What is Zoho Analytics?

Zoho Analytics is a self-service BI and analytics platform that enables users to analyze their business data and create insightful reports and dashboards to drive informed decision-making. The recent launch of Zoho Analytics 5.0 adds a data preparation tool.

It helps users create and share reports with no IT help, and is presented as a fit for enterprises because it exceeds all their data cleaning and analytics requirements on a single platform.

Zoho Analytics and DataPrep can be purchased as individual apps to supplement other systems, or together as a complete, natively integrated platform. Individually, Analytics provides a broad range of analytics and reporting capabilities, while DataPrep provides all the tools necessary to streamline the data preparation process in a large organization.

We review our key performance indicators within the Zoho Analytics space. We currently use data from both Zoho & outside sources.
  • Flexible
  • Ease of use compared to other data visualization tools.
  • Allows further access to the current Zoho Suite.
  • Doesn't push back into Zoho modules.
  • Visualization options are limited compared to competitors.
  • ETL options aren't as advanced as competitors (Power BI for example).
If you are a Zoho One customer, Zoho Analytics is a very cost-effective solution to compile core metrics. For someone working outside of the Zoho Suite, there are other options such as Microsoft PowerBI that provide a more robust overall experience.
Generally pretty simple user interface. Once you get past the initial learning curve of understanding your Zoho Data, making simple canned reports, or modifying pre-built reports is quite simple.
We have yet to find an outside dataset that doesn't integrate within Zoho Analytics. We are a largely AWS shop and it integrates with the database sets that we use.

Zoho Analytics has allowed my team to tap into the data of our Service Desk Plus Cloud environment to build our metrics dashboards, in order to review resource utilization. Unfortunately, the box KPIs Service Desk Plus Cloud offers were limiting our scope of this analysis. It was a seamless process to test out and enable Zoho Analytics in our environment. I look forward to new features and the incorporation of Zoho Survey into the built-in data sources.

Zoho Analytics has given us the ability to access data from our instance of Service Desk Plus Cloud that ManageEngine does not provide from their out-of-the-box reporting feature. This information is essential to managing our support teams that work within the Service Desk Plus Cloud system. Although it does not expose all data points from the application and building calculated data points can be quite cumbersome.
The application is not very intuitive upon entry. It would be helpful if ManageEngine provided more training opportunities for customers that are using Zoho Analytics specifically in conjunction with Service Desk Plus Cloud in order to get the most out of their subscription. The training currently offered only gives examples for a small sample set data loads.
Zoho Analytics is very responsive when working and building reports.

I am handling the complete data and analytics department of the mid-size organization. Used to create reports, dashboards, and combine query tables which help organizations take business decisions. I didn't like it at all, too many restrictions in query, pivot, graph, etc in my opinion. And I couldn't find anything on Google, I had to go to their customer support, and ironically I didn't find anything there as well.

Too many restrictions in query, pivot, graph, etc in my opinion. And I couldn't find anything on Google, I had to go to their customer support, and ironically I didn't find anything there as well.
As I mentioned not at all useful for the expert level in my opinion. Too many limitations and restrictions comparing what other tools are offered in the market in my experience.
In my opinion: Not able to handle large data, too much load time, can't create many queries, and takes time to load dashboards.
In my experience, no solution at all, and time-consuming. they took days to answer which is not possible (negative).

Our business is a marketing, sales, operations, and installation business. We have 11 departments and all need to share data to create a single source of truth. We had data in Zoho CRM for our marketing and sales teams, and we also had data in Zoho Projects for our Operations and Installations team. By utilizing Zoho Analytics we were able to merge the data together into a single platform by using data syncing. With all the information contained within Analytics, we are able to report and visualize the front and back halves of the business model. Doing so allows us to gain deep insights into all the milestones of a customer's journey. We have been able to make smarter business decisions as a result of the information Zoho Analytics has provided which has to lead to our company making the INC 5000 list 2 years in a row.

