Small technology companies, seasonal farmer's markets, and Digital Media programs have commonly chosen Wix as their go-to solution. The platform is valued for its low cost and user-friendly interface, making it an ideal choice for creating personal work portfolios, showcasing writing clips, and attracting job opportunities.

Businesses looking to streamline their sales processes also use Wix for managing sales funnels, pushing out Shoutouts, and managing lead forms. Moreover, Wix supports partner websites by providing valuable information about the company in multiple languages. Nonprofits find Wix particularly valuable in creating functional and professional websites with minimal web development knowledge. It is also widely utilized by individuals with small budgets and simple website needs.

Another key use case of Wix is helping small businesses and churches build and maintain easy-to-manage websites. Organizations and businesses utilize the platform to create websites that build brand value, engage with their audience, and communicate news and updates effectively. Administrators also leverage Wix to continuously change, grow, and publish their websites as they transition to new roles. Businesses have successfully transferred critical aspects of their operations such as payment processing, email management, domain name hosting, and website building to the platform.

I have used Wix for several websites so far. The main reason would be to create an internet presence and to increase the professionalism with which our NGO is being perceived
  • Prefabricated websites that can be adjusted by its users
  • Website templates which are visually attractive
  • In my opinion, with the removal of the ADI web-building tool in favor of editor, user-friendliness has suffered tremendously.
  • In my opinion, the removal of the ADI web-building tool in favor of editor makes that a big portion of a website has to be redesigned, as items are now linked to each other in a different way than before.
  • In my opinion, the removal of the ADI web-building tool in favor of editor makes Wix only usable for professional website builders and no longer for the general public.
The fact of Wix moving away from their ADI web-building tool in favour of Editor, in my opinion, makes a huge mess of everything. I feel a lot of the ease and automation of designing my website has gone to such an extent that I now "recommend" Wix only for professional developers. Worse is that I have to redesign a big part of my website as items are now linked to each other in a different way than used to be the case. In my opinion, A big ZERO for Wix, who clearly should do their homework again.

I have used Wix for my business and making it the preferred website builder for my clients. It is great for designing one page landing pages that don't take up to much time in the early stages of business. The robust templates makes it easy to design a custom and clean website that looks professional while giving you a online presence that doesn't break the bank!
  • Ease of use
  • Provides a robust library of templates and design elements
  • Great customer service and technical support
  • Moving a custom domain can be more of a seamless process
  • The ability to customize for novice can be improved
  • Customizing the look and feel on the mobile interface
I recently used Wix for a client that has little to no background on website design and she was able to go in and make changes with no instruction. Also, the history feature that allows you to publish your site based on a previous update is great for A/B testing and mistakes.

Wix gave me the easiest solution for building a website. The layout and designs were simple and effective. It helped increase my credibility by being able to exist as an artist on more than just social media. It also gave fans another way to feel connected to my brand and shop for merch.
  • Easy design tools for any one person.
  • Tasteful design choices and layouts.
  • Easy to edit
  • The price became too high so I left.
  • Tutorials for implementing music.
  • Less layouts to choose from
I like Wix. I like how simple and convenient the layout is for designing a website. It’s useful for selling a product online, or any creative who needs an outlet to market themselves. It’s useful for creating appointments and having an easy way for people to contact your business when they’re in need. For the price increase it wasn’t appropriate for someone like me who isn’t incredibly active on their website. I just use it to list creative news, projects, and the option to buy music from the site.

I use it to build two of our company's websites - two different domains. I'm the only one who builds the sites. It allows a start-up like ourselves the ability to quickly build and update a website without having to use web designers, etc. I also have the flexibility to integrate with tools like Hubspot.
  • Default components
  • Wizard to put together initial site
  • Royalty free images
  • Not enough templates
  • Severe limited designer mode
  • Some rights only available to owner

Wix was the one stop solution for building our company website. The site was created here and is hosted on Wix servers. They walked us through setting up our email addresses on [our] domain. Updating our site is a breeze - the Wix tools are very easy to use and intuitive too.
  • Website setup and creation
  • Editing
  • Adding content
  • Dashboard page can be a little 'busy'
  • Analytics can be confusing
Wix is well suited to a beginner who wants to put up a nice website but doesn't want to spend the time and money to pay someone else for the task. It is easy to adjust pages, add photos and add content.

