What is Zoho Analytics?

Zoho Analytics is a self-service BI and analytics platform that enables users to analyze their business data and create insightful reports and dashboards to drive informed decision-making. The recent launch of Zoho Analytics 5.0 adds a data preparation tool.

It helps users create and share reports with no IT help, and is presented as a fit for enterprises because it exceeds all their data cleaning and analytics requirements on a single platform.

Zoho Analytics and DataPrep can be purchased as individual apps to supplement other systems, or together as a complete, natively integrated platform. Individually, Analytics provides a broad range of analytics and reporting capabilities, while DataPrep provides all the tools necessary to streamline the data preparation process in a large organization.

About Zoho's comprehensive Analytics platform:

  • Zoho DataPrep: An augmented self-service data preparation and pipeline service . Connects, models, cleanses, transforms, and enriches data for analytics.

  • Upload any data: Securely upload spreadsheets and other tabular data (like CSV, TSV, XLS and HTML files), or add data directly using the spreadsheet-like interface.

Zoho Analytics is very easy to use. People with 'Excel' skills have a very short learning curve until start to use it to create their own reports and data visualizations. Also, for more tech-skilled people it is possible to create mode detailed data manipulations using SQL, and also visual customize your charts and dashboards, giving the visual look from the company.

Multiple reasons for that like dashboards where you can make any dashboards on your data sets just by plug and play and even further you can write SQL query in Zoho Analytics and you can make dashboards on your SQL query which is the best part of Zoho platform. Furthermore, you can share your dashboards through the external link with customized passwords to the other people who are not part of your organization, this level of functionality will be very useful for our organization.

You've got to know some SQL, but if do then Zoho Analytics will be a fun playground...the world is at your fingertips. Much of my SQL skills have been developed and refined as a result of the Zoho Analytics platform. I feel like they made it as easy as it can get.

It is one of the best tool in the market and can be integrate easily with many CRM products with various useful feature. Zoho Analytics has a lot of tools for making your custom dashboards but you really need some knowledge about tables or Excel usage to select the operations that you want it to execute to convert the data into information, but it's not that hard enough.

Zoho is quite good relatively, it has a faster response time for most cases, From UI/UX to integration of connectors, they are extendable. Low downtime. The accuracy of insights has been improved, and able to use pre-defined graphs and visualization tools/metrics easily. Custom report building is one of the interesting features, it helps in better reporting insights instead of canned templates and queries.

The GUI and interface allow you to get started very quickly without having to learn much about how it operates. The application is built for GUI users - people who don't want or need access to the raw SQL queries. If you are an SQL person, then you may find it convenient to set up queries in SQL and then give your end users/viewers interactive filters.

Almost any source can be used to compile data using Zoho Analytics. I would rate Zoho as one of the easiest BI tools I have used. Most of the visualization is drag and drop and very intuitive. But Zoho Analytics lacks a larger community of users like Tableau and PowerBI so for small issues I have to reach out to Zoho support.
And although the support is good, but it sometimes becomes difficult for us to explain our complex use case in detail to them and they reach out internally to SMEs to resolve this.
Otherwise there is a lot of automation, auto-scheduling of reports, very good storyboarding capabilities, good collaboration, and security with multiple user access levels

You definitely have to be tech/data savvy to setup more complex reporting. However for basic reporting it's super easy. Setting up data synchronization is very straight forward for most systems and once it's setup it runs without issue. The system itself has an easy to use and understand UI although the main dashboard is a little dated. It could use some newer functionality like drag and drop for the Explorer view

It seems to me that it is intuitive. However, it would be opportune to set training phases for those who are approaching a tool like this for the first time. It is clear that the platform throws data that, if they are combined, can be exploited according to their business objective. It would be key to be able to compare figures of competitors, standards and basic elements of the movement in social networks.

I have used better analytic software; it has a lot to improve, starting from the UX. From the usage POV, I personally think, based on the functionality, it is pretty neat. But from a UX perspective, it can improve a lot. Also, it can add a lot of new functionality and also feature its capabilities at the top.
