How Webex Meetings Differs From Its Competitors

I did not know that any of these features were a part of Webex. I will see if I can use them, but this seems very user friendly. I do not know if anyone in my organization is using these features

There's no doubt that Cisco Webex Meetings has a lot of built-in useful features (sometimes user blind) that help streamline the every day's meetings like (although haven't used it for quit sometime because of the meeting recording feature) saving meeting chats and background noise detection.

All-in-one Platform

Cisco Meeting Server, an on-prime solution that has Webex similar functionalities although not exactly the same but they have similar features, and also the ability to integrate Cisco Meeting Server calls with Cisco Webex Meetings is very handy.

Security

Ability to lock meetings is very handy although the ability to lock scheduled meetings could be useful in some cases if added.

I have not experienced any of these features. I don't think our package includes any of them, or at least I'm not aware.

Webex meetings meet my needs very well. I open my personal room first thing in the morning and am able to send a quick invite [from] the room, if needed, but for most of the time, I send a personalized invite to my clients and its seamless integration with the Outlook calendar is very helpful.

The tool has come to innovate and improve internal communication and communication with customers. Previously we had a free tool but communication was cut off after a few minutes. Alternatives were evaluated and we requested demonstrations from our closest and most trusted provider to use Webex. The installation is very easy to perform, it does not require much capacity in laptops and it does not consume much resources. Our clients have liked the tool, they can schedule in their calendar and they can choose whether to connect from a laptop, smartphone or tablet. When running the application through a web browser, you only have to install a plugin for the first time and then the other connections are instantaneous. Presentation mode is very effective, remote desktop and provide assistance. Without a doubt, our staff was satisfied with the product, it improves communication with clients and it is a lot of fun.

Webex Meetings is currently used by some team managers when meeting with other employees within my company. It addresses certain issues within the company as an alternative to Skype Business and Adobe Connect. The platform is more user-friendly and presents a positive interaction, in my opinion with other colleagues. To my knowledge, not everyone uses Webex Meetings, only some.

Pros and Cons

Joining is extremely easy when meeting with others.
The layout is peaceful and presents attendees with gentle colors instead of harsh backgrounds.
Allows other users to see who is present and how they have joined a meeting.
Webex is constantly improving the interface regularly.
Honestly, the interface is simplistic in nature, creating a sense of comfortability for anyone using it for business needs. I am very impressed with the continued improvement Webex has offered employees and employers.

Webex could use some help by allowing more information to be seen by Attendees.
Although the colors are pleasant, options for more interactions with the host would be appreciated.
I have had difficulty when trying to attend Webex Meetings using my personal PC behind a VPN. This was a cause for me to be only able to dial in and not see the meeting. I tried all the suggestions given to me on screen and even after downloading necessary plugins, etc., I was still unable to join. I am not sure if this was an issue with my companies remote dongle or Webex itself. It simply would not launch and just sat there spinning.

Team Managers need to meet with small groups, this presents a prime example of when this software is wonderful. I have seen the number of attendees from four (4) to many more, making this software a great alternative to other programs. Where it is less appropriate: I would suggest not going behind a VPN as I mentioned earlier. This software may just not be ready to be integrated.

Webex Meetings is very good for holding large company meetings. It can handle large numbers of attendees and works well over an office or a remote network connection. I've used it both as a corporate solution and as a company solution. It really solved the business problem of having everybody (or everybody from my company and clients) on an online meeting at the same time - with the ability to speak and hear clearly, present materials, and record the meeting. Also, the question submission feature in Webex [Meetings] is great.

Webex Meetings is a great program that allows us to be part of meetings, seminars/webinars, classes and other group events that we otherwise would not be able to attend. Having the option to join via our computers, rather than commuting to one central location is vital. There are several programs available that allow for this type of meeting--but Webex is in the top of that list. The process of starting and joining a meeting is very easy, and self explanatory. A lot of times you are unsure if you are muted, if your camera is on, etc. but Webex makes both of those things very clear.

It may be just on my screen size, but it would be nice to have q/a and chat boxes open at the same time clearly.

Webex works well for medium to large groups that are wanting to meet together for a single purpose when all physically being together is not an option or not convenient. I have been involved in Webex that were 300+ people at once, and it worked seamlessly. I am sure that Webex would also be a good program to use when meeting in small groups as well, but there are likely more affordable, or accessible programs that would work for those instances that would be a better choice if this was the only use you were going to have for Webex. I do like that Webex has the option to hide the attendees--I'm not sure if other programs have this option and it is just not used by the host--but I don't necessarily need everyone to know who all is on the call, or where they are from, etc. I think that can be distracting and detract from the meeting at times.

There is one major feature lack I feel while comparing it with teams. in webex while sharing Power point as application, I can not select presentation windows while using share specific app. reason to do so is to hide presentation notes. This features is available in teams. I am aware this will work If I choose share file and browse that PPT and use ppt notes. But user experience is not so good and handy with it.

allows you to create specifics rules for holding your meeting such as how you let people in, muting and unmuting participants, using white board, sharing presenters, sharing screen or information.

When there are allot of people on a call, it can be hard to have everyone on camera this seems slow the bandwidth down and causes freezing.
I have issues with calls dropping, this could be my internet but I am not losing WiFi just the calls drop.
Smoother transition on updates, often times when WebEx updates there is a time that the system seems to have glitches. When you use WebEx everyday that can be very frustrating.

Likelihood to Recommend

WebEx works just as well if not better than Zoom or teams. I do find that more of my clients use teams so it would be nice to see WebEx integrate with other products, although not feasible I do run into some issues where other companies don't use Webex and there employees can't get into the WebEx meetings. We are a large company and WebEx is a great fit for us, maybe for smaller companies and educational environments zoom is better but I cant really think of any reason where or why WebEx wouldn't be suitable.

With time and as we switched to O365, Teams slowly replaced Webex Meetings for internal short calls however it IS still irreplaceable for bigger audience and external meetings. Pros and Cons

I really enjoy the whiteboard feature so that we can draw out diagrams of what we are talking about.
We are able to communicate without any issues for the most part.
It is not overly difficult to start a meeting.

I think my feedback would be more for WebEx in general. I do not like the fact that I need to name a space. There are certain times that I would just like to talk to 3 people without labeling the space.
I think sometimes it can be difficult to find the features.

I feel like most of the time virtual meetings are a normal occurrence. Some conversations are better in person, but that is a case by case thing.
