We use Widen as a central place to store, share, and publish our assets. It is also tied in to our customer-facing system to manage and deliver content to thousands of users. The analytics that Widen provides allows us to asses the frequency with which our assets are viewed and downloaded.
  • Metadata is easy to define.
  • It is easy to narrow one's search using the metadata fields.
  • It is easy to upload assets.
  • It would be great if the simple portal options for layout were expanded. It's very limited right now.
Widen is excellent for any company looking to manage their assets in a safe, central space that allows for easy searching and sharing. Sharing assets in a portal to a user group enables us to provide access to specific groups of assets in a controlled environment.

Our company uses Acquia DAM to organize and share our digital assets across our company, provide access to our assets for our sales partners and vendors, and assure brand consistency throughout our portfolio. Before our system was set up, there was a lot of variability across our marketing efforts, and files would be lost or not readily accessible. The DAM has streamlined our efforts and increased collaboration and accessibility.
  • Organizing assets.
  • Making assets easily searchable to quickly find what you need.
• Having a wide variety of sharing options to make assets accessible to a wide audience.
  • Better AI tools for search (tagging).
  • More customization on portal design.
Acquia DAM is well suited for large companies that need to organize and control the flow of assets being used by their teams and vendors. It provides much better control than file storage sites like Dropbox, where there's little control over what goes where and almost non-functional search functionality. If you're a smaller company, you may be able to get by or have someone dedicated to doing so, but for larger companies, it really takes a lot of the manual work out of it!

We use Acquia/Widen to manage all of our digital assets from photography to digital catalogs. We have users from within our own company that extends to distributors/resellers, ad partners, and more. Previous to using Widen we were managing assets on internal servers and it was a nightmare to store and find assets.
  • Organizing assets
  • Ease of uploading and entering metadata
  • Providing analytics for our DAM
  • Customer service could be improved. A dedicated person was appreciated prior to Aquia acquisition. Now you have to go through an automated system online.
  • I wish it were a bit easier for our sales team to navigate or if we could somehow tailor the experience more towards certain departments
Widen has been extremely well suited for our company by providing a means to organize our 30K+ assets. They are well organized and easy to find by our users. I also love how they integrate well with our other partners such as Salsify, Salesforce, and our other partner that managers our wholesale product guide.

Acquia DAM (Widen) has proven highly effective for our diversified non-profit organization. Its greatest strength is a customizable framework that ensures robust security and offers comprehensive asset and user management. This platform is adept at facilitating both efficient distribution and seamless content delivery. Additionally, its analytics component provides key insights into our operational effectiveness. In essence, Acquia DAM stands as an exceptional tool for comprehensive digital asset management, catering uniquely to our multi-faceted needs.
  • User experience and design is elegant and clean
  • Customization of dashboards and portals is easy to create
  • Easily manage users and assets
  • Scales to any amount of assets and administration
  • Taxonomy and metadata structure is easy to build
  • High quality customer service
  • AI image scanning and description baked in
Acquia DAM (Widen) has proven to be a vital tool for our organization, ensuring centralized and secure asset management in spite of any personnel changes over years. It has transitioned us from scattered personal storage strategies to a singular, reliable source - streamlining access, preserving permissions, and guaranteeing unbroken distribution links.

Remarkably, Acquia DAM has expedited our disaster response. This platform allows swift offloading of on-site resources, thus enabling vital fundraising activities to commence quickly as emergency responses are urgent. Concurrently, it supports our national marketing efforts during fundraising seasons, harmonizing our brand messaging. Furthermore, it serves as a consolidated repository for our multimedia ministry library, storing and managing audio, video, graphics, documents, and images. In its totality, Acquia DAM has become an irreplaceable asset in the organization.

Acquia DAM is the global single source of truth for images across the Beam Suntory organization. We heavily utilize portals to curate content for our markets and on a brand level. This allows for us to disseminate the most recent and relevant assets to our stakeholders. Being able to curate content on branded sites helps drive home our Visual Identity as well.

For a company with such a large portfolio of products, it is great to be able to have something like portals to help cut through some of the noise that the DAM system can have. It is a feature we utilize heavily. However, as we are a global company it can get difficult to manage some of the language needs of our foreign markets.