Out of the box, there are many things a user can do with little to no experience. There are also AI enhancements to assist in uncovering insights. Where things can get more complex are the various settings that reports and tables can have which are not as obvious to the undertrained eye. Fortunately, there are webinars and a whole digital library of learning videos to assist with upskilling and assisting.
Extremely easy to replicate reports, and duplicate dashboards to ensure time savings and efficiency by replicating similar tables. The integrations allow for multiple third-party sources to sync with the software and allow for interactions that visualize the data. The data is stored in the cloud and has millions of rows of storage available to grow and evolve as needed.

We use Zoho Analytics primarily to query data for Zoho Desk and do reports that fall outside of the built-in Zoho Desk reporting. We have been recently utilizing it to do more complex charts showing the types of helpdesk calls that we are getting and to break down the top problems to submit to the product managers.
  • The built in AI (Zia) can often give you a quick report just by using English words.
  • The ability to include data sources from multiple silos helps produce reports with the big picture
  • Default reports/dashboards give a wide range of information without having to customize.
  • I am confused about some of the filtering dropdowns and why almost duplicate reports act differently for the filters.
  • The publishing of reports seems a little confusing in the area of allowing access if you are authenticated to the Zoho Desk.
If you use other Zoho products, Analytics is a must to get as much data out of those systems. While they have built-in reports, they have some limitations on the number of records you can export and such. Analytics removes those barriers. We have not attempted to pull in any non-Zoho databases so I am not sure how well that works yet.
It is sometimes hard to judge the ease of use of products like this because to make them great they tend to have to be complex. However, they have done a great job in my mind of allowing users of various skill levels an easy way to report/chart their data.
I have been very surprised at how close an AI-generated graph/report is by just using English words. I have used this numerous times to get started and then tweak it after that fact.

What I like most about this software is the live connection of external data and pixel reports and its customizable dashboards, to tailor it to our brand.
  • This software allows us to print the report in pdf format, which makes it easy for us to view and share the reports with clients and partners, without problems and file incompatibility.
  • It also allows uploading files from various sources such as Excel, Oracle, text files such as CSV, HTML, etc., as well as receiving and sending data from the cloud or local database, for the creation of reports.
  • It allows for the publication of the reports made on the company's website, blogs, and applications so that everyone can be informed of the data and analysis.
  • Can be intimidating software, especially for people who don't have a lot of coding knowledge, so it takes some time to learn.
  • I would like to see more help desk support or instructional tutorials to better guide us in the use of the software.
  • I would also like them to present templates to create reports more automatically and quickly.
We highly recommend this software, because it has helped us a lot to grow the company and make the right decisions, based on the data obtained and the accurate reports that the software allows us to make. It will be of great help to companies of all sizes, as it will help them to grow much more.

It is widely used for data visualization purposes but we have generated data tables as well. The graphical user interface (GUI) helps in creating both tables and dashboards very easy and simple. The AI engine also helpful which creates a structure of the dashboard in a minute obviously the entire skeleton cannot be used as it is but one can always modify those to suit fit the requirement.

Zoho Analytics enabled me to prospect better by providing details and scoops about the company I wanted to approach for my B2B sales prospecting. It provides information and details about the targeted companies and people who are being targeted. These insights can be used for accelerating the leads. The job of prospecting is not an easy one and any tool which eases it is most welcomed.

Zoho Analytics suits the users who are looking for a bit of a mass-market outreach. Once you go into the targeted reach out prospecting then the issue of lack of accurate information kicks in. In order to get better detail and insights, we have to get into other sites on the internet and dig in.
The ease of data preparation and gathering is there but a bit more data on the targeted leads would have been a lot more useful. It's a great tool for mass approach and mass outreach. When it comes to targeted and segmented outreach it lacks a bit of refinement which is still required.
The scalability of the solution is great and helps mid to large-scale users of the solution to simultaneously look into the platform. The Statistical analysis is there but could use a bit more refinement. I understand these will improve over time as the AI is better trained by repeating analyses of multiple sorts.

