I see the potential for enhanced outcomes by implementing a more strategic approach. Moreover, gaining a clearer grasp of the software's limitations from the outset would have been immensely valuable. By recognizing these boundaries early on, we could have tailored our strategies to work more effectively within the software's parameters.
  • Online Training
  • No Training
The training experience proved to be tremendously valuable. Our dedicated representative exhibited an exceptional level of helpfulness and patience as she skillfully addressed all of our inquiries. Notably, she went beyond merely answering questions, providing us with a wealth of resources and sharing best practices that are pivotal for our success in utilizing the software. Her guidance transcended the boundaries of a conventional training session, empowering us with insights that extend far beyond the immediate.
The online training experience proved to be incredibly valuable. Our dedicated representative demonstrated exceptional patience and unwavering support in addressing our queries and requests, which greatly contributed to our learning process. Their guidance was pivotal in helping us navigate the intricacies of the training, ensuring that we absorbed the material effectively.
I had the opportunity to undergo online training, although I must note that the product can indeed be navigated and learned without formal training. However, based on my experience, I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend this approach to others. Instead, I'd advise opting for a certain level of training to ensure a more comprehensive understanding. While the product's intuitiveness allows for self-guided exploration, structured training can provide a deeper dive into its functionalities and features.

find the current state to be adequately balanced. While I do harbor a wish for supplementary features, the product's existing functionality is commendable in accomplishing its intended tasks. Its capacity to effectively fulfill its primary purpose is evident, although I envision the potential for added features that could elevate its capabilities even further. In essence, the product's performance is satisfactory, yet the prospect of enhancements remains tantalizing.
It would be quite advantageous if videos could be stored across multiple folders concurrently. At present, once a video is transferred to a particular folder, it becomes confined solely to that location. However, envisioning a scenario where videos could seamlessly exist in multiple folders simultaneously presents a compelling proposition. This enhanced functionality would afford us greater flexibility in organizing and accessing our content, aligning with the dynamic and interconnected nature of our operations.
No, I think that pretty much sums up my feedback not he configuration piece.
I recently just contacted Vidyard Support for the first time a few days ago. I got a response back within 24 hours.. but I haven't heard back since on my request. Ideally it'll be great to get more frequent responses. Today, I had a chat session with their Support Team on another issue. It wasn't really resolved either.. So hoping for quicker and helpful service in the future.
Presently, our organization hasn't felt the need for premium support, primarily owing to the software's inherent user-friendliness and the swift integration it underwent within our operations. The seamless nature of our adoption journey, coupled with the intuitive design of the software, has minimized the necessity for elevated support levels. However, as we continue to evolve and explore avenues for further optimization, we remain open to the prospect of embracing premium support in the future
No
Regrettably, my interactions with the product's support have yet to transcend into the realm of exceptional assistance. Limited to just two instances of engagement, my concerns have yet to find resolution, casting a shadow on the overall support experience. These encounters have underscored the need for a more comprehensive and effective support mechanism that can swiftly address issues and bring about timely solutions.
The product stands as a testament to user-friendliness and seamless adoptability, ushering in a transformative shift in how we engage with our valued customers. Its intuitive design and straightforward interface have dismantled barriers to entry, allowing us to swiftly embrace its functionalities. It has sparked a revolution in how we connect, engage, and serve our clientele, fostering a more meaningful and impactful relationship.
  • Ability to add the extension to web browser
  • Ability to make edits to videos
  • Ability to record different tabs or screens
  • Ability to customize intro banner
  • Ability to switch between different tabs to record
  • Ability to cut videos or make edits
The product exhibits an exceptional degree of scalability, accommodating diverse usage scenarios across various departments within our organization. This remarkable flexibility has enabled us to harness the software's potential in ways tailored to the unique needs of each team.In particular, the impact on our communication efforts with both potential and existing customers has been truly transformative.
Absolutely, the unpredictable nature of technology always keeps us on our toes. However, I'm pleased to share that my experience with Vidyard has been remarkably consistent and reassuring. To date, I haven't encountered any instances of service outages. This unparalleled reliability and dependability have instilled a high level of confidence in the platform, making it a stalwart companion in our digital endeavors. While the tech landscape can be uncertain, Vidyard's track record of steadfast performance has truly set it apart.
The integration process has been remarkably smooth, devoid of any issues that might hinder our workflows. In fact, our experience with Vidyard as a whole has been notably free from obstacles. While there are certain features we desire and envision for the platform, it's worth noting that its unwavering dependability remains a constant.
  • SalesForce
  • Chrome/Edge
The process was impressively streamlined, characterized by its remarkable ease. A plethora of comprehensive resources were readily accessible, guiding us through each integration step with a meticulous approach. These resources played an instrumental role in ensuring our success by offering clear, step-by-step guidance throughout the integration journey.
  • ChurnZero
I'm not sure but our department is switching CRM systems.. It would be great to see if the platform syncs with ChurnZero.
  • File import/export
To date, we've been thorough in our assessment and implementation, ensuring that no other elements essential to our department's operations have been overlooked. Our meticulous approach has encompassed a comprehensive review, leaving no crucial components unaddressed. This diligence underscores our commitment to maintaining a cohesive and well-rounded operational landscape, where each vital aspect is acknowledged and integrated seamlessly.
The integration process is remarkably straightforward, making the incorporation of this solution into our systems a breeze. The provision of well-crafted resources has proven invaluable in facilitating seamless integration across a multitude of systems. These resources not only simplify the technical aspects but also empower us with the knowledge needed to connect the dots effectively.
The availability of a comprehensive list detailing the systems that integrate seamlessly with the platform would undoubtedly be a valuable asset. This resource would serve as a guiding beacon, providing clarity on the compatibility of various systems with the platform. Armed with this information, we could make well-informed decisions, ensuring that our integration efforts are targeted and efficient. Such a curated list would not only streamline our decision-making process but also minimize the potential for compatibility issues down the line.
While my personal involvement in the vendor's sales process was limited, I've gathered insights from those who did engage with them. It appears that the consensus echoes a sentiment of ease when it comes to implementation. Feedback from colleagues suggests that the process was straightforward and streamlined, aligning with the notion that the vendor's approach promotes simplicity.
Similarly to the earlier query, my direct involvement with them was limited. However, drawing from the feedback I've gathered, it's apparent that the post-sale process unfolded with remarkable smoothness. Reports from those who engaged directly with the vendor underscore a sense of seamlessness in the transition from sales to subsequent stages.
Engaging in this particular aspect of the purchase process was not within the realm of my assigned responsibilities. My role didn't encompass involvement in these specific tasks or decisions at that juncture. However, I'm open to sharing insights on other facets of the purchase process or addressing any queries you might have regarding my expertise and experience.
No, from a holistic perspective, the process seems to have unfolded with remarkable smoothness. This sentiment extends not only to the initial purchase but also to the subsequent task of procuring additional seats or licenses, which has proven to be an effortlessly navigable experience. This consistent ease of interaction, both during the initial purchase and subsequent expansions, is a testament to the user-centric approach adopted by the platform. It reinforces the notion that user convenience is at the forefront of their design and operations, contributing to an overall positive engagement.

