What is Zoho Recruit?

It's custom automatable reports enable analyses of processing and information sharing. Zoho Recruit is currently being used by our recruiting and sourcing team. Zoho Recruit allows us to track our client activity, post jobs, manage candidates, manage our recruiting workflow, the source for top talent and keep track of all of our job openings, in one place. We benefit from using Zoho because they offer unlimited job postings (for example, if we have the same job posting in multiple cities, with Zoho Recruit we can post each role individually).
  • Allows for unlimited job postings. While there may be other bells & whistles with other ATS's, we've stayed with Zoho Recruit for this top reason- we can post as many jobs as needed, at the same time. No need for reshuffling job postings. This saves us a lot of time.
  • Manages the staffing agency workflow process. Where staffing agencies differ from HR Team, Zoho Recruits' staffing agency technology allows us to jump right into managing our workflow with a technology that is already set up to support how we need to do this.
  • Connecting clients to candidates, managing emails, scheduling interviews - all in on place. We have the capability to use the software in a way where we don't need to work outside of it- from posting the job to managing the offer details, we can do all of it in ZohoRecruit.
  • Integrations- Zoho Recruit does work to add on additional integrations with job boards, etc.
  • User Interface - It's a bit outdated, and can use significant refreshing. Having the ability to train our new team members on an easier-to-use UI would save us a lot of time. Although Zoho adds on new features, their UI isn't the best to work with.
  • Career Site - Very limited. Without having to hire a developer, the average user is stuck with the limited functionalities of Zoho Recruit's career site. There is no option for our candidates to sort through jobs, we have limited UI control on the layout experience, no room for video, etc.
  • Mobile app- The app has very limited functionality and does not allow us to manage the entire recruiting process via mobile. And at times it crashes or freezes.
Zoho Recruit is great for a startup or small businesses that need a low-cost way to manage the recruiting process. It allows the users to do about everything within the system, and, because of Zoho's other products, can easily be integrated with their CMS, etc. If you have a lot of job openings to post all at one time, Zoho Recruit is #1.

Zoho Recruit may not be the best for larger agencies or a team with employees that rely heavily on mobile to manage their recruiting process. The app has very limited functionality, and the desktop site is not up to date with its responsiveness and user-friendly options.

  • Zoho Recruit allows us to automate our recruiting and sourcing processes.
  • Zoho Recruit allows us to post unlimited jobs to get maximum responses from candidates.
  • Zoho Recruit allows us to ensure that we have control over when and where jobs are being posted online.
Zoho Recruit provides us with the opportunity to post unlimited jobs, manage the entire recruiting process, integrate with job boards, and have a career site- at a low cost. They continue to add on new features and work with staffing agencies to create tailor-made tech platforms that speak to the needs of our industry.
The team from Zoho Recruit emails us weekly, to check-in and see if we have questions, concerns, need assistance with their program, etc. We receive follow up emails and calls from their dedicated support team. They respond quickly via email and phone and ensure that their responses include reference links as to where we can learn ourselves.

We use Zoho Recruit as an applicant tracking system. Our company does two things - hire entry-level business development reps and outside sales roles for our clients. Only the recruiting department uses Zoho Recruit (2 people). It is good for organizing candidates and making sure none slip through the cracks since it is such a high volume of candidates we're speaking with.
  • Easy-to-use interface.
  • Organizing applicants and candidates.
  • Reminding me to reach back out to candidates at a particular time.
  • Doesn't download every resume properly if it is weirdly formatted.
  • Hard to add a resume to current candidates.
  • I can set reminders, but it doesn't send me an email on it like ATS's I've used in the past.
Zoho Recruit is a great tool if you're dealing with a high volume of candidates. You can tag them, making it easier to find candidates with specific qualifications/talents. Even if a candidate isn't a good fit now, Zoho Recruit makes it easier to tag them in case a role in the future is a better fit. Because I talk with 70+ people a week, it is imperative to have an ATS. It wouldn't be appropriate if you weren't doing high-volume recruiting.

  • Finding candidates with specific qualifications is easier.
  • It takes the headache out of organizing candidates.
  • Less time spent organizing the talent pool.
I've only selected Zoho Recruit because that is the Applicant Tracking System my current company uses. I would actually choose Lever over Zoho Recruit because they send me notifications if I've set a reminder in the past, while Zoho does not. You have to just check what tasks you've created and even when it expires, they don't notify me.
I give Zoho Recruit this rating because over all, it has helped me to organize my candidates and saved me time and energy in organizing them myself. Without Zoho Recruit, I simply would not be able to keep my talent pool straight, and it certainly gets the job done.

I took off a couple points because if I download a resume after already inputting the candidate into Zoho, it won't automatically sync the two profiles up. It also does not remind me when a task is expired.