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) in our organization to manage our data and assets where we store them have a centralized place where every user can access the assets they need. Having used the Acquia DAM (Widen) apps it's really helpful to organize the metadata and assets. The problem I see with the portal app is how limited the options are and the option to export into csv files are limited.
  • Having a responsive customer support.
  • The maintenance of the apps are good.
  • Accepting the new ideas from the DAM Users.
  • Having more functions in the portals app.
  • Being able to have a smooth way to export files into .csv.
  • I hope that they can add more options of making the look and feel of the apps better.
The best scenario that I can think of is when a company needs to organize multiple thousands of assets, which needs to be digitalized and organized in a way where more people around the globe will have access. I would recommend that they should use Acquia DAM (Widen)'s array of apps that can make their workflow easier.

We have implemented Acquia DAM (Widen) as our digital asset management system. We started with marketing assets and have expanded into sales and manufacturing files as well. Before, we were using an internal server with an elaborate folder structure. With more than 50,000 assets to keep track of, it clearly was inadequate. The nature of Digital Asset Management is messy - I don't think there is any way around it. Adopting Acquia DAM (Widen) was not a small task, but I think they have some good tools for making it more manageable and in the long run, it is making our business much more efficient and adaptable. Positives Acquia DAM (Widen) has some very nice tools. One tool is called "portals" which allow you to create public websites to access certain groups of assets. This is a great way to share files with people inside and outside of the company in a clean and professional way. There are many other options for sharing as well, which is helpful. Automatic file conversions are great, so multiple file types don't need to be uploaded. There is a robust analytics system to keep track of how assets are being used. Customer service is also very responsive and helpful. Negatives The way Acquia DAM (Widen) is structured took some time to wrap our heads around! Now that I understand it, I think the training could have been done more clearly for our organization. However, with the varying needs of all the different businesses which use Acquia DAM (Widen), it may be hard to have one onboarding solution that fits all of them really well. This said the UI design of Acquia DAM (Widen) could be improved to help users navigate and understand the system. Now that we are fully onboarded and using the system, we have identified some ways we can improve the structure of our DAM. We continue to make adjustments to better adapt the software to our needs. I am optimistic about the recent acquisition of Acquia DAM (Widen). Hopefully, the added resources will help to accelerate improvements to the system. Our overall experience with Acquia DAM (Widen) has been good and we continue to benefit as an organization in many ways.
  • Customer service
  • Personal Training
  • Accepting Feedback
  • Community Building
  • UI Design
  • Add-on Availability
  • Integration with outside software is clunky
Acquia DAM (Widen) has been a very helpful service overall. We have been able to find valuable uses for our DAM all over our company. Tools like Portals make sharing assets outside and inside the company fast, easy, and with a professional presentation. Acquia DAM (Widen) is a great fit for larger companies that have thousands of digital assets that need to be accessed and tracked.

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) as a provider for a digital library in order to create a data base for many kinds of documents used in marketing, product development and as a source to share with our clients.
  • Excellent training
  • Very organized environment
  • useful and customizable platform
  • A more customizable interfase to upload documents showing only the most used items.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is perfect for marketing teams in order to share and keep safe many type of valuable documents.

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) to create portals, share marketing collateral with customers, but also internally to share approved materials.
  • export links of collection
  • thumbnails
  • easy to filter
  • In my opinion, way too complex and hard to figure out some of the ways to create collections
  • portals are great, but not enough flexibility with the colors and tools
  • I think it should be able to create totally separate areas in one business
I think Acquia DAM (Widen) has the potential to be extraordinary, but a few things make it tricky still. Too complex, hard to manage, service team not global and hard to manage

We use it to store and make our images and videos searchable and easy to find for Marketing, Recruitment, HR, and other Support Office teams. It saves us from keeping all images on a server and using MS Explorer or similar to try and search and find the image we want and the duplication of the images onto local machines and locations.
  • Custom-defined Meta Data.
  • AI tagging.
  • Search
  • Central source of truth.
  • The AI tagging is not very intuitive; if you upload 100 assets, you have to wait for ages to see if they have been tagged by constantly checking the field views over and over again. It would be good to have an AI tagging manager where you could submit and check tagging status.
  • For image downloading, it would be good to be able to select an image size rather than an aspect and then adjust the image to the size.
  • We would have jumped at the chance for SSO or Site Core integration, but the costs were so high it just was not worth it; we could have hired people to do it manually for cheaper.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is clearly one of the top DAM providers but lacks movie AI tagging, which would be super useful with the increase in video usage. I would rate it over Sitecore DAM integration, but for the cost, I imagine many businesses in this situation would take the Sitecore DAM option and reduction in functionality. Thankfully we use it for more than just the web. SSO seems to be very expensive considering what it is; for us, it would be great to mark 50 users who can then use SSO to log in just. Our Privacy and Digital protection teams are always pushing this option, but the cost rules it out.