Our Marketing department uses Vidyard to host all our videos. This ranges from product demos and overviews, to recorded webinars and company interviews. We also use Vidyard to play looping GIF-like background videos. Vidyard makes it easy to manage all our videos on our website and on landing pages via email campaigns. Before Vidyard we used Youtube and that had too many limitations.
  • Analytics - I like to see how many people have watch a video, where, and for how long. This is great data for future videos and how we use them.
  • Events - Events allow you to add more to your videos such as forms, links, pop outs and more to engage even more with the viewer and for us ultimately get them to contact us to learn more.
  • Sharing/Embedding - After I finish uploading a video and configuring the player Vidyard makes it easy to share the embed code for adding to our website. I like the control of adding variables to the code such as setting the default play quality (1080p).
  • Inline Embed Code - We have a very responsive website and for some reason the embed code that Vidyard provides won't work well with our site. Things are unaligned or don't show up at all. To get around this we have to use the Lightbox embed code, which is fine, but it would be nice if they had a better solution for sites like ours that don't play nice with their code.
  • Filters - There should be an option to set a Filter globally and it's set the next time I log in. Currently I have to reapply a filter every time I log in and to every video in order to get the accurate reporting I need. Mainly excluding my views and my co-workers views.
I think overall Vidyard is a great product and I would recommend them to any small to mid-size business. I would assume larger/enterprise size businesses would require a lot more reporting options. Vidyard is perfect if you are looking at an alternative to hosting all your videos on Youtube and want to cleanly display them all on your website.

  • The only positive so far is we are able to see how many people interact with our videos. This is a big positive for our marketing team. We have not measured video ROI yet.
Overall Vidyard is easy to use and they continue to improve the product.
Vidyard was the first video platform that reached out to our business (or at least got my attention). They sent us personalized videos that have our name embedded in the video. We plan to work with them in the future on the same type of campaigns.

