Offerpop has proven to be a versatile and valuable tool for various organizations and businesses. Users have found success in building Facebook campaigns, growing their follower base, and hosting special contests, particularly for Asheville's tourism bureau. This platform stands out for its ability to easily accommodate complex campaigns, such as social media contests, model search entries, social media signups, mobile signups, and video voting. Many users have selected Offerpop due to its competitive pricing and comprehensive features compared to other products on the market.

The set-up process of Offerpop is fast and user-friendly, allowing organizations to create fan-gated pages and entry forms that align with their branding goals. A notable benefit of using Offerpop is the significant increase in Facebook fans that can be achieved through just one contest, tripling the number of followers for some users. Despite Facebook no longer requiring third-party apps for contests, the outstanding customer service and cheating prevention tools provided by Offerpop remain highly valued by users.

Furthermore, Offerpop has been widely used to run social media contests primarily on Facebook while also displaying user-generated content on websites. By aggregating user-generated content onto a single page, users can easily click on photos and be directed to product detail pages for seamless purchasing experiences. Organizations have employed Offerpop for promotions, contests, giveaways, and integration with Facebook applications. It has become an indispensable tool for engaging with current customers, attracting prospective customers, rewarding loyal brand followers, and crowd-sourcing customer feedback. Both large and small organizations have embraced Offerpop as a great low-cost social media solution within their digital marketing departments due to its simplicity and customizable features.

Referral campaigns module: Some users have found the referral campaigns module to be a strong driver in building fans, providing a way to host contests and incentivizing fans to refer friends. Fangating feature: The Fangating feature has been praised for keeping the strategy alive by requiring people to like the page before accessing premium content and contests. Photo Contests feature: Users appreciate the Photo Contests feature as it eliminates the need to build a landing page on their website or use Facebook timeline for hosting photo contests. It also allows them to easily collect photos from fans and download them into a file, while reserving rights for future posts or commercial works.

Limited customization options: Some users have expressed disappointment with the limited customization options offered by Offerpop. They feel that the platform does not provide enough flexibility to create unique and personalized campaigns, which can be a drawback for those looking for more creative control.

Lack of reporting options: Users in charge of social media analytics and measuring campaigns have pointed out that Offerpop lacks comprehensive reporting options. Specifically, they would like to see more detailed information such as the total number of entries, unique entries, bounce rate, and specific question responses in lead forms. The absence of these reporting features makes it difficult for users to gather valuable insights from their campaigns.

Platform limitations: Offerpop can only be used through Facebook and Twitter, which some users find limiting. This restriction prevents them from reaching a wider audience on other platforms and may hinder their ability to maximize the impact of their promotional efforts.

Users commonly suggest that the software has impressive features and is continuously evolving. They recommend using it for setting up social contests and quickly obtaining customer feedback. Users also advise identifying valuable fields in the database and collecting them upfront through a form. However, they caution against integrating the software with Facebook tabs. If there is a marketing budget and a need for ongoing growth and user engagement, users suggest considering this software. Additionally, they recommend improving communication about feature rollouts and their impact on the campaign platform.

  • The cost for Offerpop was what drew me in. I got a lot of bang for my buck.
  • Contests were easy to set up.
  • Linking to products from user generated content was a plus.
  • We found that engagement on contests went down when using Offerpop vs. running contests natively on Facebook. Our users didn't like the extra step of going to an Offerpop page to enter the contest.
  • I think UGC is more useful when it can be placed on product detail pages. The page of UGC was linked to from the footer of our website, yet we saw hardly any traffic to this page.

  • Offerpop is user friendly and allows us to quickly develop campaigns
  • Provides excellent templates to help with campaign development
  • Allows us to easily manage and export entries and capture votes
  • My role is mostly involved with social media analytics; measuring campaigns. Offerpop could improve in how they track views. I would like to see the number of views and unique views captured each day versus just the total number of views since the start of the campaign.
  • For our Facebook sign up campaigns, I would like to see more reporting on the information captured in the form fields. For example: the total number of entries, unique entries, bounce rate (how many people viewed the form but didn't complete/submit it).
  • In addition, I would like to see reporting on how some of our questions within the lead form were answered. The number of entrants who selected various options from our drop down lists.

  • The account service is above and beyond. They are quick to respond, resourceful and strategic in their recommendations.
  • We appreciate the ability to work with the Offerpop team to create more custom solutions for our larger campaigns + initiatives.
  • Mobile-optimized versions of apps are standard for most apps. We've found a considerable amount of our entrants come from mobile devices, so this is important to us.
  • Occasionally things cannot be customized to the level that we are hoping for. But I think this is natural given the restrictions of a service like this. I appreciate that they are constantly adapting to the digital landscape and looking for ways to revamp their services.

  • Referral campaigns - This module was a strong driver in building fans. It not only provides a way to host contests, but it goes one step further providing incentive for fans to refer friends to your page.
  • Fangating: What once was a great tactic to get the "like" became an outdated practice once Facebook revealed timeline. Offerpop keeps the strategy alive by requiring people to like your page before accessing the premium content and contests of their modules.
  • Photo Contests: Building a landing page on your website to host a photo contest takes too much work, and using the Facebook timeline is flat out a bad idea. Offerpop takes all the hard work out of collecting photos from fans. Best of all, you can download them all into a file. We stipulated that by sharing photographs, we reserved the rights to use the photos in future posts or commercial works. What a perfect way to build your image library!
  • Customer Service: My account rep (Max) was the best. His service after the sale was second to none and I knew I could always rely on him to help me out. He answered every question (and I asked a lot of questions) within 24 hours. This continued over the course of a year until he was promoted.
  • The biggest difference between Offerpop and their competitors (outside of price) is that Offerpop is a lot less flashy. Wildfire had a huge library of beautiful templates that could be used to help design your promotion whereas Offerpop is more basic. However, they do offer a white label option. If you have a great coder on staff, you can easily build your campaign to spec, meaning you'll remain more on brand than with a template. If you don't have a coder, then templates matter a lot more.

  • Creating campaigns is fast and the software is user friendly
  • Monitoring entries and weeding out cheater saves time and helps protect people who entered contest fairly.
  • Customer service is excellent. I've called a few times and each time the rep was helpful and friendly.
  • The entry forms can become a little overwhelming especially if you add your review to the page at the bottom. It would be nice if users could click on a "rules" link and then have those details scroll down.
