We use Zoom organization-wide and it is licensed automatically when employees log in via single sign-on. We are very spread out in our operations and Zoom allows real-time meeting and collaboration which is critical. The SSO integration even easily allows consulting professionals to participate in full capacity remotely. We also have a webinar license in my area as we commonly address issues within large audiences. The webinar feature is a very useful addition.
  • Zoom allows a lot of front end set up to customize meetings.
  • Recordings are simple to work with and provide decent quality.
  • Sharing is fast and great quality.
  • Webinars have awesome polling and Q&A features.
  • Works amazingly well with large audiences.
  • Could allow a small webinar in the pro license so users do not have to pay more if they will only have smaller webinars.
  • Better Mac app would be nice.
I have used Zoom for every type of remote meeting, conference, webinar, and even training. The only place I would say Zoom needs improvement is in the addition of training features in addition to whiteboarding. Webinars really shine with Zoom and meetings are so easy to facilitate. The user-friendly interfaces and applications make Zoom the best web conferencing tool I have used in my 20 years as a trainer and manager.

Zoom is used across our entire organization as a way to connect our remote teams and deliver proposals to clients. It helps deliver high-quality audio and visual experience whenever you can't easily be in the same room for a meeting. It also lets you record the conversation so that you can send to people who couldn't attend the meeting.
  • It has an easy to use interface.
  • It allows meeting recording.
  • It delivers HQ audio and visual.
  • I'd like it to be easier to share screens.
  • It'd be nice to have more custom theming options.
  • It'd be nice to have a custom phone number to call into.
Zoom is the perfect tool for connecting dispersed teams that need to meet. It's well suited for situations where you need a recording of the meeting and who attended, but will always fall short of a face to face meeting, as that will always be more personable. Zoom is doing everything right.

Zoom is being used by our division. I'm not sure how I feel about a company with notoriously bad products managing a screen sharing/web conferencing platform, but it's what we have to use. My issues with the company, aside from reputation, is that they're not USA based. This is an issue for some of our verticals that have military spec applications.
  • Web conferencing.
  • Video conferencing.
  • Collaboration.
  • Not US Based. Phone support is nearly non-existent.
  • Product is not up to featureset with GoToMeeting/Webex.
  • Not the most cost-effective solution.
If you need quick collaboration, the product is fantastic. However, I do not recommend it long term due to the fact that it is not U.S. based, and the light feature set doesn't often incorporate all the things that we need for our business. This coupled with military requirements make this a set-up that doesn't often work out well.

We purchased Zoom because of issues that we ran into when trying to host large video conferences with GoToMeeting. Our existing GoToMeeting would allow more than 8 people to be visible on the screen when video conferencing, which was essential for the type of meetings we were holding. While that is the main reason we purchased it, we have really been using it as another conference line for client calls and the occasional screen share. While it has been adopted by some people, it isn't widely used by everyone because we also have regular conference lines and a GoToMeeting account which people are more comfortable using. I use it exclusively because it is easier to use and allows for multiple people to use it at once, unlike GoToMeeting.
  • Video conferencing with large groups of people.
  • Multiple conference lines.
  • Screen sharing.
  • Personal meeting rooms.
  • Ability to share multiple monitors.
Zoom is great for any type of meeting you might have, including video conferencing, screen sharing, or just a conference line. I like how regardless if you enter a participant ID, you can see who is called into the conference. It has great features that make hosting the meetings easy. There is also no limit on the number of meetings that you can hold at the same time. This has helped my company avoid double-booking conference lines.

My company uses Zoom to connect with other employees as well as clients and potential clients. It solves our problem of remote working and global distance projects. No longer are we bound to a brick and mortar desk but instead, we can work from the airport, the DMV, etc. Zoom makes the experience flawless.
  • Reliability.
  • Clear audio and video.
  • Multi-user support.
  • Explore things like automatic face tracking (Compared to Facebook Portal).
  • Background noise cancelation.
  • Simplifying user preference section.
I want to start by saying that I love Zoom because the service and experience is beyond perfect every single time. It's reliable. I can have a client on the phone where they need to visually see something and within minutes I can be walking them through a pitch or invoice as if I right next to them.