Wix is being used for my nonprofit organization to manage our website. It allows us to have an attractive, up-to-date website that can be contributed to by a variety of individuals from across our organization. It allows us to communicate with our audience in a consistent and repeatable manner.
  • Easy drag and drop.
  • User permissions.
  • Easy to make fast updates.
  • Form collection could be better for collecting emails.
  • Be able to have multiple owners of a given site (can only have one right now).
  • Sometimes the mobile responsiveness looks a bit off.
Wix is very helpful particularly for less developed companies and organizations who do not want a super overstructured CRM to manage their website. It easy to use and not hard to make a site that looks good in not much time. It is good for novices and moderately experienced website builders alike.

Wix was a website platform that I had recommended to a friend who wanted to create her own website for her business as she could not afford to pay someone else to do it for her. After using Wix a few years before her, I knew it was a tool she could use to get a basic website up and running to start promoting her services. Fast forward 2 years, I now manage and update her Wix website and use several features to optimise her website and its performance.
  • Easy to create and duplicate website, and web pages for similar products, services and campaigns, so you do not have to start from scratch
  • Find features such as video, image and button, and templates to customise your website's feel and look. For example, recently, I was able to add a countdown timer for the sale of tickets to our online conference.
  • Creating website Anchors - making it easy for you to take a visitor to a particular part of a page so that they do not need to scroll through the entire webpage making it more user-friendly.
  • The SEO part of Wix makes it easy for you to set up meta data, create fully functional social media shares that are on brand and looks professional in the Google search engine..
  • Mobile response - finding the mobile view of the website is non-responsive, and that's very frustrating as we know most of our customers are finding us that way.
  • The speed of loading the pages is not good and can come across as slow, especially via mobile. With users being less patient, this could reduce website visitors and them exploring our webpages.
Wix is well suited for start-ups wanting to create a website to promote their products and services but can not afford to pay for an expert to create it for them. It also offers a free plan for those with little to zero budget or business domain.
I have and will continue to recommend the Wix website for those types of customers that I encourage to start with their business idea and test to see its viability by getting set up online.

Wix is being used a tool to help our primary content creators improve their skills for blog writing and blog design. As a small company that has traditionally reached clients and candidates through referrals, word-of-mouth and in-person events, our website and blog are certainly important but we have yet to see a need to tap outside resources for enhancing the design or populating the content. Thus, one person has been managing essentially every component, from developing content to promoting that content to tracking a variety of metrics. Wix was the platform they wanted to work off because of its user-friendliness, its sleek style, and the formatting and visual options it offers users. We have accounts with other website editors and content generators, but Wix is what was found to be most agreeable.
  • User-Friendliness: Wix is a lot easier to navigate than other web-building sites. Oftentimes it's like Wix does the thinking for you instead of just throwing endless options at you and complicating the process.
  • Unique Content: Many services for generating websites, images, videos, etc. are starting to look the same and, for that matter, they're starting to look stale. What Wix offers feels fresher and cleaner.
  • Reliability & Respectfulness: We have yet to incur any issues that have affected our web properties or routine to this point. Furthermore, Wix does not constantly throw new offers or new pricing or new requirements at us. They value you where you are.
  • Data Size: Sometimes -- not always -- Wix eats up a lot of the computer's capacity when active and it can cause slower speeds and even shut-downs if you're not careful.
If we grow to be a larger enterprise, I'm not sure I could see us continuing as we have with Wix. I'd compare this with GoToMeeting and their hierarchy of program options that grow with the size of your company. If Wix has something like that, I've missed it.

