We use Vidyard currently in our sales department. I like using this platform as a way to connect with people that I haven't started working with yet. It works great when I am following up after meeting with someone at a trade show or if I have been talking with someone and I want them to know I am a real person.
  • I have no skills with editing and Vidyard makes it really easy to do a quick and simple recording. If I need to shorten the clip it is very easy to do.
  • This was the first platform of this kind I used so I was a little intimidated with it. I feel like Vidyard did a great job of providing resources for me to read/watch that helped me build my confidence.
  • My default for my website is Google. Vidyard for some reason does not like the Google homepage.
I think this is a great platform to connect with the younger generation. I personally like "seeing" people I work with so I would love if some of my clients would use this service to communicate.
I feel like the less tech-savvy folks are not interested in watching a little video. Heck, most of the time they try to avoid their emails.

We use Vidyard to create quick one-off training videos for support purposes, but primarily it is used to host and construct a knowledge base for client access so that various functions of the software can be explained and viewed on a self help basis. The videos are also used to construct specific training paths for different types of clients with differing needs. Videos are used during the onboarding process within emails to increase client engagement or to provide feature updates to notify clients of any changes the development team puts out.
  • Vidyard is the only service I've found that allows easy tagging so videos can be easily flagged and updated when a feature or part of our software is changed.
  • Vidyard allows for tracking of who has viewed the videos and what parts so videos can be revised if the desired outcome is not achieved.
  • Vidyard allows for playlists, which enables a clear path of training to be established.
  • The Vidyard UI can be difficult to navigate and the concept of a player requires extensive effort to understand.
  • Vidyard allows clipping the beginning and end of videos but does not provide an undo option if a mistake is made. This requires re-recording the video if part of a sentence was mistakenly cut off.
  • Vidyard's video clipping tool is difficult to use and it's hard to tell how much you'll be cutting from the beginning or end of a video which results in repeated adjustments to prevent losing an important part of the video.
Vidyard is great for the customer onboarding process as it allows customers to see who they are interacting with and provides a sense that there's a real person and not just an automated email system on the other end. Customers love the videos and often will request them as the preferred response method once they've been sent one. The screen recording feature allows for more showing and less telling and enables better communication on how to complete different tasks. It's also great for documenting any bugs for the development team so they can view the issue rather than rely on a written account. The overall concept of Vidyard is amazing, but the UI and vocabulary used can make the process of utilizing it to its fullest extent harder than it needs to be. They've recently put out UI updates to help with ease of use and definitely made adding new videos easier.

We use Vidyard to distribute and track views of professionally produced explainer videos. We also use Vidyard to create and share personalized web portal demonstrations and sales outreach introductions. The tracking helps us understand the impact of various marketing campaigns and also helps with sales cadence because we gauge interest and engagement based on the number and length of video views.

We have been using Vidyard this year to support our sales process. We use it to followup on our downloads and in our sales cadence to engage potential customers. Our goal was to get more engagement in our emails by using video so we can start the conversation. The average opens and clicks have been very high.

Our company uses Vidyard across the entire organization, but mostly in our distribution department. It addresses the problem of not being able to meet face to face, especially during these times. It adds as a personalized effect from a sales perspective you can not get through email and phone. My customers really like receiving them from me!

Vidyard is the central repository for 99% of our video content. It is primarily used by our Marketing department to host content such as recorded webinars, commercial videos, recorded demos, and explainer videos. Some of these videos are gated content and some are open to the public. If it's gated, you must fill out a form to watch it. If watched, that information routes back into our CRM that we are integrated with. Every time a contact watches a video, it gets recorded on the contact. Sales will use it primarily for sharing videos. In addition, we also use the free versions of GoVideo. I'm a massive fan of this as I use it for training and more.

  • It would take our reps quite some time to send a video. It was like having to redo a voicemail except on video and could take reps multiple attempts, wasting time.
As mentioned, as a tool for outreach, it was an interesting tool to try. Our main focus was to increase opens and replies. It did increase opens but did not increase replies as much as we had hoped.

We have our sales reps using Vidyard as a way to communicate with current and potential clients. It's a great way to build trust with a new customer because they can see the rep and feel more comfortable speaking with them on the phone. It's especially great because it helped us reduce the number of product samples we needed to send out. With a video, a rep can show customer's previous jobs that we've done or they can compare two products side-by-side. This has saved us not only money but a great deal of time and effort. And it's an immediate way for customers to see a product.

Vidyard is ideal for communicating with customers. It's especially great when you have a potential customer and you want to boost the rapport you have with them. A video message makes the sales rep human (rather than just a voice on the phone), and therefore, more trustworthy. We have a rep who uses it to send a follow-up message after a good call with a potential customer. It helps him recap their conversation, shows his level of enthusiasm, and sets him apart from any other company they may have spoken with.