We use it for website content, sharing of files, ease of file access virtually and sharing with clients.
  • File sharing.
  • Organization
  • Securing our content.
  • Editing files once uploaded.
  • Examples of how to label a file.
  • How to build a portal.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is suited for any organization that has a sales team that needs to share and have access to files anytime and anywhere! It is also great for organizations and companies that have numerous files, such as over 1000. It would not be suitable for a smaller organization. It is excellent to use when building websites and inserting file links.

Acquia DAM (Widen) is used as an image database to power our website. We have thousands of mostly third party images and Acquia DAM (Widen) gives us the ability to catalog and tag images for easy access. The support to upgrade to Acquia DAM (Widen) was fantastic; there were detailed project plans and training documentation which helped many of the non-technical users to get up to speed. They also followed up and kept us on track when our progress was lagging due to other company priorities.
  • Project planning and implementation
  • Ability to tag and catalog images
  • Personal support to configure to our unique needs
  • I don't have any recommendations on areas of improvement.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is suited to serve as a repository for content and in particular, for allowing third party users to access some content but not all. For example, we have third party photographs that we have purchased but do not want others to access. This is done simply through tagging the content.

I use Acquia DAM (Widen) to house free downloadable PDFs for our podcast listeners. These PDFs accompany the lessons for each episode on two podcasts. Each week there is a new free resource. I also use the portals to create the libraries that our listeners visit to access the PDFs.
  • Portals are easy to navigate and design
  • Thorough metadata for keeping assets organized
  • Customizable metadata categories
  • I would LOVE the option to add an asset to a portal before the asset is released to the public. In other words, I would like to be able to schedule an assets for a particular date and time and add it to a portal while it's still hidden from public. Then it would appear in the portal when it's set to release.
  • Navigating from assets to portals is a little cumbersome unless you have multiple windows open. Having a navigation menu on the side of the screen would be helpful.
  • Sometimes when I click on the share button to get the shareable link, the box where the link should be is blank. I have to reload the page, sometimes multiple times before the link appears.
In my experience, Acquia DAM (Widen) has been well-suited for my purpose of creating a PDF library with notes for our podcast. We use this as our lead generation initiative and our listeners love these resources. I just wish I had the option to schedule an assets for a particular date and time and add it to a portal while it's still hidden from public. Then it would appear in the portal when it's set to release.

We utilize Acquia DAM (Widen) for various channels of distribution of digital assets for public use and in a timely manner, whether for internal distribution to share and allow users to access assets for their public information sharing, or directly shared to public users and public portals, with useful resources for their goals and sharing the values of our organization as needed, with a unified message. We highly value the flexibility of the platform being that our organization has a very diverse portfolio of social projects and goals, from local to international disaster response efforts, community centers, shelters, youth camps, church ministry and so much more, with a very diverse range of users who are searching for specific assets useful to them. We've been very pleased with Acquia DAM (Widen)'s tool and adaptability to integrate into our file storage strategy.
  • Flexibility for multiple layers of organization
  • Public and internal tools
  • Allow for simple to extremely complex architecture
  • Reliable and fast support
  • AI search and tags
  • Camera metadata for search
  • Quick hover previews
  • Color palette searchability
I've been impressed with Acquia DAM (Widen) for a variety of reasons, the flexibility of the platform to scale and be as complex as needed for any organization, the public and internal levels of access for any variety of user groups needed, integrations and a good API for connecting into existing tech stacks, also the user experience is very great, from uploading assets to downloading and sharing, and customer service is top tier. AI improvements and minor improvements of search engine are needed, though it's announced on their roadmap for 2023. I still rank Acquia DAM (Widen) as the top competitor to fit all our needs.

We use the Acquia DAM (Widen) as a single source of truth for all sectors of our business. All images and metadata are stored in one location that is easily accessible to anyone needing it. This has replaced several servers and third-party cloud services while simplifying asset search and delivery.
  • Ease of upload has made the transition faster than expected.
  • Mete Data import is very easy with the mass upload from spreadsheet or CSV file feature.
  • support is top notch, we can access help in a number of ways from user groups, to in application help to email support for more complicated questions.
  • There needs to be better communication between The DAM and PIM systems. When images are uploaded to the DAM, there should be a trigger that queries the PIM for any meta data. This automation would save companies hundreds of hours a year.
A DAM tool is invaluable for any company that needs to organize assets no matter the end use. There are always employees or clients that need access to your assets and a DAM is the best way to organize, search and share your assets. The longer you keep your assets on servers and hard drives the more time and money you will waste searching and weeding through redundant files.

