What is WordPress?

Wordpress is an open-source publishing platform popular with bloggers and a content management system. The appearance of a Wordpress site and many of its functions are managed through themes, and further customizable through altering code, though altering code is not required; templates and plugins to expand its capabilities are plentiful. Wordpress features integrated link management, and a search-engine friendly permalink structure. WordPress now allows multiple blogs to exist within one installation. Websites may host their own blogging communities, controlling and moderating content from a single dashboard.

Wordpress is popular due to its simplicity and modifiability. Furthermore implementing Wordpress costs only time. Two paid versions exist. The $99 premium plan allows a user an ad free custom domain with 13GB of space and advanced customization. The $299 Business plan allows unlimited space and supports eCommerce as well.

WordPress websites is well suited for sites like: - Blogs, Content Publishing, Small to Medium Business, Informational Websites, Non-profits, Informational and Non-profits webistes. Conversely, there are scenarios where WordPress might be less appropriate - Highly Customized Web Applications, Large-scale Enterprise Solutions, and Specialized E-commerce Platforms with over 2000 products listed.

WordPress is tough to beat if you are looking for a highly customizable, low-cost CMS with all the functionality that you could ever need all in one, please. There's a reason why it is the standard for custom CMS across the web and continues to remain dominant in terms of usage despite the proliferation of competitors currently in the market such as Wix, GoDaddy website builder, etc.

WordPress is very well suited for a Marketing or Web Team that has skill at creating content and coding using HTML and JavaScript. It gives you back what you put into it.
It's not as appropriate for teams with low technical skill or where there is not a dedicated HTML/Web developer. But there is enough documentation and support information out there that with dedicated effort, non-technical Users can learn to use it well.

WordPress is really doing great in terms of e-commerce in Ghana, I use WordPress for all my e-commerce platforms which have been a perfect match for me any day any time. I have always recommended WordPress when it comes to e-commerce as it allows flexibility in products management, import and export of products.

The only thing I want to say WordPress is the best affordable option to design a website quickly. Before having WordPress it was very difficult to manage posts and orders but this CRM helps a lot with using WooCommerce. WordPress makes possible our work.

In my opinion, if a zero was an option I would choose 0 out of 10, but there's no 0 to select. I would strongly recommend people to stay away from WordPress. Because, in my experience, they have shown that those who have paid for the business plan in full for a year in advance that it is NOT a guarantee that they will keep your business plan as they will change it to the "free plan", which I believe will mess up your site horribly!

WordPress is well suited for small companies like mine where a few people are tasked with [different functions] outside their job description. It allows you to build a web presence quickly and without too much effort. In addition, if you do know how to code, WordPress offers [customization so you] can tweak it to your exact specifications. WordPress has something for everyone. For a large enterprise, I would go to a different platform.

If your business relies heavily on content creation, and particularly on blog posts, then WordPress is really the best option you have. But if you don't have a blog, you only need static pages, or you want to build an eCommerce site, then you might want to explore other alternatives.

A person with basic knowledge can install WordPress easily from the channel but to the actual results, you need the expert. The creating and setup with 3rd party APIs is the time taken and some time WordPress stuck. But overall you have the best tool in the market for website management.

WordPress is a great solution for any sized business looking to launch a website for their company. I have used WordPress to build a website for a large company with thousands of clients, as well as a small podcast with just a few listeners. It really is the Swiss Army Knife of website builders and can work for most business or personal scenarios.

If you're building a website from scratch, WordPress is the way to go. It's relatively straightforward, easy to use, and looks professional. Take your time planning and researching to ensure that you use only the plug-ins and extras you need. This is because using too many plug-ins can slow [down] the site, so for a more advanced website with lots of different features and complex codes you might look elsewhere.

WordPress is the best platform to use for hosting your corporate blog or your website. It's easy to populate the various sections in WordPress and then see it get pushed live directly onto your website. You can always go in and edit any section you see fit. Super easy to use!

Because it's opensource, WordPress has an almost infinite array of options, styles, tools and ways to customize your website. It's pretty easy for a novice to quickly customize preset themes to the look and function they want. It's also a great platform for the experts and designers to get creative with.

If you want to make a good and future-expandable website simply and quickly without involving programmers, then of course pay attention to WordPress. If it's just a landing page, then you can choose another online website builder.
When choosing WordPress, be prepared for the fact that a lot of things are implemented in plugins here, but you have to pay for all the good things. And therefore, the cost of ownership can be quite high over time.

If you need a basic and single-page website, surely WordPress is the best and ideal option. If you are a beginner at making websites, WordPress is the first platform you should start with. You don't have to know how to code if you are using WordPress, that's why almost the best option.

WordPress is ideal for website management, especially if the person overseeing the website has minimal experience with WordPress. This is because the program is fairly easy to learn. You can quickly learn how to add posts and new pages, or simply duplicate existing content to serve as a starting point for new content. It's easy to preview content before it goes live and you can even schedule content to go live on a certain day/time.

It's great for people who want to create a website and don't know html or coding. It's also fairly inexpensive. I would like to see more plugins and widgets work across various themes. Some themes only have certain ones available, and others don't have the widgets that I want but the theme is what I want. It would be great to have the ability to choose a theme and use ALL widgets and plugins.

WordPress is super customizable which makes it perfect for any type or style of website. Although, this is also an invitation to get lost in the small details of your site. Building a site in WordPress is also fast - If you can stay focused on the most important aspects of your site, you'll have it up and running in no time.

I love WordPress and it has been a go-to solution for multiple projects and businesses that I have been a part of. WordPress is a great option for startups, small, and medium-sized businesses. You can customize so much through the platform and create beautiful websites with little to no coding knowledge. There are so many people that work in WordPress so the community around troubleshooting and coming up with ideas is huge. It is an open-source platform so it does not limit your ability as you scale.

[WordPress is well suited when] making a business website, personal website, or maybe even if you were transferring over from another inferior CMS. I also recommend growing businesses that want to have more visibility online and more control over the hosting and speed of their site.

WordPress is basically a great option for any type of website ranging from the beginner blogger to a mid size/large company. The plethora of options when it comes to themes and plugins ensure that there is lots of functionality and something for everyone. It's great for ecommerce as well.

Where it's less appropriate is for a multinational corporation where a more advanced and/or secure network is needed - so banking websites or where an intranet is needed, etc.

WordPress is a great option for businesses who need a custom website, but need to start from a template, because they can't afford to start completely from scratch. It also makes sense for web developers who are just starting out and don't know enough code to start from scratch either.