We use Zoho Recruit to share information across offices; we track candidate communication, resumes, client interaction and lists. The information is searchable - and we use the reporting tools to track metrics and create call lists. Additionally, saved searches allow for a quick call list to be generated when a new job order comes in.
  • Lists - can quickly generate lists based on criteria.
  • Saved documents - Zoho catalogs resumes and cover letters for easy retrieval with a date stamp on when they were received.
  • Being able to code candidates allows them to be searchable and listed by skill and location.
  • When searching for a name, it brings up much too broad of a list.
  • Adding candidates from LinkedIn sometimes has a lengthy delay and takes up to 2 minutes to be able to search from them, though I have found a workaround by navigating to the home page to find activity of adding a candidate.
  • Would be helpful if it were more intuitive with adding duplicates.
Its a solid ATS for a small firm with a few users, and it has great storage capacity. However, the upgrade as we grow is cumbersome. Deleting candidates that self add would be helpful as they fill up the storage.

  • We don't lose candidates!
  • We can easily see each other's interaction and it prevents duplicate contacts.
  • We can easily tag candidates we should not reach back out to or those who wish to not be contacted further.
They have always responded quickly and resolved issues.

As a small startup that is sourcing candidates across roles from various free and paid sites and sources, we needed an efficient tool that would help us track candidates through the recruiting process and also to prevent duplicates from multiple sources. While Excel does work, it is cumbersom to use in the long run, cannot be shared easily across multiple resources and does not have automated workflow rules. Zoho Recruit solves all these problems and then some.
  • Zoho Recruit provides automated workflows that be defined to trigger emails for changes in the pipeline stage of a candidate.
  • Zoho Recruit provides the ability to create email templates that can be triggered from the candidates profile without having to retype them.
  • Zoho Recruit enables resume parsing from doc, docx and pdf files which automates the data entry of candidates.
  • Zoho Recruit allows for the creation of a simple career website with the open job positions auto populating from the application onto the site.
  • Zoho Recruit allows for the creation of vendor portals enabling you to better manage the flow of resumes from recruiting vendors.
  • Zoho Recruit should allow for customization of pipelines based on department/role to be hired.
  • Zoho Recruit should allow for customization of the vendor portal allowing the vendor to type in key data points about candidate profiles that are typically not found on the resume, such as notice period, current salary and expected salary.
  • Zoho Recruit could simplify the blueprinting process built into the tool which allows for smooth flow of candidates through the system.
Zoho Recruit is well suited in situations where one has multiple sources of candidates applying for different jobs, as it allows you to keep track of progress across each source. It is also well suited for companies that are constantly hiring and need an efficient system that tracks candidates. Zoho is probably not well suited for someone looking for an absolutely free resource for their ATS, or anyone looking to hire less than 10 people over the next 1-2 years. Tranditional tools can serve the purpose better in those cases.

  • Zoho Recruit has helped me save tremendous amount of time tracking candidates through the recruiting process
  • Zoho Recruit has enabled me to be professional in my communication with candidate and constantly keep them in sync with their progress
  • Zoho Recruit has enabled me to centralize and create consistent processes around my recruiting processes thus saving costs of multiple softwares doing single tasks related to recruiting
Zoho Recruit is far superior to all the other tools I evaluated. It alows for a ton of customization across the application. Templates and automated workflows allow for streamlining processes. It has integrations with several Zoho products and external tools, including Zapier. It provides a set of APIs to use with it. It allows for to-do lists with reminders. It allows for storage of all documents shared by candidates, including assignments. It allows you to create customized offer letters for candidates and keep track of them through the application. None of these capabilites are available in the other tools that I experimented with.
Zoho Recruit customer support is extremely responsive. They have a Live Chat feature which allows you to connect with a representative in real time and discuss your issues. The reps have answered most of my questions, and quickly shared links to FAQs, or shared screenshots. The entire discussion is emailed to you upon completion. Features not available have been added to their requested feature list.

I am a freelance recruiter so Zoho Recruit is my main working tool.
  • CV parsing
  • Clients and candidates follow up
  • Automatization of tasks
  • Customer support
  • Reliability
  • Job website
I won't recommend Zoho Recruit for a large business because the quality of the support team is too poor.

  • Ability to have a powerful ATS at a small price
  • Big problems with business continuity due to the bugs of the new version and the poor quality of support
Zoho Recruit is interesting because it gives you the same powerful features of other more expensive competitors.

The problems lies more with the new version. I experienced a lot of problems during the migration:
I requested the migration to the new version of Zoho Recruit and I must say I am disappointed, not by the solution in itself but by the lack of communication and the bad quality of support:

- I made several requests to be migrated and scheduled several appointments for that. I have been stood up many times.

- When I made the migration, all my external job postings were lost because the publications web links changed. I was able to switch but nobody told me that it will happen, I had to discover it by myself.

- Many options present in the old version (like advanced reporting) are not present in the new one yet. I've been told that they will be developed soon. Again, my business processes rely on these option so I am very angry that I have not been warned before.

- There are still many bugs and problems and it is very complicated to get feedback from the support team. The "we did not receive your mail" excuse is a bit lame.

So Zoho Recruit is a beautiful product but for me it is not yet reliable. I will advise anyone to wait until the products gain more stability before switching.

People from the support team are clearly overloaded with work and not properly trained. It's a constant fight for feedback.