Just myself, the web admin/creative director.
  • We can style the video player with our won branding
  • Video analytics
  • Personalization options and actions
  • Easy to use
  • We were able to use short video clips and play them as looping background GIF-like videos
  • We did a mock-live user conference for our customers
  • More personalization for ABM campaigns
We are very happy with Vidyard. The only reason we might not ever renew would be the price, based on any changes to our marketing budget.
Yes
We were using Youtube before and did not have enough control or ability to brand the player as we wanted. We also did not want Youtube's related videos to display at the end of watching one of our videos.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
We were wowed my the personalization features and overall ease of use.
We would have considered how much time and resources are needed to produce videos that can be personalized and tried to define that as an additional resource we needed from day one.
  • Implemented in-house
No
  • There were some styling issues (CSS) at first but those quickly were addressed and fixed
It's pretty straightforward. The bulk of the work goes on outside of Vidyard - it's the time required to add different videos to your website - that was probably the only difficult part and had nothing to do with Vidyard.
I am not aware of a premium support feature, so my assumption is we did not purchase that, or it's possible it was not available at the time we purchased.
No
Our success managers have always provided us with exceptional support or assisted with handing off any issue to the technical support team. No complaints at all!
We rarely have had issues, more so just trying to figure things out. Each time support hs been great and resolved what we were trying to do.
  • Uploading videos
  • Setting splash screens
  • Viewing player stats
  • Sharing videos
  • Configuring events can be tricky - the timing is a little hard to figure out and the editing the look of the event could use a lot of help.
  • Filters need an option to be globally set and always remain enabled even after log out.
  • Duplicating - When duplicating players it is set to automatically duplicate the video, when there is no need. This option should be off by default. Our account is only up to 50 videos so we don't need any wasted entries when they weren't specifically needed.

Our sales, marketing, and even our support teams are using Vidyard to help with customer questions about how to use the product, create content around how to use the product, and to just send a little personalized message to a prospect or current customer. We're able to keep track of whether or not the person viewed the video and how much of it they watched which is especially useful for our outbound prospecting efforts and figuring out what works and what doesn't.
  • It's easy to use.
  • The integrations with Gmail and SalesLoft are HUGE for me and our team.
  • It helps create a brand around myself and my prospects and customers can see that I am a real person.
  • Being able to edit a video can get confusing at times.
  • The UI on the web app is not very user friendly.
It works best for me towards the end of an email Cadence with SalesLoft. It also works great when we make a quick, cool video before a conference. It gets people to recognize us and even want to meet up with us.
I like to keep a video thumbnail in my email signature to help me stand out as well.
If I could do more with editing videos inside of their web app I'd give it a 10.

  • It's help with getting meetings at conferences and increased my response rates on emails when I use it.
  • Customers love that if they have a question on how to use something I can just send them a quick video showing and explaining exactly how to use it.
It was simple to implement through Google Chrome. Just had to download the extension and we were off making videos and adding them to SalesLoft and Gmail emails. I like how easy it is to make a video by just clicking on the little green alien robot thingy. Can't get much easier.
They're always pretty quick to help us out if we've had any issues. We've had a bunch of feature requests that would seem to be no-brainers to us to add to the product that we've never seen come to fruition so I wish they would take requests a little bit more seriously.
  • CloudApp, Vimeo and Wistia
Vidyard is best for making quick videos to send to prospects while sharing your screen as well as your face. Cloudapp is great for internal use, taking screenshots and making quick GIFs. Vimeo and Wistia look like great tools to house all of the content we make in one central place that anyone can access.

Sales Development reps, Account Executives, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success all use Vidyard.

Our Marketing leader and the person in charge of Sales.
  • Making quick prospecting videos
  • To make training videos for customers and prospects
  • When we are having internal issues to make a video to send to our development team
  • We make fun videos to put on LinkedIn
  • We use it to screenshare our workflows with our product to show potential customers how awesome it is.
  • A place to house our content to create an online channel with all of the awesome stuff we do.
  • TO create a channel that can teach our prospects and customers how to create better content and put out more personalized outreach that resonates with people.
I'm definitely going to continue to use the GoVideo app but would want to look around to see if there are better alternatives to create higher quality content and videos for all to see.

We mostly went with Vidyard because of how easy it is to use and how awesome the team was when we originally made the purchase.
Probably wouldn't do anything differently. This was the best option at the time.