We use Zoom for all our conferencing needs. As a company that works with a lot of remote engineers, our product team uses Zoom extensively to communicate with our development teams in different countries.
  • Conferencing with > 2 guests.
  • A plethora of options (screen share, AV controls).
  • A free version that blows Skype out of the water.
  • An auto-note taking feature that they're working on would be great.
  • Having social shares for meeting invites could be useful, rather than just the email and share URL feature.
  • Having embeddable options for meetings that can take place within one's own website would be quite useful from a B2B perspective.
It's great for conferencing flexibility (you can control the default start state, with video and audio on or off, and attendee permissions). It's not ideal for web conferencing in a browser just yet, where Hangouts still seems to be a tad superior.

We use Zoom for internal and external communication. We have our internal meetings to map out our plans for different sales and marketing campaigns. We also use it to host discovery calls with potential clients.
  • It is very robust. I don't have to worry about it closing abruptly.
  • The video and audio quality is really good.
  • It allows for a whole lot of people to jump on a call simultaneously.
  • You do have to download a piece of software to get it set up. Sometimes less technical folks have a hard time getting the initial set up wrong. This causes a little delay in starting calls.
It is great for internal communication. You can even host webinars through Zoom. Webinars are a bit limited though.

My company is a communications company and we serve a publicly-traded association. This entity holds a series of board meetings and technical commissions with participants in various Brazilian capitals. Zoom's system has enabled quality remote participation from these executives without having to travel to the city where the meeting takes place.
  • Audio processing quality.
  • Video processing quality.
  • Good interaction possibilities between participants.
  • Good chat tools.
  • It would be great if upon entering the videoconference, the participant was asked to enter a name first. Sometimes you enter the name of the phone or tablet device.
I recommend Zoom for conferences and meetings with either few or many participants. It is a very interactive tool. It enables screen sharing and chat messages. Its major differential is the quality of audio and video processing. It also allows phone calls only. Other similar programs fail to deliver such good quality. We used it for over 2 years and a few times the connection has dropped. Not as necessary if meeting participants do not have a camera, nor will they share documents that require visual interaction.

We use it within the Accelerator (a collection of startup products). We use it as an alternative to WebEx and other conferencing tools when we can. It solves our need for dependable voice, video and screen sharing during remote calls.
  • Excellent call quality
  • Excellent video quality
  • Good plugins/extensions for things like a calendar.
  • Nothing really! They've got it covered and do it well. They integrate with all manner of voice systems, including SIP.
It works particularly well for any calls with fewer than 20 people. I have used it on that scale and rarely run into problems of any kind. It might have issues above that number, but I can't say.

We use Zoom as our video conferencing platform internally and with clients. We previously used GoToMeeting, but found that Zoom was a superior experience and a better product. Over time we have been proven right, as the advancements and features in Zoom allow us to scale without changing the account type, and allows us to do more. The idea of face to face communication, on any device, is a big problem solved.
  • High quality video.
  • Cloud storage of recordings.
  • Google Calendar integration.
  • HD video.
  • Less customer mail about things we already know.
  • Better support for small business users. Email and chat isn't always the best route.
  • Better multi-monitor support.
Mobile devices, on WiFi or LTE, have great experiences with Zoom on iPhones and iPads. It's not good in loud places without a headset, so auto-mute of background noise or filtering of background audio would be helpful. These loud environments lead to noise on the call, and not everyone on calls knows how to Mute. Making muting easier and more easily identified would be a big plus.