We use video to provide engaging interactions with our customers and prospects that allow us to be very illustrative at a time that is convenient for us and the recipient. It differentiates us from competitors that focus on just email. In a COVID-19 environment, video creates warmth and connection.

Vidyard is great for sending messages that require more color and illustration, or a more personal touch. The software is easy to use and allows for vibrant communication. Vidyard also makes you stand out with prospects. Vidyard is also great for recurring communication touchpoints. As an example, if I am sending a monthly financial reporting package, I can highlight things I want the customer to know and send it via video. This can be a 10-minute exercise versus a web meeting that invariably goes much longer. Not to mention, they can view it over and over again to digest it.

It has been a critical part of our day to day operations, especially with almost everyone currently working remotely. Anyone that needs access, has access. It has been a stable hosting platform that we have had little to no issues with.

Vidyard is great for hosting videos for any kind of online platform. It's definitely for professionals that need to host a large number of videos and I don't think it would be worth it to only host a few videos. We use Vidyard to increase engagement with our customers. From introduction emails to quick check-ins to full explainer videos, Vidyard makes it easy to "show up" in our customer's inbox in a way they don't usually expect and often appreciate.

Vidyard has been a great tool for Hi5! It is used to communicate with current and potential clients. Hi5 specializes in video marketing and this makes it easier to communicate company updates, our monthly agenda, and contracts.
  • Screen capture and recording: It makes it so much easier to explain a proposal to a potential client that may be too busy to jump on a call.
  • Custom landing pages: Vidyard has the capability to create a custom landing page when your shared video is clicked on, directing your audience to whatever you need!
  • Tracking data: Numbers are always nice! Vidyard tracks visitors to each video and how much time is spent on each video. Can gauge how well you're capturing your audience's attention.
  • Sharing: At times, the sharing button will lock up or fail to share to different social media platforms. I wish there was a way to type your blurb and share videos all at once to different platforms.
Vidyard is great if you're in sales and marketing. An easy communication tool to portray exactly what needs to be shared with your clients.

Vidyard helps us to use video in our marketing efforts. Both on a personal level (one to one communication), but also when reaching out to our thousands of subscribers on our newsletter. It makes it easier to explain complex things, but also to connect with our potential customers through video. I would recommend it to any company that wants to use videos in their marketing to personalize their efforts to sell complex solutions.

Vidyard is being used by all sales reps and account managers to gain new clients and update our current clients on a more intimate and personal level. We love the ability to use animated thumbnails in our emails that we send out to encourage our clients to watch the video as well as the tracking feature. We can know if our clients or potential clients have watched the video and how much of it they actually watched, which helps with accountability.
  • Tracking views: To hold viewers accountable and remind them to watch if they haven't or vice versa.
  • Customization: Being able to add titles to make the client know and feel that we made the video for them specifically.
  • Thumbnails: The ability for them to be animated and not a static image is a game-changer. Movement in the thumbnail entices the viewer to watch it.
  • Sometimes hard to find a video that another team member made or an earlier video that I made. Back-end organization
  • Unlimited storage without having to go in and delete content to free up space.
  • Timer feature at the bottom so you know how long you have been talking or time limit feature with a pop-up notification if you need to wrap it up. Sometimes I can be long-winded.
Vidyard is very well suited for a Sales team to better engage their prospects and tailor messaging to them. Especially now that face-to-face meetings are happening less due to COVID-19. Vidyard's well suited for account managers who need to give a client a quick tutorial of how to do something and need to shoot them an email or text with the link. Eliminates phone calls and time wasted playing phone tag. Vidyard may not be well suited for companies that have patient sensitive information—it could violate HIPPA guidelines if they share patient information without the security measures in place (encrypted messages, etc).

I wanted an easy and more secure way of sharing videos easily. I use Vidyard to onboard and welcome new clients and share how-tos.

  • I do not appreciate that I sold a B2B solution when it was obvious it was not necessary.
  • I think that the folders option in the backend is a bit confusing.

Love the customer service when there is an issue. I love how easy it is to create videos but the backend is a bit confusing. The current package I am on is ridiculous for the size of my company and the type of work I do. It is great to share quick videos to introduce, welcome, and share feedback on something visual.

We really like using the ios app to record videos on the fly and send them to our clients and prospects. Many times recording custom videos is way quicker to execute and improves the customer experince.

  • Price has reached a point where we are considering hiring a internal team to develop an app that has the core features of Vidyard.
Sales scenarios are where Vidyard is best suited. Also anyone in customer service. We use it often to send text videos to customers and prospects. The deliverability of the video that includes the preview in the message chain is incredible and a core feature we like. May not be appropriate for some smaller companies because of the price.