Zoho Analytics is well suited to create quick reports and dashboards for daily use, share with your team, or when you need to give a professional look at that presentation. With the data imported into Zoho Analytics, you can create dynamic charts to get quick insights and put them all together in a presentation or dashboard.
Zoho Analytics is very easy to use. People with 'Excel' skills have a very short learning curve until start to use it to create their own reports and data visualizations. Also, for more tech-skilled people it is possible to create mode detailed data manipulations using SQL, and also visual customize your charts and dashboards, giving the visual look from the company.
Regarding working with large datasets Zoho Analytics can do very well, since there are multiple ways to connect to your data, from simple databases to large data warehouses. You can also create extractions and data manipulation with custom queries in SQL directly in the Zoho Analytics import process, without the need to ask the IT team to create a custom view in your DW just for you.

Zoho Analytics is must required tool for a product company. This tool is easy to use and has good value for money as it has very good data features. This product has helped our product team to read user behavior, value prepositions, and business growth parameters. We are lucky that with the help of the analysis feature we could early identify things and added the necessary features to make the product better. This is the tool that we use every morning to monitor our growth.
Our sales team also uses this platform and they are nontechnical and they are good to use and easily able to navigate on the platform.
We have more than 2 million records on Zoho and it manages all of them very smoothly.

The overall end-user experience is magnificent as our company is rising high with every passing day and our departments are coordinating in a well way too. Its CRM synchronization, reporting, and automation are pretty good and have a lot of wonderful features that have made it a highly important tool for our company.

Traditional IT Operation tools capture alerts from all the Infrastructure and then build Reports and Dashboards. This is one of the critical components in an organization NOC. Likewise, several other tools capture different metrics, which leads to several different reports, quite difficult to manage. Henceforth, we utilize advanced and simple to use "Zoho Analytics" to mitigate these shortcomings, centralize our reporting and dashboards from a unified platform.

  • Capability to share our analysis of data with remote employees, in just few clicks
  • Our organization as well varied partners we worked with, they like the simplicity to navigate and build reports, dashboards at a shorter pace. This excludes operation cost and faster analysis of availability, the performance of KPIs. So far, we are yet to see any features that might feel challenging. Overall product support is very prompt and updates as well roadmap are notified to customers, very transparent.
Long gone are the days when a dedicated Database admin is sought after to collate and build in-house scripts to consolidate data from different sources. Not to mention, each Application with its own Database presents a unique challenge. There are a wide variety of connectors available out-of-box within Zoho Analytics, which can be utilized for making a prompt connection with different files, databases as well Business Apps, to build amazing Dashboards and reports with meaningful data. At the same, custom connectors and REST API options are available to further exploit the advanced capabilities of Zoho Analytics.
NOC operation as well Internal IT team are inundated with Business-critical tasks. Simplification of collating data from different sources and having to build dashboards at just a few clicks was very convenient. IT Operation department doesn't have time to write scripts, they need an easy interface to navigate, which was appreciated from "Zoho Analytics"
This feedback was presented to us by one of our key partners, "Our NOC team has 5 dashboards from different solutions. We gave our in-house developer a project to capture data from all these applications, it took 3 months to build and we were able to achieve 3 meaningful reports. Then, we had a free trial of "Zoho Analytics" and were amazed not only by its capability to capture data from all sources but giving us the ability to search within Dashboards and reports by typing just a few words. The end result was intuitive, fast, and exactly we needed to meet KPIs for our NOC operations".

Data captured inside zoho is great in analytics.
Lots of other sources can be used well, getting them all to talk to each other is possible, but takes a knowledge in deluge or ability to hire someone with knowledge to work around more complex issues.
there are a lot of things that are really great about it. However, if you are looking for robust system, you may need to contract with folks who understand deluge to tie together pieces you can't on your own. Programmers are reasonably priced so as long as that isn't an issue for finances, it shouldn't be an issue.
scalability is great. again - may need a deluge expert to help.

Zoho analytics is a complete data analysis and visualization tool. You can create views , dashboards, query tables etc. it syncs with most of your Zoho applications and other database applications as well. The auto sync feature is very good which definitely helps in automating KPI calculations. It also provided various options to share your reports.