Zoom is used at multiple levels within the organization. For our main purpose, Zoom is used across the board in Conference Rooms for our main tenant. These "Zoom Rooms" provide a consistent way for meetings to happen remotely as well as wireless presentation sharing (either remotely or from the same people in the room).
  • Consistent video and audio experience.
  • Reliability of connection.
  • Great wireless presentation experience.
  • Zoom requires the download of software (or an app on mobile devices); not all remote participants can (or want to) download the necessary software.
  • Sound/video quality can degrade if connection is poor.
  • Requires an iPad; would be great if the same set up could be done with a MIMO monitor or another cheaper solution.
Zoom is well suited for meetings that have multiple participants from around the world. Zoom provides multiple points of entry, including from a mobile or desktop device, or just dialing in from a phone line.

Zoom may not be as appropriate for trainings or demonstrations that need to happen in person so participants can have hands-on experience.

Zoom is a very nice web meeting similar to Webex with almost all the features that you need. It is quite easy to use and share screens. It is quite useful for technical support, internal and external meetings. It also works fine with different browsers and different devices. Starting and joining a meeting is fairly easy.
  • Easy to join.
  • Easy to share.
  • Make it a little more easy for users to find available functions/features.
It is very useful to communicate with your co-workers who work remotely. Also, it's very useful for technical support with different vendors. For people who are familiar with Webex but not very familiar with Zoom can get used to it quite easily.

We use Zoom to connect with others outside of our organization since we cannot use Skype for Business to do so.

I love the simplicity of Zoom and the features it has.
  • Very simple to use and setup
  • Zoom allows recording which is great
  • Integration with Outlook, different browsers and mobile is a given but still very useful and handy
  • Possibility to have breakout sessions
  • Possibility for others to test their machine before hand when sending an outlook invite.
  • I would update the overall look and feel of the icons and interface to have it more upscale.
When you want to setup a call quickly and Skype For Business is not an option, Zoom is definitely the way to go for its simplicity and effectiveness.

If you are wanting something a bit more upscale, Zoom may come across as "cheap" but again, it gets the job done and in my opinion is better than other tools such as webex.

Zoom is used by our Sales, CS, and Executive teams to communicate with clients, vendor partners, and potential customers. We regularly need to do video conferencing where we can see faces, do screen shares, and record calls in a way that makes it easy to share the recording with others later.
  • I appreciate that you have many options for what is being shared and how the viewer experiences it when you do a screen share.
  • The video recording quality is good, and allows us to essentially make a training or demo video in the process of doing a call.
  • The scheduling Chrome extension makes it easy to turn a calendar event into a Zoom meeting.
  • On calls, audio quality can be bad, and we have spent time trying to fix it when time is short. It's rare, but it probably happens once a month.
  • Occasionally I will join a Zoom event on my calendar and be added to a "room" where I am the only person. I'll then get an email from other attendees who say they are logged into the meeting and can't see/hear me.
  • There are a lot of pop-ups that seem unnecessary when I just want to join and leave my calls smoothly.
Zoom works well for demos, trainings, and any situation where audio and video sharing are equally important. However, I have seen it struggle at volume. With 20+ people on a call, the icons indicating whether a person has audio/video enabled are sometimes incorrect. The app says the person's computer audio is muted, but I can clearly hear them. In sum, It is best with intimate groups who are collaborating and every attendee is a participant.

Zoom is the primary online meeting software that we use. Zoom allows the organization to easily set up meetings where everyone can join with a simple link. The connection is mostly uninhibited, allowing for clear communication. It is easy to record, share screens, and do remote control access, which is very helpful when communicating with customers to debug issues.
  • Screen share.
  • Audio.
  • Remote control.
  • Meeting configurations can be different among meeting rooms.
  • The leave meeting button could be more accessible.
  • Computer audio doesn't seem to work.
Zoom is great for hosting meetings because it allows for easy room setup and joining, as well as clear audio and the ability to share and record. It is also very good for being able to remotely access other computers through a simple portal through Zoom. This is very helpful for our business, as it allows us to debug issues that the customer is facing.

