Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

[In my experience,] Microsoft offers little to no support in the initial stages after purchasing Server 2022. Called, told to fill out a support request. Did that. Support called, had to transfer to [the] business department. Business dept. told me to contact another dept. (forgot name). Told them all that has happened [and] I got thrown into a transfer loop. [I feel that they] didn't care a single bit. [In my experience they] kept re-reading [their] script.

It goes without saying that since this is a Microsoft product, that there are good support options across the board. We not only have central IT administration to help with Windows Server issues, but can utilize all the various support channels that Microsoft offers, which includes web, phone, and email, support. Also, Microsoft has always had a good knowledge base system in place, which has good in-depth technical articles to refer to.

Microsoft has poor support when you need something that can't be found online. For most issues, their knowledge base, tech net forum, etc. offer solutions to most problems. However if you have a specific situation that needs tech support, getting a hold of a knowledgeable rep is very difficult.

It has been my experience that unless there is a flaw or bug with Microsoft Windows Server, you will have to pay extra for support beyond the support web site. That said, unofficial support on the thousands of technical websites makes self-help support readily available to any technician with an internet connection. Microsoft's support website is also fairly robust, but I find using a popular search engine often returns knowledgebase articles more quickly that Microsoft's search.

My experience with Windows Server support is only Microsoft documentation, which, while often technically correct, it is sometimes difficult to find the documentation that provides help for a specific situation and to decipher what is being said. Luckily, there are enough people who eat, sleep, and breathe Windows server administration that have excellent blogs and tutorials to be a third-party for support.

Thankfully, I haven't had to use the support much as there's an abundance of knowledge online and freely available, but on the occasions that we have had to contact support their response has been excellent and our issues resolved within a reasonable time.

There is a ton of support materials for Windows Server on the internet. Microsoft Technet has fantastic documentation for pretty much everything you can think of with Windows Server. There are also lots of third-party resources available for support as it is a very commonly used system.
When it comes to getting professional support from Microsoft, that is like rolling the dice. Sometimes the support technician is simply not able to comprehend the issue. However, they are always very professional and polite. After some time, most issues will be resolved, but be prepared to be passed around a bunch of different teams while they try to figure out the issue.

Microsoft's support is hugely wide-ranging from articles online to having to contact them directly for the more serious issues. In recent years when I have contacted them directly, I have found the support o be excellent as I have found myself connected to very knowledgeable people in the field in which I needed the support. The online support available is vast and I tend to find most of the time that there is always someone out there who has had the same issue as me in the past and knows something about how to resolve it! This is the advantage of using industry standard and long-established systems such as Windows Server.

The majority of commercially available business applications today are supported on Windows Server. It is also the easiest to support and has the most training available for administrators. This keeps overhead low and ROI as effective as possible.

Because I haven't used Windows Support personally so can only pass along what I've heard. I haven't heard anything bad, but nothing tremendously good either.