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) to host all of our global digital content and syndicate to all of our websites through our PIM system. This platform allows easy access to our product content across multiple brands, categories and formats and through the use of portals helps us streamline priority content for new product launches and campaigns.
  • Host significant quantities of digital content
  • Customizes file formats based on application
  • Filters assets to make searching for file easier
  • Editing tools are on the roadmap and would be a huge help for our customers and designers to customize content.
  • Due to file sizes it often takes a while to process the files for download. Not sure anything can be done about that.
  • We have built some custom APIs to connect to our PIM and CMS but building more connectors would be helpful.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is a great platform for medium to large sized organizations hosting a significant amount of digital content that is needed in different formats. Acquia DAM (Widen) is currently connected to our PIM system to feed our product data, imagery, videos and documents to our company site as well as data syndication efforts to trading partners. Acquia DAM (Widen) serves as our first step in the digital shelf where products are not only housed, but routinely updated and monitored for distribution purposes to end users and different marketing endpoints.
  • Product data management
  • Ease of use to add property fields
  • Distribution of digital assets via global collections
  • Ability to better collect data analytics
  • Updating filenames efficiently without breaking existing links
Acquia DAM (Widen) has the flexibility to be used by numerous colleagues in our marketing department because of the import/export abilities. While we internally limit the updating of DAM product data to two people in our team (to ensure consistent data methods and traceability) it is user-friendly to know what fields to populate due to the open freedom to build out your processes.

Our company uses the Acquia DAM (Widen) for both our sales teams and marketing teams. We have several business units and prior to establishing our Acquia DAM (Widen) Collective, we had no standard practices for asset collection, storage, and sharing. We had assets in a variety of shared drives and it made accessing and keeping track of files a nightmare. Acquia DAM (Widen) has become our single source of truth for assets and has made our marketing and sales teams more efficient across all of our business units.
  • Customer Support - they always reply quickly and their implementation specialists go above and beyond. They really provide you with the tools you need to get the most out of your collective. They listen to customer requests and suggestions and are constantly improving the user experience.
  • Customizable - We have multiple business units that have different needs and workflows. We've been able to customize our metadata fields, asset groups, and user roles to accommodate the complexities of our company.
  • Portals - the ability to share assets with a variety of audiences in a platform that we can customize to reflect our brands has been a huge improvement from our dated-looking extranets and Sharepoint sites that we used previously. They are also really easy and quick to create!
  • We'd love to see more collaborative options for the Collections function and more customizable insights.
I think Acquia DAM (Widen) offers a great solution for any company looking to add a Digital Asset Management tool. They provide excellent support and really listen to their customer's requests and concerns. Their customization options are great for addressing the company's individual needs. Being powered by metadata has tremendously improved our searching experience - we no longer have duplicate files saved in multiple locations, with team members constantly wondering if they have the most up-to-date version or team members wasting time digging through folders and shared drives looking for a single asset.

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) for our digital asset management needs. Our DAM contains content that we publish for internal and external use, along with supporting assets. It provides a single source of truth for our assets, version control, and on-the-fly conversions. It also helps to reduce duplicates, miscommunications, improve productivity, and workflow and ensure brand consistency. Since this is the first time our company is using a DAM, we have spent the past year combing through over 40,000 assets, reviewing which are current, duplicates, obsolete or can be archived. We expect to be done with the first phase of our project by end of the year.
  • It provides great implementation support.
  • Love their university of courses - the videos are very helpful.
  • Their tech support is very knowledgeable.
  • Their DAM is easy to navigate.
  • I would like to see more one-on-one support on a regular basis once the implementation phase is over.
  • I would love to see more design options for headers on their portals.
Acquia DAM (Widen)'s digital asset management program is very easy to navigate around. Their library of training courses is very helpful, plus their customer support is very knowledgeable. It's also great to have access to their community of users to see what other questions may come up that I wasn't aware of. They provide additional knowledge about the program that may be useful for our needs. If a company is looking to organize its assets, this is the way to go.
