The key aspect in the decision to switch to VWO was the integration of all the features as a single unified resource and platform.

The competitors are very good at what they do (did back then) but required moving insight and understanding from one platform to the other.
With VWO this problem is not only solved but the recent change to VWOs focus on becoming a conversion optimisation platform has increased our capabilities significantly.

We feel the product fits in perfectly with our human centred approach and has not only increased stake holder confidence in our thinking and actions but also helped us to become better at what we do as a team and as individuals in meeting the needs of our users.

VWO is a great self service solution when looking to save budget, we used to use other systems that were fully managed, however we developed an understanding and are able to now run our user testing, and conversion rate optimisation in house. VWO is the perfect tool for this, as it has everything you need available in an easy to use, if somewhat clunky interface that gives you real data, to make actionable decisions.

VWO is more of an entry level tool, unless you purchase the enterprise solution, which includes a lot of additional features including IP targeting, custom attributes and segmentation (which allows you to filter results by a referrer URL, if a visitor clicked on a specific element, etc.). The basic package does not come with device segmentation which creates problems for organizations later on. However, VWO does help test out new features and products and can give you the starting grounds for experimentation!

I've used Google Optimizer and Zoho Pagesense. I chose VWO over Google Optimizer because it had limitations in the number of simultaneous experiments and didn't have form analysis. I chose VWO over Pagesense because it didn't have A/B testing settings that I needed that VWO had.

VWO has greatly improved its product to compete in the marketplace. In cases where Optimizely was the enterprise solution on the market, VWO was 2nd due to functionality. However, VWO overtime has improved its product, so that it can easily be a better product for companies because of its all in one stack. There is no need for a develop to figure out how product A interacts with product B and Optimizely. VWO takes a lot of the guessing work out of the equation, and its nicely priced as well.

VWO is a good middle ground for our clients that want to have a full fledged A/B testing platform at a reasonable price. Some of our clients would like to use a platform that is free of charge (Google Optimize), but we are generally able to steer them away from that and use a platform like VWO to yield better results

We chose VWO over Optimizely for the fu rionaky, design and overall user friendly experience for true digital marketing professionals. The data is presented clearly, the testing environments are easily managed and updates and/or changes to tests are seamlessly carried out. Over all great platform for enterprise and SMBs alike!

The A/B testing with VWO making edits to the website page is a feature I've not seen elsewhere and allows us to test product changes without requiring previous developer time. Unbounce is a lot more intuitive and easy to use but it requires to build pages from scratch rather than importing data. Vero is helpful in that it tracks users and allows to A/B test sending activation emails, but the features are not comparable when it comes to website optimisation. Push notifications is something we're testing next. VWO is a bit clunky compared to the other features in that it tries to do too much and that there's a few glitches in the A/B previews that you have to work around (ie. I've broken forms and sign up pages only realising days later.)

We have used Optimizely and Unbounce. Optimizely is also a good tool to try out but is little costly for startups. VWO has a plan just for A/B test which fits my need and is within budget. Hence, the best option for me was VWO.

As an early BounceX employee, I am subjectively a believer that the BounceX platform is leagues above VWO.

That being said, for small to medium sized companies, VWO is a fantastic investment when coupled with a good optimization team.

VWO is a much better value than Optimizely. Both share a similar feature set, but VWO is much more attractively priced.

Optimizely is best in class, but extremely expensive. We found Omniconvert and Convert to have some benefits, but fell short on interface and reliability. Adobe Target is possibly the most-expensive and the hardest, most-unpleasant to use and setup, so we'd never recommend it. VWO fits in nicely in having a simple interface, all the key features, very reliable, great support, and a very competitive pricing model.

Maxymiser was a bit clunky and the UI was very outdated and heavily required a developer to implement tests. Optimizely was really similar in functionality and had more capabilities than VWO, however it was above our price point. VWO has a nice UI, and similar main capabilities as Optimizely so we decided this was a better tool for our specific needs.

We started out with Google's A/B testing tool about 4 years ago and then used Optimizely after that. Neither were easy to use or provided the level of confidence we get with VWO.