Change management was minimal
There was no real Change Management necessary.
  • No real significant issues. It was very easy to implement.
Implementation was simple. No more than a few minutes were necessary to get up and running.
  • Online training
Not much to it. Very simple setup
If you're just using the GoVideo app you could probably just figure it out yourself in a few minutes.
No
They are always happy to chat about how they use video and where they've been having success. It's always easy to get them to share info.
  • The Chrome extension makes it so easy to make a video whenever you want.
  • The SalesLoft integration is super helpful
  • The Gmail integration makes life easier
  • Editing a video is basically nonexistent. You can only cut the beginning or the end and this is a fairly new feature.
  • It's really difficult to save a video to edit it outside of the Vidyard web app.
No
Really easy to make simple and short videos. Probably the best tool out there for that but if you wanna make some quality content you might wanna look elsewhere. Also wish they had a mobile app.
Almost never have an issue. It's had a couple bugs here and there but it's very reliable.
It's there when I need it 99% of the time.
It's usually quick. Have to update it pretty frequently and some pages take a long time to load.

We primarily use Vidyard for sales and marketing purposes. Our focus with Vidyard is to generate leads so we gate detailed video walkthroughs. In the future, we will be looking into using Vidyard to create personalized videos for sales purposes.
  • Excellent customization. iFrames can be used and the event builder is very strong.
  • Great integration with HubSpot.
  • Strong analytics.
  • The event builder is super customizable which is great, but it can be a little tricky to use at times.
If you are just looking to host and embed videos then there are a ton of competitors in this space that do a great job. If you are looking for a full-scale video solution that is highly customizable then Vidyard is the way to go. It really depends on your needs.
  • Immediately produced a new source of leads for us as we gated a video walkthrough.
Hosting-wise they are very similar but Vidyard allows for way more customization and is just an extremely flexible and full-featured tool. The HubSpot integration is stronger as well.

Our marketing team uses Vidyard and our Customer Success team uses GoVideo.

The platform is pretty straightforward and easy to use so you do not really require special skills. That being said, since there is a lot of flexibility it is nice to have someone with basic HTML/CSS skills on hand to create events and CTAs in Vidyard if you want to get fancy.
  • Creating marketing videos
  • Creating in-depth video assets for sales
  • Sending personalized videos to outbound prospects
  • Sending personalized videos and walkthroughs to customers
  • Something we want to try is to use Vidyard for the different handoffs (implementation to success and success to sales)

Very easy implementation. We quickly were able to upload some of our videos and embed them on our site.
They have great support. Prompt responses and good follow-up. I submitted a ticket about 6 months ago requesting a certain report and when that report became available as a new feature they followed up with me directly to let me know.

Lead generation is the core use, where we gate and track video viewing lengths. This also helps us analyze video performance to see what is working and what isn't in videos.

  • Helps with tracking ROI of video

Content marketing and marketing operations.

Marketing operations employees, but Vidyard is simple enough to not require a heavy technical background to operate.
  • Posting and hosting videos in a track able way.
  • Looking at video performance overtime and by video.
  • Finding the spots where viewers drop off at heavier rates.
  • We were able to see how different sections of videos perform and where big drop-offs actually occurred on industry standard practices, allowing us to apply new and more effective methods in the industry.
  • We are looking at ways to bring in more channels, and potentially assist in selling.
We are beginning to more fully use the system, and bring in features that we have not seen used by competitors.

For us the biggest part was we wanted to be able to both host and analyze videos. Vidyard allows for both of these, and we are able to API into marketo allowing this channel to feed into the lead journey.
We would have taken a better look at our current position, and looked to see if we were able to have the infrastructure in place to bring immediate gain from bringing on the vendor. We jumped the gun, but have been happy with the selection, although the functionality did define our content strategy a bit more than we would have liked.

Change management was minimal
The implementation was so quick and simple that this wasn't needed.
  • The method that Marketo would read the data for tracking/scoring caused some issues. But, there was a release that removed these old issues, and now makes tracking and scoring much easier/transparent.
Now that they have fixed how Marketo can read the Vidyard data I would more likely give this a 10, but when I implemented the system the old issue was a bit annoying.
When I run into issues I can find an answer either by my customer success manager or the support desk. I usually get an answer quickly, and if there are still issues they are willing to help me get to a point where the issue no longer persists.
No
Yes, we ran into an issue where a comment section was added on our video, so I requested help on solving this, while concurrently running through the in-depth knowledge base. I was able to find the answer, but support also messaged me very quickly with the same answer, and then finding out that I had solved it, they took the time to see if they could help me solve any other issues I may have, which I took full advantage of, and they jumped on that issue as well.