Wix is used by our entire company. It is the platform that we use to communicate with our customers, our shop is on the Wix platform, and the branding is done using their tools. We have been recommending it to multiple other business partners and / or sister companies, and everyone had been satisfied with it.
  • E-mail integration
  • Shop set-up and e-commerce
  • Design Flexibility
  • Newsletter plans
  • Pricing is high for a start-up.
  • It is not very intuitive in one particular aspect - that is the design of the customer log-in accounts for the forum; difficult to customize the design. But that is only one feature that is a bit dodgy. Called support, I have always been walked through the process very carefully and patiently.
Wix is well suited for a company that is looking to build a brand, and is looking forward to develop. It is intuitive to use, very friendly (except that one feature that I have already mentioned).
I would not use Wix for low key personal blogs or portfolios or hobby low-key websites. It's not that it wouldn't perform well, it's just that it's an over-kill price wise and complexity wise for something that is not bringing a revenue or does not need to promote a brand. If you want to take your Ferrari to Walmart for shopping, there's nothing wrong with that, but a Subaru will do. Take your Ferrari for a hot drive. (Dang, I like Ferraris...)

As a computer consultant I use Wix to design websites for my clients. With all of it's templates, plugins, and robust features it's a great starting point for any website. Great integrations with many of todays top website add ons for ecommerce among other things. It's faqs, tutorials and straight forward features make it easy for anyone to get a site up in running in no time.
  • Great extensive selection of templates to choose from for any type of website
  • Very easy to build a site from scratch no matter how simple or complicated it needs to be
  • Great selection of add ons from ecommerce tools, shopping carts and google analytics
  • Could be a little overwhelming for someone without somewhat of a technical background
  • The user interface, at times, can be a little to cluttered depending on what you're editing
If you're looking for a one stop shop for creating a website from scratch with little to no experience and a small budget look no further than Wix. Within a few hours you can have a professional looking website up and running. It also helps you purchase and register domains if you don't already have them set up for you site. Whether you're just looking for a website to provide information or create a fully scalable ecommerce shopping experience Wix does it all. With so many features and sometimes can get a little overwhelming for an inexperience user.

I use Wix as a training tool for the call center I work for. They can use it as a resource also to reference different aspects of how a call should go. Also, it has all of our call scripts and information that customers may inquire about. There are buttons for each question a customer may have, with the proper response for our agent to use.
  • Wix makes it simple to set up a basic website in a matter of hours.
  • They have a lot of options in the free version.
  • It is super simple to create a website that is easy to use.
  • There are some extra features that are not available in the free version.
  • The user interface can use some improvement when it comes to the overall layout.
  • They could also add to the tutorial library to help new developers further.
Wix is best suited for people new to creating websites. There are a plethora of resources available to help someone with limited knowledge create a respectable website. There are also a ton of free features to let someone who is new develop a website. However, if you are looking to build a more professional website with a lot of features, it may not be the best solution for you. Overall, it is a great solution for those looking to build a basic website.

Wix has given me the ability to continuously change, grow, and publish my website using an extremely user-friendly platform.
  • Wix provides an extremely user-friendly platform that makes it easy for someone with no experience to create a professional image for their business(es).
  • Wix is affordable.
  • Wix provides easy third party access to other appropriate services like claiming domains and Gsuite business email accounts.
  • Wix offers the ability to schedule bookings, receive payments, and even link your email messages through your customized website.
  • Wix can improve on the speed of their provided websites.
  • Wix can improve on the speed performance for users creating their websites on their platform.
  • I would like to see Wix keep me locked into the rate that I started with two years ago instead of incrementally raising the price, or at least advise upfront that over a period of time, the pricing can be expected to increase.
Wix is well suited for business owners who are in the j-curve of the start-up phase who do not yet have the capital to pay for a third party marketing company to create a premium website. The platform is extremely user-friendly, even for people with no experience creating websites and allows the website to grow and change alongside the business.

Wix is a great resource for web page creation. It automates everything, and for all non-code users that want to create a web page, Wix is an awesome site to do it. Wix has been involved in several processes as a reference but it has been a great resource to follow.
  • UI is very handy and adaptable.
  • Price is relative for the service.
  • Not too many industry templates.
  • E-commerce platforms require a lot of permissions.
I would recommend Wix 100%, due to the fact that the marketing strategy that it gives to the customer makes you want to register for such a great site. It also has a great user experience, without putting difficulties on the site creation process. Wix really knows what the user wants.

