  • Send automated emails
  • Notifies colleagues / managers when records have been entered.
  • Sometimes I have to really research how to do something in power automate. It's great, but it would be better if it could be even more user friendly
  • Is there something other than forums to learn how to do certain things in power automate?

  • Workflow
  • Email notifications
  • Task management

  • Connect to multiple data sources

  • Quite a plug and play approach - very fast to build and automate workflows.
  • Configurable workflow
  • Alerts, notifications and real time monitoring
  • Rules based
  • Only 250 actions per workflow is limiting for complex workflows.
  • Forms customization is not possible - need to combine with Power Apps.
  • Difficult to implement very complex business scenarios.
  • Can be sometimes limiting when implementing integrations / data access to other non Microsoft platforms/systems. This needs attention as its a major issue sometimes.
  • Workflows with complex logic are difficult to implement and may require look at additional and more advanced workflow platforms which challenges the investment in Power Automate.

  • Integration with Office 365 suite and third-party applications
  • Easy to use and does not require any coding knowledge
  • Any workflow could be easily integrated
  • Customer support sometimes is slow
  • Couple of third party applications are yet to be fully integrated with the tool
  • Mobile application could be optimized more

  • Outlook automation
  • Scheduled workflow
  • Troubleshooting Flow issues
  • User friendliness!
  • UI is hard to read, each action's box is so large, it's difficult to see more than one item.
  • Premium items are 'hidden' in the templates, but users can't tell if they do or don't have the licenses required. In my experience, more than one has described it as 'bait and switch'

  • Easy to configure and implement the flows.
  • Large catalog of addons and integration components.
  • Ease of working collaboratively.
  • Allows creation of custom flow components.
  • Easy to share and distribute the flows.
  • Documentation about some components, functions, and usage syntax needs to be improved.
  • A tool for creating custom connectors.

  • We can use Microsoft Power Automate to automate the most time-consuming and manual activities using pre-built AI capabilities.
  • Microsoft Power Automate is great for implementing effective workflows ranging from single tasks to large-scale procedures; it will save us time and allow us to operate effectively.
  • Microsoft Power Automate doesn't support starting a second flow as a continuous operation of the main flow.
  • We can't rearrange the steps set for each process with Microsoft Power Automate.

  • Capture/modify data in real time.
  • Notifying the users of any changes in data.
  • Customized response email to customers service request emails.
  • Approval file size limit can be increased. currently 50mb in attachment limit.
  • Ability to recover the flows. Currently if a flow is deleted there is no way to recover it.
  • Converting data from SharePoint into pdf can be done but need to use 3rd party connections.

  • Simple automation
  • Made duplication of similar automations quick and relatively painless
  • Notifications if/when an automation was broken
  • I think general training could be improved. I'm sure there are many more uses than the simple automation tasks I was using Power Automate for, but I didn't have the time or bandwidth to dig through Microsoft's documentation on the tool.

  • Our Finance teams annual audit task for our Accountants.
  • Finances daily and weekly A/P tasks.
  • Finances monthly A/R tasks.
  • It would be nice to have it linked to Teams.
  • It could have the codes in laymen terms for non-IT users.
  • It could have templates for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks.

  • With the ability to transfer robust data between systems on our schedule.
  • Microsoft Power Automate offers a variety of connections and capabilities for Premium customers only for an additional fee.

  • "When an item is changed in a SharePoint list, do ____" - very easy to trigger massive flows of data based upon a one-field change on a SharePoint list.
  • Being able to manually trigger from a Microsoft PowerApp button press to perform actions.
  • Scheduled tasks - once a day, get every record in (LIST) with (Filters) and do (Stuff) to them.
  • The Power Automate tool can often take upwards of 10 minutes to start a "When an item is changed" flow, which is very frustrating when the action is time-sensitive.
  • The Power Automate builder's search is hot garbage - it only searches the names of the already-fetched Flows. so if you are looking for a flow with the word "Resignation" in it, you have to sit there and click "Load More", and wait ~30 seconds per click for it to fetch more data.
  • The documentation is Poor at best, and even the Forums can be rather incorrect.

  • Allows you to create automation and scripts that speed up productivity in the workplace.
  • Shows an overview of the workflow and job history.
  • Has lots of plug-ins with other Microsoft and third party vendors' product's.
  • Would like to see deeper integration with Exchange online, specifically the plugin realizing that an email is being sent via an alias address, not the primary SMTP address. We had to do a workaround that involved creating multiple single-member distribution groups to get power to automate to differentiate different email addresses going to the same mailbox.
  • The interface is slow to load at times.

  • Taking employee information, like demographics and contacts, from an on premises DB to the MS 365 Cloud
  • Taking questionnaire information from a form in the cloud and populating an on premises DB
  • Taking badge photos from an on premises database to a back storage device
  • More customizations for taking human resource related information with a lot of time stamps and transferring it to applicable forms. Whether for on boarding or training documents
  • More ways to trigger events and have them use multiple if thens, or different orders of operations.

  • Some processes can run entirely on the cloud.
  • On-premises applications can be automated with desktop flows.
  • Web and desktop recorders help create the automation.
  • Supports Java forms within the Power Automate Desktop application.
  • Reference connections are hard to maintain, when we have cloud flows within a solution, being migrated across different environments and with different shared accounts.
  • Power Automate Desktop application has some performance issues.
  • It's hard to find detailed information on Microsoft's blogs about what exactly is being changed in each Power Automate Desktop release.
  • FTP actions for cloud flows don't always work as expected.

  • Repetitive task can be automated
  • Filling up forms and managing plans and data flow/ approval processes
  • Integrates well with other commonly used products in office suite
  • For 3rd party products, it can be used by means of mouse movements and keyboard click recording
  • integrations to PowerPoint not as strong as one might see or expect.
  • similarly, integrations to Outlook could also be enhanced.
  • sometimes the "flow developer IDE" is a bit slow and laggy that lowers user experience

  • The Instant bug checking is great
  • The base cost a free makes it a no brainer
  • Visualization of the flow is natural
  • The definition of low code or no code is not necessarily accurate
  • [I feel that] without some knowledge of coding seem out of reach for some.

  • Saves time
  • Make live and instant changes
  • Makes working with SharePoint much easier
  • Create a flow and clone it for easy use
  • Phone app works great for button trigger flows
  • A lot of free pre-made flow templates available
  • Still need to do a lot of research on getting the flows to work once you add more function
  • Naming convention for the answer/result fields (the answers to questions ) gets confusing [in my experience]
  • [I feel it] needd simpler code for non-coders or make it easier to search for required code
