We evaluated Wildfire before it was folded into Google's larger adtech business, mainly for community management and post scheduling.
  • Content scheduling on FB, TW, and PIN
  • Social media management
  • Basic analytics of post engagmemt
  • Detailed analytics and reporting, integrating with Facebook insights
  • Overlay with Google Analytics data to see connection between engagement and site traffic
When Wildfire existed as a standalone service (before its integration with Google marketing), it was an adequate social media marketing tool which allowed for the management of content across pages and basic analytics, but that functionality became obsolete when other players like Sprout, Falcon, and TweetDeck came into the market and did it better.
  • As with any social media management tool, there is a savings on labor hours (rather than doing the manual work)
  • Aggregating all content into one system creates efficiencies for content teams
Wildfire was a merely an adequate social media tool when it existed as a standalone, but it just couldn't compete against other players like Sprout, Falcon, and Sprinklr.
