It is just being used by me currently, but it is a wonderful edition. Since I work from home, it helps connect me for meetings easily across multiple environments. I can send people a link, and they don't have to have an account to connect with me. It is more reliable than other meeting softwares. I can also record the meeting.
  • Virtual Meetings
  • Quality video
  • Quality Sound
  • Meeting Recordings
  • When scheduling a meeting, it has a different URL than the one assigned to you. I would like them to be the same.
Zoom is perfect for virtual environments. It's great for meetings where you need to be on video, but maybe the attendees don't have to be seen. You can choose to mute the attendees (so helpful!!) instead of having to say, "Can everyone mute, please?" You can record your meeting, and the meeting can be any length that you choose with no cutoffs. I can't think of a scenario where it wouldn't be useful.

Zoom makes it convenient and easy to have meetings “face to face” with clients all over the country as well as internationally. You can convene anytime and virtually anywhere. We use Zoom for our work meeting, to include those who are traveling so that they can also make the work meeting remotely. Zoom also makes it easy for Clients to have a quick one on one meeting when they want interaction face to face rather than traveling to location. It is easy to invite those you'd like to attend and they are able to call in or video in which makes it even easier.
  • Also for meeting across all barriers
  • Easy to use and invite others to join you from all ove.
  • Being able to have access to face to face interaction without having to be face to face
  • It’s sometimes difficult to know when and how to mute without removing the videos etc.
Zoom lets you be able to have face to face interaction, is good for meetings during the day or night, and fights issues with time zones and distance.

We use Zoom for two main purposes: 1) to connect with sales leads, and 2) to hold meetings with clients. About 75% of our use of Zoom is our sales representatives (including Sales Development Representatives and Business Developers) connecting with leads and holding qualification appointments. The other 25% of our use is our client teams (including project managers, account managers, and production leads) holding client meetings and workshops.

We’ve found that in-person meetings are best for building relationships with sales leads and clients, but about 60% of our leads and clients are from out of state, so in-person meetings are not possible. Zoom is the tool we use to solve this problem – although it’s more challenging to build rapport and connect over a video call, the efficiency and access to out-of-state markets and clients is more than worth it.

The other business problem that Zoom solves for us is training. We record almost every sales and client meeting, and use the recorded sessions to train new Sales Development Representatives, Business Developers, Project Managers, Account Managers, and Production Leads.
  • I’ve tried many different video call products (Google Hangouts, appear.in, Uber Conference), and Zoom has been significantly higher-quality and more reliable. I very rarely have a call drop or have trouble with hearing people on Zoom calls.
  • Zoom has recently released a Chrome extension, which is a super convenient way to quickly start and schedule meetings. I enjoyed appear.in for this reason, but the quality was too low. This is valuable for me as a project manager - I am able to quickly schedule Zoom meetings without leaving my current workflow (i.e. I can stay in Google Drive, Hubspot, Google Calendar, Gmail, or wherever else I am working and easily schedule a Zoom call).
  • Zoom’s “breakout room” feature is hugely valuable for the interactive client workshops we run. You can easily split multiple users into separate breakout rooms, then easily re-combine all participants back together in real time. I use this feature to facilitate design thinking workshops.
  • I use Zoom’s “copy the invitation” feature many times a day – I have very rarely had people I’m connecting with have any trouble joining the call, because the invitation has all of the information they need to easily connect, regardless of whether they are connecting by computer or by phone.
  • Zoom has a LOT of functionality that I’ve never used (Polling, Whiteboard, Remote Control, et cetera). These features are buried within the “Settings” screens in Zoom. I think they could do a better job of suggesting features to users – perhaps giving little pop-ups or some kind of onboarding guide to show additional functionality of Zoom.
  • I don’t like that you have to download the Zoom app on your computer to use it. It is a fairly clunky user experience compared with some of the other solutions on the market (e.g. appear.in allows you to create and join a meeting right from the URL bar).
  • I wish Zoom had more integration capabilities. I have started using the integration with Google Calendar and really like it. I would like more options to integrate the Zoom calls – especially 1) an automatic “save to Google Drive” (rather than just to Zoom or just to my computer), and 2) integrations with transcription services (e.g. Otter.ai) to easily create transcriptions from meetings.
Great use case: If you hold multiple meetings (5+) every week with people that you can’t easily meet in person (e.g. if you do a lot of business over the phone), Zoom is worth the price.

Great use case: If you regularly do presentations (slide decks, videos, pitches) over the phone or video call, Zoom makes this process very simple (screen-sharing, whiteboarding, chatting).

Great use case: If you expect people to either call in or join by a computer in the same meeting, Zoom makes it really easy to combine people joining by phone and computer.

