I use Xactly to upload transactions, revenue, and compensation data to check against my calculations by hand. We also use it so that the salespeople can view their performance metrics and see areas where they can improve or how much they are owed month to month. There are many more tools to use, and we are in the process of learning how to use more.

Xactly is perfected and suited for uploading large amounts of transaction data, revenue, and incentive data. It's great at accepting large reports regarding personal and plans. It's really easy to write and distribute plans in Xactly. The place where it needs work is some of the UI is not very user friendly and some of the functions regarding hierarchy and named relationships could be easier to understand.

Xactly Incent is currently being used for the compensation management of all sales colleagues that are part of the incentive plan. We use Xactly Incent for assigning KPI's and targets to employees, sending out target letters, monitoring performance during the incentive period and calculating final commissions. Xactly Incent automates lots of manual work for sales colleagues, sales operations and human resources and also gives better insights in day to day performance.

When you have a very complex incentive plan or if you require flexibility or changes to be made every now and then, Xactly Incent can be relatively tough to work with.

Xactly tool has become my first browsing tool to login, I personally use it daily to manage my users. Xactly has made our life simpler, especially in bringing professional view to sales team, For our internal audit purpose, routing plan letters to all individuals.<br><br>We are still looking forward having Quota attainment dashboard for our internal use, many places we still face difficulties in search options, which are already highlighted with support team.

We use Xactly Incent as the center point for anything Sales Commissions Related.
We also use 2 other separate instances for the Finance (CEA) & Channels teams.
Both of which are directly tied to our Incent Data.

All of our financials, budgets & accruals are tied to Incent through CEA. This feature totally simplifies the task of having to provide Finance with our monthly results to tie out payments and forecast accruals. I believe it is all done directly through their instance of Xactly, CEA.

Likewise, the same applies for the Channels teams, with their instance of Xactly.
  • Provides the Sales Team with access to view their commissions and the details behind those numbers.
  • Provides the Management and Leadership team access to view their own results as well as all the details of their team members.
  • Concise and precise calculations that are built into rules which provide more consistent and accurate results as opposed to spreadsheets which have much higher risk of manipulation and error.
  • The ability to pull reports on almost anything you have in Incent.
  • It doesn't provide real-time results after updates are made that require recalculation. You have to wait for a refresh time to pass.
  • The ability to edit the Draw section, so that you can identify and/or distinguish the difference between Recoverable and Non-Recoverable Draws.
  • Customizing the rare and out of the ordinary situations. It can be done, but typically requires the aid of Support.
I still haven't seen or used a tool that compares to the user experience that Xactly Incent provides to the Sales Force.

Xactly Incent is a really impressive tool for calculating commission attainment automatically. Thereby, it enables sales reps to monitor their in period attainments. Another great tool is the option to send target letters to all sales reps in one click. It requires a lot of time implementing all your kpis before it works.

We have a complex bonus system and therefore it costs us a lot of time.
Xactly make it easier for us to calculate the performance. In the future we would like to payout our sales employees via Xactly.

We have been working on the implementation of Xactly for over 1 year. It is still not implemented completely. I must admit that we have a complex bonus system, but we have spent hours and hours deleting rows which could have saved us a lot of time. If you have a simple bonus system, Xactly would be great. If you have a complex system like we have, reserve a lot of time to implement it.
This topic is not relevant for us yet. We are still trying to implement Xactly completely. After that we will try to improve it.

We use it as a compensation tool where sales uses it check their commissions. It's a very robust tool which helps to manage the incentives very smoothly. It also has the functionality of plan design where we can create compensation plans as per the business requirements and keep the quotas and targets saved in Xactly Incent. It also allows setting up of crediting rules and configuration to automatically calculate bonuses, etc., as per the orders.

Xactly Incent is an amazing product for incentive based organizations. It provides great coverage for audit compliance as well. It might not be an apt solution where incentives for sales aren't involved. Also, it is preferable for medium scale organizations where only a lesser number of sales reps are involved.

I use Xactly Incent to view my incentive compensation data, including commissions that are upcoming or current, as well as ongoing residual commissions and historical commission payouts. Xactly Incent works great to eliminate the need to review commissions manually or engage with our internal incentive comp teams to ask questions. I'd say this certainly helps save time and increases transparency around earned commissions and incentive payout data.

