  • We were able to get online without spending thousands on a web designer or ecommerce developer. Most themes are free if you know where to look and WooCommerce did not cost us anything to implement.
  • We did invest in a great theme designed specifically to function with WooCommerce. This is a must if you want to stand out from the rest of the users using this plugin. There are many professional themes and we think they are a great ROI considering the ability to customize further than the default themes.

  • It has definitely increased our donations by making it easier for people to navigate.
  • It has confused some people with its setup.
  • It's made it easier for us to keep track of donations.

  • I currently have not had a lot of ROI from using WooCommerce
  • While it is easy to set up, it doesn't handle things like marketing, emails, or promotion to build up sales
  • It can easily integrate with most email marketing, making follow-up emails easy to set up.

  • The basic platform of WooCommerce is free and WooCommerce gives new updates without any premium subscriptions. That is a positive reason to use WooCommerce.
  • In order to have a stable store, WooCommerce needs to have secured hosting, which is costly.
  • WooCommerce Analytics is very descriptive for understanding business growth.

  • WooCommerce has made it easy for me to provide e-commerce websites for my clients, making my work easy and quick, and making my clients happy with the easy administration.
  • Whether using 1 or 2 products to 20,000 products, WooCommerce has scaled very easily to adjust for different sized e-commerce websites making ideal for most projects.
  • WooCommerce makes it very easy for customers to make purchases, which makes my clients happy.

  • There is really nothing negative worth mentioning in this section, WooCommerce offers a free product which you can test and even use without having to buy all the extra features.
  • Personally, I think WooCommerce should come out with more free features since there is a ton of 3rd party apps that can replace their paid upgrades.
  • Expensive upgrade prices without a great offer.

  • We improved our Conversion Rate by 200% by switching. This is not only because we switched: it's because of the amount of changes and personalization we were able to make for our particular industry.
  • We improved our landing pages and it's much easier to maintain (via Visual Composer and Slider Revolution) compared to our previous Magento.
  • We have been able to make changes MUCH faster. In a day or two we revamped our product listing page, we added banners across the whole site, we changed our checkout... you get the point.

  • It's hard to gauge the ROI at this time. It's a matter of increased productivity, and we don't have a good metric for productivity without it. I will say it's fairly inexpensive, and while there are areas for improvement, we wouldn't be able to conduct business without WooCommerce or something similar.

  • For us, WooCommerce is just one of the options we can offer our clients wanting a complete, low cost e-commerce solution. This has helped to elevate us from just a quick website developer, to one that provides robust, long term solutions.
  • Occasionally, a client will find that WooCommerce is just too complicated for them, and steer toward a Shopify type solution. We have lost a long term client in the last year in this way.
  • However, most of our clients appreciate the fact that they can host and sell their own tickets and products on their website, and this has resulted in a net gain.

  • For a minimal investment my clients were able to either refresh their existing (and antiquated) website or launch a new e-commerce initiative quickly and with style.
  • Certainly clients who had never been involved in e-comerce are now have a steady revenue stream that was previously untapped.
  • Clients migrating from aging platforms like ZenCart now experience vastly simplified site management, product creation and the wealth of display customizability either via WordPress themes or knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Some times the hodgepodge of plugins really hurts margins because of the conflicts.
  • For small stores its quick to set up and start selling.
  • Lack of multi origin shipping modules and conditional shipping methods based on location.

  • There is a learning curve for new users and those "new" to ecommerce, so users should expect to invest a decent chunk of time in getting to know the platform.
  • Ample data and analytics tools allow my team to monitor the results of marketing efforts, and adjust our tactics accordingly to increase ROI.
  • WooCommerce is fairly priced - our team certainly feels the investment is worth the returns.