Bad use case: If you only do a few phone or video calls a week, you’d probably be okay with a free solution like Google Hangouts (not worth paying for the additional Zoom features).

Bad use case: If you have to share lots of files back and forth throughout a meeting, I prefer using a third-party solution WHILE I’m on the Zoom call (i.e. I will share files via Slack or email while I’m on Zoom, rather than use Zoom’s file share feature).

We use Zoom to communicate with partner schools in other towns as well as conduct our hiring interviews with potential staff working in other time zones or other countries.
  • Zoom does multi-party calling very well.
  • Zoom enables the sharing of documents and media well.
  • Zoom does a great job of organizing the location and time zones of callers.
  • The user interface is not particularly smooth.
  • It does take getting used to i.e. the jumping of screens with audio.
Zoom is a great application when conferencing with teams who have previous experience with Zoom, but due to the breadth of competition, many people we conference with who are new to Zoom take a while getting used to the system.

Zoom is used across the company. It has become our primary means of communication besides Slack. All meetings always have Zoom meetings associated with them so anyone remote can join. We also use Zoom Rooms which has really simplified conference room scheduling and setup. This tool has become critical to our organization.
  • Zoom rooms. Easy setup and integration. Always on and always works. Has greatly increased collaboration
  • Video. The video quality is great and has made all communication much more personal with video
  • Google Calendar integration. Very easy to integrate into workflows and assign directly via Google Calendar etc.
  • Looking forward to seeing where Zoom goes with their new phone service. If it is as good as Zoom, we'll soon be a customer of that as well
Very well suited for any organization looking to make communications more personal. It integrates well with a number of vendors such as Slack and GSuite and can easily become an organization's default communication tool. It is also well suited for companies performing demos or support as it is easy to use and gives users a much better experience with video and screen sharing.

We use Zoom daily for screen shares and product demonstrations. It allows us to have a conversation around the platform that we sell, show our platform with features on a call, and allow our prospects to share their screens as well to help understand why they are considering at our platform. Our sales and customer success teams both use Zoom.
  • Easy to screen share both ways.
  • You can annotate and place markers on the screen as well which make it easy-to-follow and guide prospects through the user experience.
  • Quick and easy to access.
  • Sometimes the call quality can go in and out.
  • There have been issues where the Zoom link didn't work for the prospect.
  • I'd like to be able to set a minimum time for recordings. Sometimes the call doesn't show, but I automatically receive a recording email even though the call didn't happen.
Zoom has been a great solution for our sales team. It is best utilized when going through a product demonstration, a technical review call, or any conference call where remote members need to join. It has been nice when organizing a meeting to be able to send a single shared link and have everyone join.

My organization has used Zoom across multiple departments to make video conference calls with customers and remote employees. In addition, it has been used for user testing with users we have recruited across the internet in order to test out prototypes. Zoom seems to work great and has been a reliable tool we can use.
  • Zoom lets you host meetings.
  • It's easy to connect to a call.
  • You can share your screen.
  • Sometimes the video call quality is spotty, even with a great wifi connection.
  • The chat can be a little difficult to find if you've minimized your Zoom window.
Zoom is great for setting up quick conference calls with customers and partners. Since it's a communication tool, it's hard to imagine a scenario where it wouldn't be appropriate. Though, I suppose it's always better to chat in person if possible. It also doesn't work well if you or the person you are trying to contact have a poor internet connection.

We use Zoom for a couple of situations at our institution. As an educational institution, of course, our primary use of Zoom is in the classroom. We use Zoom for courses that are exclusively online. This allows our students to participate synchronously from anywhere. We also use it as a backup for classes that are canceled due to weather. Being in Michigan, this happens a few times per year. Beyond the classroom, we use Zoom for staff to communicate internally and externally.
  • Video quality.
  • Audio quality.
  • Understanding the needs of its users.
  • Zoom has grown up, and it's time to start seeing better integrations, especially with Google.
  • As Zoom grows, I feel like they are still a bit understaffed. It takes a bit longer than it should take to get responses.
  • The chat app is good, but it could use some attention to make it more solid.
Zoom has been especially useful for us in the classroom. Unlike so many of its competitors, one hardly experiences jitter or lag in connections. This always makes regular users nervous. It's far less of a concern with Zoom. We have also successfully conducted oral examinations for degrees (Master's Thesis Defense, etc) and it has been a good experience for everyone involved; plus you get the recording.