It is used across our business and our consulting business. With the addition of the new database integration, it is allowing more pages to be generated dynamically. A big help. That is allowing for an easier update of information without adjusting pages. The forms are superior for collecting user information and being able to easily customize.
  • Database integration - works really well and saves time for updating and making changes to data.
  • Forms - the ability to customize and collect the data easily is a time saver.
  • Could make the page setup for the dynamic pages a little simpler.
  • The repeater strips are good, but some are a little tricky to edit.
Perfect for advanced editing and but easy enough to recommend to beginners. The editing menu is very easy to navigate from page editing to adding elements to previewing and publishing. The process is smooth. The platform is easy to navigate and very technologically sound. The added video options is a big plus for those who are just getting into video.

Currently my website was created on Wix and I have also created websites for my clients through Wix as well. It has been great on both fronts because it makes it easy for me. I have one dashboard to manage all the websites I've created and I get alerts for traffic to my website but I can also assign alerts to other emails so my clients get their own alerts.
  • Lot of tools available and integrated right in for marketing, messaging, etc. that you may need besides a website.
  • Just a few steps to get everything all set up once you've created your website. Very easy.
  • Not the greatest in terms of SEO with Google.
  • Lacks in-depth customization.
If you are looking to create a straight forward website for your (or a clients') business, this is a great platform to use. It is easy to set up once you understand how the platform works and is much easier for the average person to understand rather than using WordPress. However, if your website includes a little more to it (have an order history look up page for example), you may want to look into another platform such as WordPress. Wix doesn't have all the flexibility that a more in-depth platform does, but not everyone needs that.

I use Wix, both personally and professionally. I manage my own website and my boss' site. Personally, it functions as an additional marketing tool alongside my Instagram and is an excellent source of income as well as with Wix's business tools and paywalls. Professionally, it extends my brand potential as a web developer and graphic designer.
  • Layouts and Designs
  • Ease of Mobile Design
  • Speed
  • Easier to manage color schemes
I always recommend Wix over Squarespace though I always realize it's a personal preference thing, so I don't try to be too bias about my recommendation. I have experience with both but currently use Wix, and my boss does as well, so I have more familiarity with them. As such, I can highly recommend them as I know everything works, it's easy to use, the plans and pricing are competitive, and it's an excellent platform for business.

We started with Wix as a solution to not having a website. Our company was purchased by an investment firm, and we were in the process of being carved out from our parent organization. We had a major product launch coming up at the end of 2018 and needed to have a website in place for it; after researching, Wix seemed like the best and easiest option for getting a page up. It turned out to be so easy that I recreated our whole web presence using Wix (our former parent organization had completed a web redesign earlier that eschewed much of the information our customers need to make purchasing decisions; this was our chance to rebuild that information). Today, we have a more robust web solution in place, but Wix remains our top option for landing pages and "quick need" pages which do not necessitate an entire development process.
  • Easy to build pages and sites that look professional, even with little web design experience.
  • The graphical user interface lets you see in real-time how your site will look.
  • Easy to add applications with further enhance your site.
  • Good value for the price, especially if you can find a coupon code as we did.
  • Easy to add and manage users.
  • Easy to get people trained up on how to build a page.
  • We registered our domain from Wix, and are unable to easily set up a page-level redirect in order to funnel traffic to our new web presence.
  • While useful, the GUI can be a bandwidth hog - you need a robust internet connection for the best experience.
  • Very easy to hit a ceiling on what you can do to make the page look good; would be great to have more robust onboarding for enterprise-level businesses.
Wix is well suited for small to medium-sized companies who need a web presence, but do not have HTML or coding experience or the resources to bring on a full-time developer who can do those things. It is less appropriate for companies who have web developers or larger companies who may wish for a more complex site with advanced functionality.

When I switched from WordPress, I spent several months working with both Wix and Squarespace. I ultimately decided to go with Squarespace, as I found that although Wix has more customization options, it was more difficult for our clients to use. Clients liked the "do anything" interface but quickly messed up their sites, which was a hassle for everyone.
  • Good, simple on-boarding process.
  • Lots of visual customization options.
  • Many different themes to choose from.
  • It's too easy to mess up the design of your site...you can literally drag and drop elements anywhere, which looks awful!
  • The interface is messy and overwhelming for inexperienced clients.
  • The branding is inconsistent. Wix looks modern and polished in some areas and old and clunky in others.
Wix is great for businesses who have a tech-savvy designer or for business owners who want max control—they want to "play" at being the designer. It's not a good solution for businesses who don't have an internal or freelance designer. The templates are easy to ruin visually in a very short amount of time, so it's all around not a great option for anyone who needs that "high quality" vibe.