Xactly Incent is the best tool I've used for reviewing current and historic incentive compensation data. The dashboards and UI are attractive and easy to navigate, and it's fully integrated with Salesforce. Awesome platform, great functions, and makes it a breeze to navigate my commissions.

Xactly is used to manage the Compensation administration process starting with rep accesses to final reporting via the Incentive Statement. Managing commissions for more than 500 employees on Excel is not viable and Xactly provided the right solution. Xactly at our organization provides transparency on their incentive calculations and Quota achievements.

Incent is best suited for Small and medium business. It best works with an Inhouse Admin who can build plans and seamlessly implement it. Dont think it will work for Bigger corporations due to the amount of plans they have the numbers of commissions analysts who can be working on the tool simultaneously,

I'm using Xactly Incent to calculate the credits and commissions for the sales reps+the bonuses. Also for calculation of the orders purchased based on different scenarios when it is required by the sales reps. We are using the tool also for reporting purposes when we want to see some sales trends.

It is very easy to match the payments done quarterly with the remaining balance and sales reps are understanding very easily what is their due commission needs to be paid. The hardest part is when we're reprocessing all Year to Date data, it takes a very long time and during that time we are not using the tool nor the sales reps.

Xactly Incent is our Compensation tool where we have all the necessary data for all sales representatives, considering that we have a complex compensation plan. We test it before each new fiscal year in order to make sure that the new policy is accommodated well and then during the year, we help the sales representatives to understand the numbers, providing them also the manual calculation. When we find flows, we correct them with the help of the Admin, Support or Consultant.

Xactly is well suited in terms of user interface, handling complex commission policies, auditing versions.
Xactly is less appropriate when refreshing the data and keeping historical data from one refresh to the other.
We make spot checks in Xactly to make sure that everything is in order and we have also other checks from which we spot inconsistencies. Most of the time we find issues due to the set-up. We try to make policies easier after having past experience, but it is not always up to us. Everytime we review the policies, we make sure that they can be integrated in Xactly.

Xactly has been used for almost 4 years for yearly plans. Every new fiscal year, there is a request for updates of formulas/rules due to the changes in the Compensation plans.

We use xactly to administer the bonuses and commissions for the sales organization within our company.
The business problem I find the most annoying is the fact that we have to manually refresh the data and recalculate.
The refresh cannot be performed at any time because we might affect another team that uses the tool in parallel.

We use Xactly Incent on a daily basis because it helps with the commission calculation process for sales reps. It's great that you can customize the calculation rules and the generated results are usually correct and accurate. Also, it is pretty user friendly and I personally can say that it didn't take much to get used to this tool after coming from another Comp tool.

Overall, I would say that Xactly Incent is a good tool for calculating commissions for sales reps, but it can be improved for sure - for example, it would be 10 times better if the changes (adjustments, split changes etc) would have a history view - if a sales rep is removed from a deal, it would be easier to see the 100% (old view) and then -100%(adj/change) which brings the rep to 0.
Frankly, I'm quite new in using this tool as I previously worked with another Comp software, so I cannot say I have an overview of how to improve the way commission is calculated and managed, but all the ideas that I had are noted in this review, more in regards of tool improvement

We use Xactly Incent for our monthly commission statements, for tracking our actuals vs. plan, and looking at quarterly and annual performance. It helps me know exactly which deals I'm getting compensate on, with details of payments down to the line item. As a channel sales professional, I'm involved in a large number of deals, and the Incent platform is a major value-add for tracking the sheer volume of deals.
  • It shows me high-level summaries, and low-level details for each software sale to a customer, and the individual line items within a deal that I'm paid on.
  • It shows quarterly and annual attainment vs. my goals.
  • It allows me to export all the data for a particular report, which is very helpful for doing further analysis with Microsoft Excel.
  • It helps me archive data and reports for updating my LinkedIn profile each year.
  • It may be an issue with how my current company implements Xactly Incent, but I would like to see more frequent updates than monthly.
  • If I could run what-if scenarios to project out future months/quarters, this could be helpful for my full-year planning.
Since most companies rely on spreadsheets, and just "trust us" mentalities from sales operations teams, this platform tells me, down to the penny and with high confidence, what my next commission payment will be. It avoids so many questions, saving myself, my manager, and our sales ops team countless hours!