Zoho analytics is a very good tool if you are using complete or most of Zoho business suit applications already. It makes very easy to sync data between those. It is great tool for basic analysis if you have limited data. Few hundred thousands should be fine. If you are looking for cheap alternative for visualization tools like Tableau, Zoho analytics is very good option.
I feel 8 rating represents the good and clean UI they have. Segregation of reports , dashboards and views is great. The feature to auto generate analytical report using Zoho’s smart AI was an excellent feature.
However, I deducted 2 points because I feel the still lack some dashboard elements, some features like adding extra filter to KPI widgets, use of window function in query table could make the Zoho Analytics an awesome choice.
Zoho Analytics is designed to provide organizations with scalable software that can handle working with large datasets, integrate several data sources, and perform AI based statistical analysis. AI based statistical analysis is often a great starting point for me. The scalability of this product is good, however sometimes you do face some data sync issues but you can fix those quickly.

We utilize Zoho Analytics to better understand our lead, organization, and sales data. While each has its own analytics that can be tracked separately, bringing the data together is what Zoho Analytics is best for.

Zoho Analytics is great if you are using Zoho CRM. If you are not using Zoho CRM, I'm not sure if Zoho analytics is the best tool to use. We use (and need data from), Facebook Ads, Google Ads, CRM lead data, CRM sales data. If you can figure out how to link the data from various sources, Zoho analytics is great for comparing it. In our case, we used things like lead source and geographic data from our CRM to tie it to the other data sources. To use google ads as an example: If you were just using google ads analytics you would see [spending] to 'conversion'. 'conversion' in googles case is a lead. When you combine this data with Zoho analytics, you can see [spending] to 'sale'. Sale is using CRM data to see the date and amount of the sale. Allowing you to better utilize your lead spend.o further than things like the analytics offered by google ads. You can see sales by google We have tried Google Data Studio previously, and this might be better for non-Zoho CRM users.
It is not the easiest to use as a 'drag and drop tool. If you have any no/low code app experience, you will be able to figure out the nuances of Zoho analytics. We did not use the automated insights very helpful because our main use case was combining the various data sources. You do this in custom dashboard building, not in automated insights.
Integrating several data sources is what lets Zoho analytics down. It is more a fault of the 'bolt on' aspect as these issues come to the database creation. If you were able to better relate data from different sources, the end result in analytics would be much more scalable. By having a more robust multiple data source system, including things like better comparison over dates, being able to tie in different data - Zoho analytics would be much more usable. The "AI-based statistical analysis" seems to be more of a buzzword at the moment, I didn't see anything much when I use it.

We use Zoho to review enterprise request and support tickets from business and IT partners. The analytics derived from the reports is used to improve processes, steer decisions, and deliver continual service improvements. The IT organization would be ill equipped and unable to respond quickly to business needs without the ability to visualize work.
  • Reports.
  • Graphics.
  • Email schedule.
  • Better integration with ZOHO ServiceDesk Plus.
  • Removal of data import delay (<15min).
  • More flexibility in report building.
Well suited: when a large amount of data needs to be reviewed and presented in a graphical UI and shared with a large audience. Ability to drill-down to specific data as needed. Multitude of different graphs to visualize data to fit a need.

Less appropriate: when there is a low amount of data it is hard to produce valuable reports. The import delay can cause issues when providing insight to an IT/business process.
It provides an easy interface with drag/drop options and prebuilt reports/dashboards. The out of the box reports are very useful to provide a baseline to build upon. We use the ZIA AI to quickly build reports and find the actions intuitive. Lastly, the ability to share content is simple and offers multiple ways to produce reports.
While we do not use these options to the fullest, the integration list is vast and the available options are quite strong. Specifically we have started to explore using Google analytics integration to provide a unified dashboard combining web analytics and data from our SD+ Enterprise ticketing system. We continue to use the built-in AI function (ZIA) to quickly build reports and dashboards.

Zoho Analytics is used by my business to offer a wide range of reporting and data insights. One example is a customer needed a bespoke weekly recurring doorstep delivery solution, the scope of the business sat outside a subscription platform or regular e-commerce platform. Using Zoho Analytics and I's deep integration with other Zoho platforms I was able to build and deploy a system that runs their production, packing and delivery from a central location.