Vidyard is only directly used in our Marketing department. It is our video hosting site and helps the Sales and Marketing teams easily find and send out product videos to prospects via email and landing pages.
  • Hosting video players: Vidyard does a great job of simplifying the hosting process while still allowing a lot of customization.
  • Video management: Vidyard allows for easy collaboration and distribution of hosted videos. Implementing the videos that we have hosting in Vidyard into email campaigns and resource centers is easy and allows for analytics and insights.
  • Integrations: We integrate Vidyard with Marketo and HubSpot and both integrations are smooth and easily trackable.
  • The events aspect of Vidyard could be improved. The event builder is not super intuitive, and in my opinion, not very customizable.
Video hosting and video management are where Vidyard excels. The fact that they offer transcription for all videos is also great, albeit the transcriptions are computer generated so it's best to go through and proofread and edit the transcripts. I think if you're looking to add a lot of CTAs or in-video links, Vidyard may not be as well suited.

It's being used as a sales tool. We use it to move deals from one stage to another, getting closer to the sale. Also, it is used to share information within the team such as announcements. Personally, I like to add a Vidyard video in my marketing campaigns to increase interactions.

It helps me clearly communicate with my clients. Whenever they have questions or want to see what I'm describing to them, I can just shoot a video and send it to them to watch on their time. It's really allowed us to be a more efficient company and provide a better experience for our clients. PLUS, these videos are easy to make and customized for them.
  • Reporting: We walk through the report through video every month for clients to reference on their time instead of scheduling a call.
  • Increase email engagement: With the GIF feature, we can quickly add movement to our emails that easily directs clients to the proper landing page.
  • Track engagement: We can see how many people are watching our videos to keep clients accountable and understand what gets engagement and what doesn't to perfect our communications.
  • Organizing and sharing videos with the team but that has been resolved with the new rollout.
  • Providing more customization for different landing pages. Right now we have ONE landing page per user. However, I send some videos to our clients, others to partners, and some to team members. It'd be great to alter the landing page the video is hosted on depending on the call to actions I want for the audience I'm sending it to.
It has made my job as a communicator more effective and efficient.

We purchased Vidyard for two reasons:
1. We wanted to enable our Sales team to send videos to prospects.
2. We wanted to add CTAs to marketing videos and get comprehensive metrics.

In Marketing, we were previously using YouTube to upload videos and we did not have great visibility into the average amount of time a video was viewed, where people stopped, couldn't add CTAs, etc. In Sales, they were not able to create and send videos to prospects previously.
  • The metrics are very powerful. You can easily analyze how your video has performed.
  • I love the various options to add a CTA.
  • Having the ability to create a landing page for these videos was helpful. It gave us a place to house and share videos.
  • Adding our HubSpot forms to our Vidyard videos was extremely difficult.
  • Onboarding took us months. It was at least 4 months before we could start using the platform.
Vidyard is great if your sales reps want to create and send videos to prospects. From a marketing perspective, it's also a great platform to house all your videos and get access to analytics. If you want to add CTAs to your videos, Vidyard can definitely help with that. However, depending on how complex your form is or what platform you want to integrate Vidyard with, I would look closely into how this is set up to see what's possible. Integrating Vidyard with HubSpot was a big pain point for us.

Vidyard is being used as a sales, marketing, and customer success tool. I've created videos to send to prospects to clarify talking points from discovery calls, used pre-built videos in outbound marketing campaigns (social, email, etc.) and as a resource for current customers when onboarding new users whom may need a hand up-skilling themselves in our platform.
  • Overall ease of use via the Chrome extension
  • High quality of both video and sound
  • Landing pages for each video with white-labeling of our company branding
  • Trackability via Gmail integration
  • Stronger overall track-ability (multiple recipients use-case)
  • Adding branding/watermarks to lower level packages (pro user)
Vidyard is well suited for sales outreach to provide valuable visualizations beyond static images found on decks. It helps separate you from other vendors and is a much more engaging medium for the recipient.

It's also well suited for quick video followup to customers who may have a question that can at times be confusing to convey using text only. Video always seems to cut out any confusion about the perceived reasoning.

It isn't well suited for small teams who need more robust capabilities as the cost becomes prohibitive.

We use it as a way to natively host video on our website. It's used across the organization and it addresses issues concerning client screening. In addition, our video use helps with dealing with clients who we've accepted and they now need to get updated on the next steps of their legal process.

Vidyard is well suited if you want to host your own videos and collect data on who actually looks at your media and for how long. It's not as appropriate when it comes to producing videos, you'll need editing software for that.
