I use Xactly Incent to view my incentive compensation data, including commissions that are upcoming or current, as well as ongoing residual commissions and historical commission payouts. Xactly Incent works great to eliminate the need to review commissions manually or engage with our internal incentive comp teams to ask questions. I'd say this certainly helps save time and increases transparency around earned commissions and incentive payout data.

Xactly Incent is the best tool I've used for reviewing current and historic incentive compensation data. The dashboards and UI are attractive and easy to navigate, and it's fully integrated with Salesforce. Awesome platform, great functions, and makes it a breeze to navigate my commissions.

Xactly is used to manage the Compensation administration process starting with rep accesses to final reporting via the Incentive Statement. Managing commissions for more than 500 employees on Excel is not viable and Xactly provided the right solution. Xactly at our organization provides transparency on their incentive calculations and Quota achievements.

I'm using Xactly Incent to calculate the credits and commissions for the sales reps+the bonuses. Also for calculation of the orders purchased based on different scenarios when it is required by the sales reps. We are using the tool also for reporting purposes when we want to see some sales trends.

It is very easy to match the payments done quarterly with the remaining balance and sales reps are understanding very easily what is their due commission needs to be paid. The hardest part is when we're reprocessing all Year to Date data, it takes a very long time and during that time we are not using the tool nor the sales reps.

Xactly Incent is our Compensation tool where we have all the necessary data for all sales representatives, considering that we have a complex compensation plan. We test it before each new fiscal year in order to make sure that the new policy is accommodated well and then during the year, we help the sales representatives to understand the numbers, providing them also the manual calculation. When we find flows, we correct them with the help of the Admin, Support or Consultant.

We use xactly to administer the bonuses and commissions for the sales organization within our company.
The business problem I find the most annoying is the fact that we have to manually refresh the data and recalculate.
The refresh cannot be performed at any time because we might affect another team that uses the tool in parallel.

We use Xactly Incent on a daily basis because it helps with the commission calculation process for sales reps. It's great that you can customize the calculation rules and the generated results are usually correct and accurate. Also, it is pretty user friendly and I personally can say that it didn't take much to get used to this tool after coming from another Comp tool.

Overall, I would say that Xactly Incent is a good tool for calculating commissions for sales reps, but it can be improved for sure - for example, it would be 10 times better if the changes (adjustments, split changes etc) would have a history view - if a sales rep is removed from a deal, it would be easier to see the 100% (old view) and then -100%(adj/change) which brings the rep to 0.

We use Xactly Incent for our monthly commission statements, for tracking our actuals vs. plan, and looking at quarterly and annual performance. It helps me know exactly which deals I'm getting compensate on, with details of payments down to the line item. As a channel sales professional, I'm involved in a large number of deals, and the Incent platform is a major value-add for tracking the sheer volume of deals.
  • It shows me high-level summaries, and low-level details for each software sale to a customer, and the individual line items within a deal that I'm paid on.
  • It shows quarterly and annual attainment vs. my goals.
  • It allows me to export all the data for a particular report, which is very helpful for doing further analysis with Microsoft Excel.
  • It helps me archive data and reports for updating my LinkedIn profile each year.
  • It may be an issue with how my current company implements Xactly Incent, but I would like to see more frequent updates than monthly.
  • If I could run what-if scenarios to project out future months/quarters, this could be helpful for my full-year planning.
Since most companies rely on spreadsheets, and just "trust us" mentalities from sales operations teams, this platform tells me, down to the penny and with high confidence, what my next commission payment will be. It avoids so many questions, saving myself, my manager, and our sales ops team countless hours!

Used to calculate commissions for sales population. We avoid Excel usage and have Xactly also for tracking history of commissions with possibility to make analysis and reports. Sellers have order details and commission details on hand anytime they need, also for past periods.

  • For very specific client set up may be tool a bit not user friendly and you need to update multiple rules, formulas and other things for calculation to work, even for 1 seller impacted and even changing 1 small thing on the commission plan.
  • Formulas in Xactly are limited to certain length, so sometimes you need to find another workaround how to get what you want with other functions/rules and match them.
  • Also, creation of single report is sometimes not very user friendly when there is a need to use complicated counted formulas.
  • Back office is not that much user friendly.
For customized set up is more difficult to maintain all the commission plans, formulas, rules.

We use Xactly Incent to manage the daily calculation and reporting of our complex sales commission plans. It provides transparency to the sales team and gives us quick access to reports to enable accurate payroll. We use Salesforce as our order capture and sales management which integrated very well with Incent and operates seamlessly each day.

Sales team members have much more visibility into the details on how their sales commissions are determined and the various deals that comprise the results.

The impersonation tool is very helpful in identifying issues from the end user, our old system did not have that. The scope of our teams use is every single day. Making updates and answering questions when they arise.

Xactly Incent is used to track and pay commissions to our sellers. There are different methods of who MillerKnoll pays their sellers depending on the role they have in the sales process. Xactly Incent was purchased to help with these different roles in tracking and paying. I help with the set up of the sellers, trouble shoot why the volume isn't tracking accordingly, and pay commissions to those folks.

