It is extremely well-suited for hybrid events. The fact that we can put on an event for both in-person and virtual attendees and both can connect, view the schedule, and network in different ways is extremely useful. They also have a great ticketing platform, tons of great promo widgets, reporting and more.

It would be very helpful if they could offer more customization in the interface - ability to change parts of the ticketing page (not as friendly for international events), etc. Also the pricing isn't amazing but especially for using things like badge printing (which is an integrated part of the platform). The fact that I have to work with various outside vendors depending on the event location is very frustrating and expensive.

I would not host a multiple-day, in-person conference without the support of an app like Webex Events. The app kept lines and the check-in/information table to a minimum because everyone had the most up-to-date information on their personal devices. They also strategically set up meetings with you in the run-up to the conference to ensure you are on schedule. The team supporting you is wonderful and does a great job of building your confidence in using the product.

(Updated review 3/24) There are always plusses and minuses to various platforms and nothing is ever going to be a perfect fit for everyone, but Socio (now Webex Events) has continued to provide topnotch customer service and made improvements that have been, for us, valuable additions.

There are still a few items on my wish list but it remains one of the best solutions we use at our org and everyone whom we have recommended it has had a good experience. When I first wrote this review I gave it a 9 out of 10, but since it has only gotten better since then and continues to improve, I had to up my rating to a 10 and will continue to recommend it strongly to anyone looking for an event app solution.

I think best is that companies can send marketing emails to their target audience. I also love the feature - Shake to connect. It's simple and effective to connect within few seconds with someone. I also love the live audience poll. It works so smoothly.

Webex Events is very helpful for organizations like ours to constantly engage the end users. With the help of Webex Events, we can also create Onsite Badges and create onsite checkins which enables us to create a better brand experience. Also, Webex Events is very well suited for Hybrid events, which is the norm these days. I would definitely say Webex Events is best suited for organizing and hosting a professional event. The customer support offered by Webex Events is also very good. There is no automated bot that is present and there is always a human at the other end.

WebEx Events is a great tool for hosting both an event website and an onsite event app. If you are looking to integrate an on onsite and online event, they have this capability, as well. The staff is always very helpful and I am able to get answers to my questions in a timely manner.

I think it would work for:
  • Workshops with many people.
  • Quarterly's meetings with people all around the world.
  • If you want to create a digital training with lots of participants...
I feel like it's not as needed in videocalls that can be fixed with webex teams because of the number of participants or at events that need a more personal approach where you need everyone constantly interacting.

I have been using Webex (formerly Socio) for over a year and a half. Now I'm very familiar with most of its capabilities, but when I started to use the platform or when I find something new, someone from the Webex help desk is always ready and willing to help me. They are easy to communicate with, easy to contact, and give detailed instructional help.

This tool is great for any meeting type. It really does lend itself to be customized for any type of meeting. We have used it for multiple tracks so folks can filter our tracks. We have also used it to host a virtual exhibit hall with video rooms to connect exhibitors to attendees face-to-face.
I really don't see a scenario where this could not be used.

Webex Events are well suited to video meeting events or video conferences, with a large number of users joining from several locations. It allows them to easily connect with whatever device they have and interact and participate as must as they want. It also works very well in terms of management of users and gives lots of options to keep them engaged.

be able to share an online event at the same time as a face-to-face event and contain all festival information in one place. Being able to present student musical performances to parents who cannot travel is a benefit that was greatly appreciated this year. On the management side, having to enter the information in one place for the music directors allowed us to maximize the work time allocated to these information distribution tasks.

Webex Events is a fantastic tool that any size company can take advantage of. It is easy enough to use that a small team can manage an event, but robust enough for larger events and teams who want to take advantage of more features. You can host a highly produced general session with multiple presenters, slides, and video transitions, and small, intimate breakout discussions all in the same app.

Webex Events was perfect for our hybrid Fall/Spring conferences and our Annual Festival of New Musicals. It helped us easily stay connected with our members who needed a cheaper option during the pandemic and allowed them to join us completely online. We loved all the functions and would use it again and again.

It's a great platform for a virtual event as well as an easy way to create a phone app for an in-person or hybrid event. It's especially good if your event is not simply open to the public and you want to restrict access to the content to those who have paid/registered etc.

Honestly, Webex Events is great for any scenario. The only scenario it wouldn't be useful is if it's just an in-person event and not hybrid or virtual. There are so many great features on this event platform. I highly recommend it.

WebEx Events is mainly used for online events. Now it is used for hybrid events. If a company is going to arrange an event, then WebEx Events is one of the good platforms. They also have a lot of options and a good user interface. It have good streaming and good chatting features while in WebEx Events.
