What is InsideSales Playbooks?

InsideSales Playbooks (formerly XANT Playbooks) aims to help SDRs and AEs quickly build closeable pipeline, by helping salespeople get a hold of more of the right people. InsideSales.com uses their A.I.-platform called Neuralytics to target likely buyers combined with their cadence engine to help sales reps consistently engage all of their prospects in a personalized way.

Just like Waze from Google helps drivers get to their destination quickly based on the data from other drivers, Neuralytics uses the collective knowledge of the Insidesales.com user base to help build the sales pipeline quickly. For example, Neuralytics can reveal phone number or email address for a prospect is best, or the best time to call or email, based on the experience of others. Predictive Playbooks uses Neuralytics to gives sales reps an edge over their competition.

The Cadence engine works for small or large teams, global teams, and international calls. The product also conveniently syncs all activity data back to your CRM. Since sales reps only spend 18% of their time in CRM, it also works outside a CRM, wherever salespeople work.


InsideSales is an Aurea company, since the August 2021 acquisition.

It has been helpful for sure but there is times where it isn't helpful and it makes our process just tedious. The organizational skills are nice and helps my day be a lot smoother. Although like I said before there are times where when the decision maker is contacted the Playbooks doesn't act accordingly and actually affects us negatively.

The extension is extremely useful, although we have found some issues in bugs and slow loading. Using it as an extension makes it feel very modern and accessible, and it prevents them from having fancy equipment or needing any sort of IT intervention in their daily use. I'd like to see more bug fixes in the future, but otherwise extremely useful.

It only took a day to get comfortable with Playbooks. The ease of use and overall usability is fantastic in the sense that it's pretty straightforward once you get enough repetitions in the tool. I also like all of the videos and resources available if support is needed.

It could be a little more customizable and easier to use in terms of being able to edit/disposition our calls.
We are able to see what we need to do during our day but I'm not able to customize it how I would like to.
It is very easy to use and we really only needed one day of someone just around us available to help unless we had any other questions- it was rolled out first to a new team before we got it so most of the bugs were fixed- the program seems easy to adjust for our needs/requests though

I think the plug in is one the of features that makes this tool easy to use. Right when you open your CRM the dashboard has all the calls you need to make all the emails you need to send and your past due tasks. It really helps you map out your day.

The browser extension is great as it's just a plug-in using my SFDC CRM. There have been very little issues using the Playbooks plug-in with SFDC. I would like to see more capabilities within the tool for sending marketing emails at the touch of a button without going through the call/email track.

The reason why I give it this rating is because the browser extension can be used on any single page, whether it is LinkedIn, a CRM or even Google. This allows me to be able to stay on top of my activity no matter what page I am browsing on. This useability puts InsideSales above many other sales tools.

Massively improves things! Having a toolbar is so much easier than simply swapping between tabs which would make the platform cumbersome, and barely distinguish it from existing CRM tools.

It doesn't take up too much screen space, and is quickly hidden/shown with the click of a button. I like that it's a tool that goes with you on different websites/web locations, and that it can be easily minimized when working in the CRM.

Removes busywork from CRM and automatically pulls in critical data, which is a huge contributing factor to ease-of-use. The extension sits out of the way - in a corner - and is easily accessible. By making Playbooks a browser extension, Insidesales.com have streamlined the user experience by keeping it in a CRM context. Very helpful!

This tool is a personal favorite for engagement with clients. It is detailed enough, but perhaps does not provide insight right away (predictive), and may sometimes freeze; these are the only major flaws. I would recommend this tool as it is flexible, and can be personalized, and organizes our engagements efficiently.