We implemented Zoom as a replacement for Webex. We also have plans to replace our existing Skype for Business chat functionality and will be working with Zoom in the near future to pilot the cloud PBX functionality.
  • Ease of use for the desktop client
  • Zoom rooms could not be easier.
  • Chat features are strong and easy to understand and use
  • Hmmmm - not many areas honestly. One improvement we've noticed that sometimes the chat features are not available when in a meeting (you can chat as part of the meeting, but not to people outside of the meeting)
  • We have had a few (many less than Webex) disconnections from ongoing meetings. Typically this is explainable due to connectivity issues with the client.
  • Zoom rooms (super easy - require little to no user training)
  • Zoom chat. quickly allowing people a single app to manage conf calls along with chat, screen sharing and it even comes with fun gifs :)
  • Zoom client - easy to join meetings, schedule adhoc video calls from any device anywhere
  • Mobile client is easy to use and provides a consistent user experience (which is the most important...)
  • the zoom product is robust and doesn't change the user interface on a weekly bases which keeps our users happy!

Zoom is being used to host recurring meetings with global stakeholders in cross-functional teams. Meetings are focused on customer strategy and key initiatives for our business. The video and phone capabilities eliminate the struggles of a standard conference call.
  • Sharing one screen in presentation mode, while allowing you to reference other documents without being visible in the meeting
  • One-click sign-in capabilities make joining meetings easy while travelling
  • Recurring meetings are easy to schedule with Zoom membership plans
  • Zoom requires downloading the Zoom software, which takes a few minutes on the first meeting
  • Plan options are somewhat confusing. I had to review multiple times before figuring out the bare minimum plan required to host a recurring meeting.
  • Expensive when adding on items in addition to basic plan.
Well suited to host group meetings where you can present one screen and reference other documents on your laptop without everyone in the meeting seeing your full desktop. Customization options make some plan options complicated and can be overwhelming.

We are a company of a full Zoom use. We use it to allow us to view and control user desktops, presentations for departments, and as a vendor communication tool. We also use Zoom for telehealth communication between a provider and patient. It allows us to support our members, customers, and co-workers with better communication management.
  • Viewing others' desktops in a full screen or minimized.
  • Multiple people can discuss in a meeting at one time. Allows remote controls for presentation host control
  • Allows a member/patient to speak to a provider or doctor without having to come into the office if unable to.
  • Customer interactions are able to put a face to the name.
  • Easier connectivity in email product.
  • Zoom Room setup could be simpler.
  • Wish the camera could not pickup objects in background.
Zoom works perfect for supervisor/staff communication. Allowing Zoom in a private setting or not acceptable locations is not always the best or recommended, depending on how easy it is for the group to see the background of a person using it in (like when they're in the bathroom... and yes, we have had this scenario happen).

  • Connect people with various levels of IT service to each other.
  • Web-based information-sharing meetings.
  • Share files and documents for presentation.
  • Some of the features block out screen space that could otherwise be used for presentation.
  • Certain products, particularly with 3rd party sound/video peripherals, can be difficult to connect.

To be honest, Earlier we were using Cisco WebEx as a collaboration tool and after 15+ years we noticed WebEx is having fewer features and limitations of VOIP services. We thought to check for different options, tried using GoToMeeting and Zoom. We found Zoom superior. We started with 5 Zoom accounts and received good feedback from all of our stakeholders.
  • Great Audio/Video quality over lower bandwidth.
  • Allows multiple methods to join call, VOIP, Call me, Toll Free and Toll Numbers.
  • Easy to use tool and simplicity helps do meetings better.
  • Various reporting methods also help to identify utilization, effectiveness and MIS presentation for better utilization and allocation of Zoom licenses.
  • Recent security threat with Mac getting affected with an auto camera and meeting join. Zoom should be more proactive on these threats as Zoom has a really bright future. We recommend it to our clients.
  • Zoom support for India.
  • Keep a proactive approach when the OS on various platform upgrades: Mac, Windows, the Zoom versions or desktop and calendar integration tool should be tested for errors and functionality. Sometimes we have seen this need time as we follow with the dev team to rectify some early errors on new versions.
It is suited for current business needs since seemingly everyone needs to stay connected.