In 2017 we moved our organization's website from a Wordpress site to Wix and we haven't looked back. Representing our company on the web is important and Wix has become our one-stop shop for website design. It's ease of use and multiple design templates have made training our department heads a breeze. We now have a web presence, with responsive pages and mobile compatibility, all of which we did not possess before our move to Wix.
  • Easy to setup
  • Help documentation is easy to access and detailed
  • Customization
  • See what your website will look like on a computer / tablet / mobile device
  • The blogging feature could be improved. I would like to see additional blogging layouts available.
Whatever your skill level with website design, Wix will work for you. From small to large business, e-commerce to personal use, Wix is a platform that is easy to set up and design in minimal time, depending on your needs. There are templates for almost everything and if the template doesn't completely fit your needs, you can tweak it to do so. On the downside, if you are in a highly creative field like photography, I have seen templates that better cater to that field on other platforms so make sure you do your due diligence before you commit to one platform or another.

We use Wix when it comes to having students create websites, teacher blogs/doc logs, students digital portfolios, etc. It is often part of a choice that teachers share with their students when they have an assignment/creative task and are looking for a program to design a website. I have found that teachers across all subjects and departments and across our district have utilized Wix in one way or another. Website design in general, or having students create sites in which they share their information with a wider audience is a great skill that they need to practice and Wix helps with this.
  • Easy drag and drop features let users create an engaging website with ease.
  • Professional layouts and designs take the guesswork out of the creation and allow more time to be spent on the content.
  • The ability to add features/integrations like a store, feedback or comment options, and more interactive tools can go a long way in personalizing the site.
  • Even though drag and drop makes things easier, at times there is difficulty getting things to fit where and how you want. Maybe have a way for the item be influenced by other features around it to make it fit better?
  • The templates are great for students to get started, but more options and maybe some more modern designs (ex WordPress/Squarespace) would be nice.
  • A better data and analytics feature. WordPress nails this and I wish other website programs would do something similar.
Wix is perfect when being used with students who need to create an online project, website, portfolio, or use this as part of a bigger project around a social media campaign. I have found that when given the choice of using various website programs, students often flock to Wix or Weebly. The drag and drop builder/editor is something they appreciate or feel more comfortable with, especially for those students who aren't as tech savvy or website design literate. However, those students who are more advanced or are looking for something more will probably do well with a program like WordPress or Squarespace.

Wix is currently being used for our online store for our farmer's market. We are only open seasonally because we are an on-farm Market, so we only open when we have crops being harvested. We also offer a wide variety of non-perishable food items. We get people wanting to purchase items when we are closed, which is why we started using Wix to help us sell when we are closed.
  • Wix does a great job helping us sell our products online without over complicating it. Setting up an online store isn't always an easy thing to do, and can be very frustrating.
  • Very easy to use, set up and maintain. Great for beginners.
  • Pricing is very reasonable. Great for small businesses.
  • We would love to see more integration and more features offered. While it is very easy to use and has lots of feature, we'd like to see more.
  • Better tracking and analytics. It is nice to see how what you are doing is working through tracking and reports. What they offer is very limited.
Wix is great for small businesses or personal websites who don't need anything too complicated and aren't too experienced in setting up a website. No complicated coding required. Just enough features and options for a quality website. If you want something complicated with lots of features and coding, then this is not the platform for you. Great prices and different package levels available.