Simple to use interface and very easy to deploy to end users.

I use it across the company to look at customer flows and communications between departments or even different people in the same department. We are working to improve our customer experience through consistency in how information is delivered/received.

  • Additional integrations to pull info from other online networking sites—NextDoor, Alignable.
The ease of customizing the reports for your needs, and having access to real-time data is a key factor in business success.
I am still learning and some things are not completely intuitive to me, but it is getting better as I become more proficient. Help is always available from any screen and does send you to the appropriate area to find answers quickly when needed.
I appreciate that I have been able to shift our multiple companies into this one platform with ease. I am the key, sometimes the only user, for a couple of the businesses, but I can add a VA or assistant easily and for a very affordable price. The open API allows me to slowly migrate certain systems over until the team is ready for the plunge with Zoho as the key interface.

Zoho Analytics is currently being used in my organization's sales and event planning departments. My organization uses the software to assist in measuring business analytics on each of our client's respective events. We are able to use this software for forecasting processes and to create cost-effective solutions.

  • Editing data on reports is a bit difficult and the addition of more tools could alleviate this.

Zoho Analytics has been a wonderful addition for our organization. It has proven to be cost efficient when working with clients on their events. Being able to pull trend reports and forecast information has truly allowed my organization to become a leader in our field. This is the type of software that makes an organization a leader in their industry.
I rate Zoho Analytics as a 10 because this software is excellent when it comes to the overall end-user experience. We have little to no issues with Zoho Analytics. This is by far one of the easiest products to use. It is really nice to be able to quickly and efficiently pull data into graphs and reports for presentations.
Zoho Analytics is excellent when it comes to working with large datasets and breaking down a massive amount of information with automation. Zoho Analytics has grown and scaled with my organization over the years. We first started using this software in my organization's Sales department and now use it in my events services department. I can certainly see us gradually expanding our use of Zoho Analytics to more departments as well.

Zoho reports are used by our Sales division to pull out reports. It helps to give a visual representation of sales figures, which were previously only seen as numbers. It gives us an understanding of who our major distributors are and what their product mix consists of. This gives us an idea of what segment we should emphasize and helps in product development.
  • The AI feature (ZIA) is a major strength as I see it.
  • Various types of graphical representation, including the tunnel graph.
  • Works seamlessly with most databases.
  • Dashboard feels a little too cramped.
  • Dashboard alignments feel a little off.
  • Query joining has a limitation of 5.
Our ERP solution did not have a graphical representation of data. Zoho has helped a lot in that regard.

Our team uses Zoho Analytics to manage our data and create reports for our clients, as well as determine our sales strategy and prospecting strategy. It helps us use data to make decisions about our sales and businesses processes by analyzing the data within our sales processes and seeing where we are missing opportunity.

Zoho Reports is well suited for most sales organizations because you can sync sales data from the CRM. You can still use other data and create other reports, but this is our primary use case.
This tool is easy to learn especially if you have used other Zoho products before. Our team picked it up pretty easily and was able to learn it right away because of familiarity with other Zoho products.
So far it has scaled pretty well with our business. They do have options to upgrade that can help if you need to so it seems to work for larger businesses as well who may need more users.
The support team is good but they take a while to connect with and a lot of them are located overseas and English is not their first language.

It is an excellent tool to generate reports which can help to analyze and make business decisions. <br>We are using Zoho Analytics to generate reports from Zoho Sprints. We have created multiple reports to track the work progress and the time spent by the team on a specific project. Further, we are using it internally to create tickets and requests.

  • I am not able to see any room for improvement. I found all the options I was looking for.
Zoho Analytics is perfect [for integrating] with project management systems and generate advanced reports. For the time being, I am not able to find any situation where I felt this tool [was] less appropriate. I found all the options which are required to generate reports, and we can [make the] right decisions accordingly.
I am giving the above [rating] as it is a perfect tool and solves my problem. And it deserves this rating.
The product's overall scalability is perfect. There are a lot of options I haven't explored yet.