Xactly Incent is used to manage commissions for the sales organization worldwide. As of March 2023, we have approximately 600 users distributed among seven commission plans: account executive, VP/RVP, presales, industry practices, solutions, sales admin, and channels.
  • Credit and commissions calculation and rule management.
  • Hierarchy management.
  • Indirect credit through named relationships.
  • Calculation of commission amount subject to accelerators after quota achievement reaches a specific attainment percentage.
  • Customization of some interfaces--for example, the default download file format is XLSX. It would be great if I could be able to set it to CSV by default.
  • Analytics: Terminated employees are not included in reports.
  • Automation: It would be great to have a tool that allows us to create a sequence of steps with some parameters that could be run automatically and sequentially. For example, with one click get credit, commission, and bonus result files downloaded in a CSV format.
Any organization that needs to manage commissions will greatly benefit with Xactly Incent.
Variance analysis of quota attainment vs OTE attainment. A properly designed commission plan should provide a close to 1:1 ratio of quota attainment/OTE attainment. Big variations are analyzed and revised.
The Xactly Incent Technical Support team is very responsive and always does a great job
The engineering team keeps making user interfaces friendlier and easier to use

Used to calculate commissions for sales population. We avoid Excel usage and have Xactly also for tracking history of commissions with possibility to make analysis and reports. Sellers have order details and commission details on hand anytime they need, also for past periods.

  • For very specific client set up may be tool a bit not user friendly and you need to update multiple rules, formulas and other things for calculation to work, even for 1 seller impacted and even changing 1 small thing on the commission plan.
  • Formulas in Xactly are limited to certain length, so sometimes you need to find another workaround how to get what you want with other functions/rules and match them.
  • Also, creation of single report is sometimes not very user friendly when there is a need to use complicated counted formulas.
  • Back office is not that much user friendly.
For customized set up is more difficult to maintain all the commission plans, formulas, rules.

We use Xactly Incent to manage our sales compensation plans for 400+ employees with variable commissions. This includes plan document management, quota retirement, and commission calculations. We also use it to help with performance reporting, spiff & bonus & draw applications, & down the road for accounting accrual purposes.

Xactly Incent is great when it comes to providing a professional environment for our reps to understand their performance and commission payouts in relative real time. Additionally being able to create pop-up messages and route approval required plans has been a great additional component. The area that I wish Incent built out more is a robust service desk, so that there's a one-stop shop for our reps to inquire in detail.
The analytics side of Incent is challenging in our opinion. The reports are difficult to create and require some customization from consultants. Therefore we typically export raw data in order to run our analytics.

We use Xactly Incent to manage the daily calculation and reporting of our complex sales commission plans. It provides transparency to the sales team and gives us quick access to reports to enable accurate payroll. We use Salesforce as our order capture and sales management which integrated very well with Incent and operates seamlessly each day.

Xactly Incent is great for handling large volumes of complex sales plan compensation calculations. It is excellent at allowing viewing of historical results along with viewing version history on organization hierarchy, quotas, compensation plans across multiple roles and payment variables. The ability to update near realtime allows for quick results. Sales team members have much more visibility into the details on how their sales commissions are determined and the various deals that comprise the results.
We are able to use the Xactly Incent system to help identify issues with our complex sales plans that can be potential liabilities for the company and cause unnecessary stress with the sales team members.

Xactly Incent meets our HR and legal requirements by allowing accurate implementation of designed plans, audit capability, plan routing and status tracking. It meets the Sales team requirements by giving visibility to goals and credits, transparency to achievements via incentive statements and ranking.<br><br>Xactly Analytics is a user friendly tool that allows us to automate variety of reports and publish them on the user dashboard easily. It provides valuable insights into sales performance and compensation data. It allows organizations to analyze sales data in real-time, giving them a better understanding of sales performance and make informed decisions.<br><br>Xactly community portal and university offers an excellent resource from beginners to advanced learners. Monthly newsletters keeps the administrator up to date with upcoming changes. The email series with tips n tricks and quick learning videos (XUshorts) are my favorites.