I used Wix to build my first website, so the problem it solved was getting me my first, rudimentary online presence. Their marketing messages are correct: even a technology and design novice can use Wix to build a passable, even attractive, website. If you're not excited about embarking down a big learning curve to get a website up and running, and you need something that's relatively simple, Wix may be a fine choice for you.
  • It gets you a website up fast. If you need a website and you need it now, its templates will do the trick, and some of the templates are nice and reflect current design trends.
  • It offers rudimentary plug-ins such as contact forms, calendar widgets, newsletter signups, and the like. Because it's all made in-house (or at least approved), you don't have to worry about something not working properly or crashing your site.
  • They can take care of the technical stuff for you, including registering and hosting your domain. Wix can truly be a one-stop shop for your website.
  • The feature set is extremely limited. There's just so much you can't do with Wix. You're stuck with only the tools they give you, so if your company grows and you need something more robust, you'll need to start from scratch with something else.
  • While some of the templates are modern, the majority look severely outdated and will hurt your brand more than help it.
  • While they have a "pixel perfect" drag and drop editor, allowing you to move elements with extreme precision, the trade-off is that sometimes the elements don't display properly on mobile, no matter how much you tweak them.
I would only recommend Wix to someone in the following circumstances.
1. On a tight budget and can't afford a more robust solution
2. Extreme technophobe and terrified of the prospect of registering domains, obtaining hosting, etc.
3. Wants a website up FAST without wanting to deal with the complexities of WordPress
4. Has a very small business (maybe a solo business) and is comfortable with a website that's more of a static brochure than interactive and modern.
Unless all of those are true, I'd suggest something else. However, if 1-4 apply to you, you can feel confident with Wix.

Wix was used to create a website and I should say that it was quite easy to create. The time it took to create the website was very minimal and the collaboration on Wix was near perfect, Wix made the work easy by providing the templates to choose from and ADI was very neat in preparing the first draft. We did not have trouble creating the website even though we did not have any experience in website development.
  • Wix provides templates according to your business. Most of the times these are enough to create the first draft.
  • The editor is very good and easy to use.
  • The collaboration works like a charm wherein every stakeholder can make the changes themselves with any dependencies.
  • Sometimes it becomes tricky to shift from editor to ADI.
  • There are certain functionalities in the editor which can become quite hard to use and understand.
  • There is a room for a lot of improvement in terms of mobile responsiveness, most of the times the websites look messy.
I would recommend Wix to small and medium enterprises any day because of its functionalities and ease of use. However, things will get tricky if you are trying to create a complex website. Wix is easy to use and anyone using this can get a website up and running in no time. Wix has been a real lifesaver for us since we are being quoted too high for a website or the necessary designs were not available.

Wix is being used by me to promote my freelancing art/design business. It displays my personal projects as well as client projects I’ve completed. It solves the problem of providing an accessible platform for potential clients to look at the design services I have to offer.
  • Image hosting: seriously love that if you upload a reasonably sized image, it loads in a snap
  • Ease of design: I can design a website from the ground up pretty quickly just with a few clicks
  • Great templates: if you’re not very design-oriented, there are great defaults to get you started with to help develop ideas of your own.
  • No coding necessary: you don’t need to code to create a great looking site.
  • I think if I had to see something different, it would be increased control of certain aspects of the templates
  • Ability to add your own font file would be nice, as having to conform to a small library of fonts doesn’t help when I need uniformity for my brand
  • Better mobile support for certain design functions: some designs I pick just don’t look that great on mobile such as a carousel design to flip through images. It looks clunky.
  • The ability to change the design formats on mobile separately from desktop to ensure a nice flowing site would be immensely helpful
Wix is perfect for your small or freelancing business to display your product. It has the ability for multiple pages, image, and video hosting, as well as linking to other pages from images, to name a few. I wouldn’t recommend it for totally unique websites as there isn’t complete control over the design aspect, so any advanced designs you’re better off getting someone to code it for you from the ground up.

Wix is the core of my production business as well as the websites I create for other businesses. It's used on a daily basis to create and design websites. I also use Wix for my blog.
  • It's easy to use and learn
  • There are a lot of great functions
  • Great customer support
  • Affordable
  • Lots of design maneuverability
  • Some of the features do not work consistently or they are not able to be seen at all times.
  • There are frequent bugs.
  • SEO optimization can be improved.
  • They removed some features that I cannot get back.
  • Form builder applications and plug ins can be slow to set up and slow to load.
  • Cannot customize certain features.
  • Handling the footer section can provide issues.
  • Event application / plug in has basic features but mostly not useful.
  • Paid plug ins don't work well or fast enough.
  • Paypal buttons take a long time to load.
  • Repeater boxes don't work well.
  • It doesn't allow you to copy and paste a section from one website design to another website design, which is an important function for saving time when managing multiple business websites.
Great for building a website for any kind of business.
