The user interface is modern and quick to use, similar to Google and Amazon. The system works at a faster pace, allowing you to get more work done. There is a robust community of users that provide support, answers, and reporting templates (to name a few) when you have questions or need help.

I would like Workday the most if we had a greater level of functionality. Would like the company to broaden the package so it benefits the recruiters rather than another administrative tool. Onboarding of Workday needs to be better, we have had terrible experiences with the trainers provided to us in the past.

The system we currently use and implement is Oracle Cloud HCM and it is possibly the most well-suited competitor to Workday HCM. Oracle Fusion HCM is not as mature a product as Workday but it's slowly getting there. Also, it might be a better solution for you if you are not too big as an organisation.

Workday is much more intuitive than PeopleSoft. It also touches everyone in the company, where PeopleSoft is more behind the scenes. The reporting module is much more in depth. In addition, the customization is what you make of it in Workday, while Peoplesoft is more of a prepackaged product. Workday is the wave of the future, and where software is going - it is all cloud-based, has a great mobile app. It is easy to use, and auditors love it!

I came to CMU after they had selected Workday. I think the biggest reason why Workday was selected, was because the business could invest in one system to bring their Payroll, HR, and Benefits activities together, where those had been 3 separate systems in the past.

My client organization gave Workday the highest ratings for usability and suitability for its business needs. Other solutions didn't have the global foot print required or opted out of bidding on the project for a variety of reasons.

There is nothing comparable to Workday that provides integrated HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Grants Management, Time Tracking, Faculty Appointments, Financial Accounting, Endowment/Gift Accounting, Expense Reporting, Asset Management, Capital Project Management and flexible reporting in the cloud. There are plenty of HR and Financials solutions but very few that combine all of the functions we need for the enterprise without heavy customization.

Workday is much more powerful and easier to configure with less support from IT than either ADP or SAP. We demoed ADP and used SAP for several years, and we are finding that the functionality is much more accessible to our users which promotes greater data accuracy and effectiveness in reporting as well.

We liked that all customers are on the same version of the product and the minimum bi-annual updates. The customization is in the business processes you build within the delivered system. No "Bolt Ons". The visibility to managers to their teams was another big plus and we like the way the security is role based.

We wanted to move to a cloud environment to avoid the costs and responsibility related to infrastructure management. We also liked the complexity of the upgrade cycle was virtually eliminated Workday. It was our view that the Workday user interface was better than Fusion and Lawson and we would be able to manage the configuration with our own resources.

I have been in this business for over 20 years and I am familiar with all HCM solutions. Workday stacks up on top because of its superior user interface. It is easy to use and end users are familiar with the navigation. It is also very easy to configure. Configuring a business process is simple and with some training, you will not need to have technical staff or consultants to make those changes.

Workday was the system we could find that would give the autonomy (from IT) we need it and to allow us to use employee self service and manage self service and allow our managers, directors, executives (approvers) to be able to monitor, review and approve many processes form any office in the world. We hadn't been successful at changing from our paper and ink approvals to electronic approval in the past and the Workday implementation gave us that from the very 1st day.

We also selected workday because of it was a system built from the ground up using the latest technologies and we would like to leverage in the near future some of its global capabilities, like Payroll for the UK and China.

We used Oracle HR and ADP payroll in the past and we were very dependent on IT resources. We are now using WD for HCM and payroll in the US and we still use ADP for payroll in the UK and we are writing connectors for ADP UK payroll currently and we hope to use the UKL payroll module next year.

Being that they were created by the same person, I would've hoped to see better functionality out of Workday. However, Workday continues to roll out new versions on a regular basis that hopefully it will get more and more user friendly over time.

Workday was the clear solution for us. The interface is easier to use, and provides more information about a business process to the involved parties. We are looking for as much information as possible to be accessible and this is the best way for us to get it across all the involved processes that touch HR.

My previous company used Sage because it was significantly smaller than the company I work at now. Workday was implemented before I got here. We have stayed with Workday because it is a rapidly growing product and is being used more and more by many high profile companies. Workday continually updates their functionality and look, and their learning center is always offering courses for continued training.

Workday blows Oracle PeopleSoft out of the water. Workday's User interface is so much easier to use, and much more intuitive. I have very much enjoyed using Workday vs. their old counterpart from Dave Duffield. I am still perplexed as to why people implement PeopleSoft, instead of Workday.

Workday is more user friendly than any other HRIS I have seen by leap and bounds. The ability to configure it so it is easily understandable and usable by the end user makes it so much better than any other system I have ever used. Workday makes it so easy to connect with their community of customers that I rarely need to go directly to Workday Support to solve a problem. With all other providers I have used, I was restricted only to their help desk, which is time consuming and unproductive. The flexibility of its workflow makes accommodating nearly any request from management possible.

We used PeopleSoft prior to Workday and it was not delivering all the components we needed. We also interviewed ADP Vantage but it was still so new at the time that there were no referrals or reviews that we could rely on that had weight.