We use Incent to manage 40 different payment plans across 2000 retail partners under a dozen Master Agents in 5 countries. Our compensation structure is at both an organizational as well as a personal level and Incent provides the flexibility to do that. Incent allows us to calculate complex compensation structures quickly and accurately so we can pay our retailers in an efficient and well-organized way. We appreciate that it is user-friendly and gives us the control to manage our comp plans.

Incent is a well-designed and easy-to-use system to calculate and manage sales teams. Until recently we have been using it to manage and calculate compensation at a company level rather than an individual level. Using it in a sales team scenario is flawless but there are some quirks that come along with using it in a way that it was not necessarily designed to handle. It would be wonderful if Incent's design had the ability to turn off certain features in specific plans so that we could better leverage some of the features.

With Xactly Incent our sales employees are easily able to see each day what they have earned in commissions for the month and what they are expected to receive on their next commission check. We no longer have to create manual statements for employees and they can see everything that makes up their commission checks in one easy-to-read location.

One of the things that I like the best about Xactly is that they are constantly looking to get feedback from their customers in order to make the system better and more useful for their customers. They take the feedback received from customers and actually apply it to their system.The biggest downside that we have noticed is the lack of Point in Time reporting. This would be incredibly useful for pulling reports for our auditors. Without this specific functionality in Incent we cannot always pull the reports we would like from the system.

  • Xactly Incent does not provide management with an easy way to view aggregate commission payouts
Xactly is a top-notch system that can handle all kinds of incentive scenarios. However, it also requires a lot of maintenance to keep running effectively post-implementation. I would not recommend this system for a company that is looking to achieve cost savings through automation and the reduction of compensation specialist headcount. In all likelihood, you will need to increase your staffing on the HR side to effectively maintain the system. However, Xactly can provide cost savings in terms of its ability to accurately calculate commissions for a large organization. Cost savings can be achieved through the reduction of calculation errors, miscommunication of results to employees, etc.

we use Incent to calculate monthly commissions and to provide reporting to the commissioned employees as well as to the Finance and Sales Operations teams. Prior to Incent the commissions were calculated using spreadsheets so this was a change to automate what had been a very manual process.
  • Incent allows for relatively easy updates to plan configuration
  • The tool runs very quickly when we process what we call a sync or pipeline
  • Most objects can be updated via mass uploads
  • Some of the recently updated views are not always intuitive, so I have to reach out to support for assistance, for example in figuring out how to run a query
  • I am struggling a bit with the document management tool but need to take more training
  • We have not adopted the prior period processing function as it seems like a big change where the negative impacts might outweigh the benefits
The Incent tool is very easy to use and the navigation is mostly straightforward. They are still bringing consistency to the look and feel across workspaces, so it will be nice once the updating is complete.

I have found the monthly incentive statements to be too person-centric and when a payee moves between roles some of the data for the old role is reflected with data for the old role and it makes the plan to date metrics confusing.

Xactly Incent is a tool we use to calculate sophisticated commissions, and to store historical information. We use the tool monthly for all of our calculations.

Xactly Incent was onboarded in 2016. Prior to 2016 commissions were completed using a home-grown database and many, many spreadsheets. Xactly was able to integrate the home-grown database into their program and eliminate most of the manual processes that were in place. Today Xactly Incent is working great with our new updated systems (Dynamics, Salesforce)
  • Prior to 2020, we paid commissions on when an order shipped. This could be a year or more after booking the order. Xactly has the ability to look backward at quota attainment, rate, and comp plan details.
  • The new year comp plan set up is pretty easy and once it's set, you can trust it to work
  • I really enjoy their training classes. I've always learned exactly what I needed to and they give you a good baseline to understand how to figure some things out for yourself.
  • Xactly offers some free training and certificates, which is great.
  • The Premium Support option is worth the money. Response and Results are immediate
  • I don't care for the "buckets" used for reporting. It would be nice if I can get all info in one report i.e. contract #, customer info, product info, item amount, attainment info, rate, calculation, payment, etc. This would eliminate the need to vlookup multiple reports.
  • Add a "select all" option on the download report icon. This would eliminate me having to delete one report at a time, which wouldn't be so horrible if it was just one click but it's not.
  • Updating the layouts of the exported reports and onscreen reports is not that user-friendly and is very time-consuming.
I think it's well suited for almost any type of customer. Once the plans are set up, it's really plugged and play and that point. However, if detailed reports are required then the Xactly user needs some Excel skills. Xactly does require the user to be analytical and detailed-minded if there is an issue with the setup. If the person is not process-minded, they may have difficulty finding the error.

I use Xactly to configure all Sales commissions plans for each year, where all Sales orders are sync to Incent via Connect procedures. Calculate direct indirect credit and commission on it with the rate table and other pay curves measures.
  • running bunch of excel sheet calculation overcomes in Xactly incent, the process is error free and can rely on the the numbers generated from it
  • e2e deals closed in single view, incentives statements, other POD dashboard and analytics reporting make work easy
  • turn around time to close the monthly commissions and gathering data for further payroll processes
  • Analytics reporting and easy guide on building reports
  • navigation in incent, e.g. backspace doesn't work in incent
  • Lookup table, it should not save the records until and unless you click on save button
  • Plan docs should be more flexible. e.g. relabeling of quota, credit should not impact other Plan docs created
wide variety of calculation methodologies, reporting, different layers of crediting and commissioning for variety of sales comm plans
