How Webex Meetings Differs From Its Competitors

Adoption

Only using for a handful of employee currently. May expand as the need arises.

Ease-of-Use

We are able to hold our company-wide meetings even though we are not physically able to meet due to long travel times. We are using Cisco Webex Teams to deliver Python training to colleagues even though there are still some restrictions and we are spread out over most of our country.

All-in-one Platform

At our offices, we are using the Cisco Video systems and the Cisco Proximity app to easier to use for sharing content during Webex meetings.

Security

Security is one of the most important things, and Cisco Webex Meetings is fulfilling our needs very well.
Interoperability is good, but sometimes hard to find how to set up.

Ease-of-Use

I have found it to be a very easy tool to use but have not used very many of the enhanced features.

All-in-one Platform

We are a Cisco networking shop; routers, switches, DNAC, CMX, ... but to be honest there have been so many name changes for the different collaboration products from Cisco I can't say with certainty what all is being used.

Security

Webex has met the needs of our org I believe at least for me personally. I think the challenge is for example MS Teams. As many org use MS products it is embedded within their environment so if they can easily link it in they have a leg up vs having another product like Webex.

Ease-of-Use

I can personally attest to Webex's user friendliness, I have direct reports that still struggle with other solutions but not with Webex. I believe that is a testament to the forethought in the design and layout of Webex's application features.

There has been no need to work with Cisco support on Webex. It is that simple to use. That being said having worked with Cisco support several times in the past I have no doubts that TAC support would respond with a timely and workable solution. They are great to use.

This is not widely adopted at the moment but the offices that are using it are quite happy. I would expect that we would continue to grow our deployment of WebEx and hopefully add some of the meeting room tools that work well with this system. That is the next area of growth for us.

Ease-of-Use

WebEx is a leader when it comes to this, and I am impressed. Cisco WebEx may not be #1 with user-friendliness but they make up for a with how well the software works once you are in it. Cisco WebEx is clearly an industry leader when it comes to this and other seem to model it.

I love the messaging system this allows. My entire team is on teams for internal communication. It is outstanding and simple to use. This is something that I believe has more room to grow, but this is very strong. This is something I am considering for the entire campus because of the success.

I think WebEx has been a leader when it comes to security. I see Zoom and others picking up on a lot of what they started. WebEx knows who they are and being under the Cisco umbrella give extra confidence that this continues to be developed with security in mind.

We have benefited with the automatic noise suppression which has helped with staff who forget to leave there mics and speakers on. The real time transcription while it is a neat tool we don't see much value in this feature. The personalization is nice to have for each of our users as well.

We have 2 or 3 meetings everyday using Webex and we haven't encountered any major issues. The only thing I would recommend is to optimize the invitations of other people by looking the link or meeting code/ID more esasily.

We use the software to hold meetings within our team as well as other teams members to discuss implementation of software, team meetings and catch-ups as well as staff training.
This has been really helpful since we have office locations world wide and very helpful during coved when people were working from home and only a skeleton staff was kept on site

The Slido integration make meetings a lot more immersive and inclusive. Real-time translations are a must see feature to believe!

Well suited in a true hybrid environment with endpoints in conference rooms, webex app on computers and people using all of the capabilities to work remotely.

From my experience we keep losing in Higher Ed and k-12. We need to ramp that up. The canvas integration is great (other LMS too) but the interface is challenging for kids.

Our users leverage Webex calling for remote and hybrid work, They use Webex meetings for collaboration with our multiple sites and external contacts, and Webex messaging throughout the day to communicate across their teams. As a technician I am tasked with assisting and managing our users and ensuring that their collaboration needs are met and that meetings go smoothly. The focus of this review is Webex Meetings. Webex meetings makes it a breeze for us to host meetings of all sizes. From screen shares, to file shares, to full blow presentations, it is very intuitive to use. Webex Meetings' integration with Zoom, Teams, and other collaboration solutions means that no matter what clients are using, our Users can interact with all of them seamlessly in the platform they are comfortable and used to. Managing Webex Users is also very simple and intuitive in the Webex hub. This doesn't mean it isn't powerful however, and you can be extremely granular with permissions. We also use the screen-sharing and remote control features to remotely assist users when necessary and being able to perform so many functions in the same platform saves us time and stress as our users only need to get familiar with a single technology.

Webex meetings is especially well suited for hybrid work. With users all over the country, the ease at which they are able to collaborate and share content with each other is a game changer. Webex meetings is equally suited to small events of less then ten, and very large presentations with a hundred or more. Webex makes it simple to appoint presenters, panelists, and administrators during these larger events and saves hours in set up.

I manage Webex Control Hub with a team of people. Every day there are thousands of users in our organization. This product is a very robust and reliable solution for Business, providing excellent meeting options. The typical use case would be the daily backend insights into the live events - meetings. The Control Hub enables me to look into individual devices that are in the Webex call and pre-emptively notice and alert the on-site teams if there are any hardware issues with the devices being used (CPU LOAD spiking, Latency, or Audio problems). Typically these are laptops, desktops, iPads, or TP devices.

When Covid made working from home compulsory i looked around for a communications product I could use. I needed a secure, consistent and reliable product that I could use to communicate with my colleagues. I started with Zoom but that got hacked. I then shifted to Webex Meetings. Webex Meetings met all of those criteria.

I really cannot think of anything at present.
Perhaps a selection of elevator music while you wait for meeting to start.

I found it worked well on my Home computer where I purchased a larger screen especially for working from home. It also works on my mobile phone if Im not at my desk. The controls are a bit harder to find perhaps there could be a mobile phone version of Webex Meetings.
