Tons of customization, but far too easy to mess up.

When I switched from WordPress, I spent several months working with both Wix and Squarespace. I ultimately decided to go with Squarespace, as I found that although Wix has more customization options, it was more difficult for our clients to use. Clients liked the "do anything" interface but quickly messed up their sites, which was a hassle for everyone.
- Good, simple on-boarding process.
- Lots of visual customization options.
- Many different themes to choose from.
Cons
- It's too easy to mess up the design of your site...you can literally drag and drop elements anywhere, which looks awful!
- The interface is messy and overwhelming for inexperienced clients.
- The branding is inconsistent. Wix looks modern and polished in some areas and old and clunky in others.
