Track video viewership with Wistia
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Wistia to track the number of times that our videos are viewed, and to what degree people watch our videos. We can see the percentages in terms of what amount of our videos have been viewed, where they were rewatched, when they were watched, but we can not see who specifically, in terms of first and last name, watched our videos. Still we can get a good idea of which videos are in demand more vs less.
Pros
- Track video viewership
- Customize presentation in terms of thumbnails and on-screen messages
- On-screen element interaction statistics
- Clean dashboard
Cons
- There is a limit on the number of videos you can upload
- It would be great to see the first name and last name of the people who watch our videos
- 10 specific examples of how to use the rewatch and skipped over data would be greatly appreciated
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want to track specific videos' engagement and see if they resonate with your viewers, Wistia is a good option. However, you can not treat it like Youtube in the sense that you upload every video you have, because of their video limit. Regarding the rewatch and skip over statistics, it would be very good to how to adjust our videos and business strategy based on those metrics, instead of just saying to yourself, well, they are good to know.