We are a boutique public relations agency, and we use Zoom to communicate with clients in all industries (banking, mining, government, academia, retail, startups, etc.) and suppliers (SEO companies, content providers, our external accountant, marketing communications agencies, etc.). It is used across our whole organization, which is small: just 4 people.
  • Zoom is great for setting up meetings quickly and easily.
  • Time from first click to being in the meeting space is very fast.
  • Audio and video quality are excellent.
  • I think it is perfect. I can't think of anything it needs to improve on.
Zoom is a Skype-killer, in my opinion. It is appropriate in any kind of scenario where you need to communicate with someone that is not on-site with you. You can send someone a link to a meeting room, and their login process is quick and painless, and requires no learning curve. The first time I used Zoom it was because a frequent user sent me a link, and I was pleased with how quickly I was able to get into a meeting and use the software.

Zoom is very effective in my graduate study. I present my work to my colleagues through Zoom. I always join different webinars by using the Zoom software. I can also share my documents through Zoom. The quality of the video conferencing is excellent. I also joined multiple interviews with Zoom. I strongly recommend using Zoom for video conferencing.
  • Video conference.
  • Collaboration.
  • Sharing files.
  • A little bit Slow.
  • More functionality needed.
  • Sound quality is not that good.
If you have a large group of people for video conferencing, then Zoom is the best option for you. In that case, Video quality will be better with reasonable sound quality. If you want one to one interviews, then other software is available that will be fruitful. Overall, I liked Zoom when presenting my work to the audience.

Zoom is used as our Team conference line service. We use it for both internal meetings and also for client calls. It is used by the Strategic Services Team, mainly. It is our Primary Conference line tool at this time.
  • Integrates with Outlook Calendar for scheduling calls.
  • Offers a screenshare/ video call option.
  • Offers a telephone line (+ international #s) along with computer audio option.
  • Offers the ability to annotate on calls.
  • Offers the ability to record calls.
  • Can log meeting to prevent ppl from joining.
  • Screenshare is sometimes glitchy.
  • Having a Zoom meeting open freezes up my computer. Outlook inbox/ calendar will not load when Zoom is running.
  • The telephone audio is sometimes crunchy and hard to hear.
Zoom is well suited for:
-CSMs trying to lead video calls
-conference lines where many folks are joining
-CSMs who want to conduct screenshares with their contacts
-teammates working together
-visual aids
Zoom might not be the best suited for:
-situations where more than one person needs to present at the same time
-situations where more then one person needs to conduct the "annotate" at the same time
-those without a phone or computer access
-those on spotty wifi (poor connection)
Zoom is likely not well suited for those who are hearing or visually impaired. I am not aware of any tools that can assist this base.

Zoom is a video conferencing tool. It allows you to host sessions with cloud-based software. I use it for a number of different ways. I can host training sessions online with teammates who work remotely. I will also use it with clients to discuss buying and marketing strategy. I use the free version.
  • Video conferencing.
  • HD quality.
  • Recordings and transcripts are available.
  • Video on smartphones is spotty.
  • Limited use of tools when on mobile.
  • Audio is choppy on a smartphone.
Video conferencing is a great sales and marketing tool. Although my preference is to do in-house listing presentations, it can be effective when your clients live out of state or if their schedules make in-home visits difficult to plan. I can get clients online, provide them with the marketing presentation and discuss strategy and service without having to leave my home or office.

Half of our 300 employees work remotely, and Zoom provides a bridge for all of them to be connected to our home office in Texas. The call clarity of Zoom is really where it shines, and there's no close comparison. Being able to have a natural conversation with any coworker around the world and not have to stumble through glitches, audio interruptions, pauses, and breakups, is wonderful. This video conferencing tool has done wonders to connect our global staff.

It is the main technology we use for one to one calls, group meetings, and also large organization-wide broadcasts from our leadership.
  • Call clarity is unmatched in the industry.
  • Integrations with many popular platforms like Slack, etc.
  • Did I mention call clarity?
  • Zoom has a huge amount of options and settings available to the user, and it can be difficult sometimes to find the setting you're looking for.
Anyone needing to have online video conference calls with individuals or groups should consider Zoom. No one else in the industry even comes close.

We use Zoom daily for all our meetings with clients, coworkers and offsite meetings. Our entire commercial department is using Zoom for all external meetings as well. At the moment, our other departments don't use Zoom. It helps us present videos and content across the country in real time,
  • Allows video to view our clients.
  • The collaboration tools are easy to use.
  • Able to mute clients with background noise.
  • Zoom was down a few weeks ago and caused severe headaches for our organization. We had to reschedule the meeting, which hindered the sales process.
  • There is a delay with the audio and mute buttons, which can be frustrating.
  • Sound quality can be poor at times as well.
Zoom has allowed my team to collaborate throughout the country easily. We can share screens, view content and faces in real time. What Zoom could work on is being more reliable during business hours. Their outage cost our company serious issues which we are not sure if we will recover.

Zoom is an essential tool for us at KeyedIn seeing as we use it to bring together our organization on several different levels. On the internal level, KeyedIn is an organization that has employee's scattered all throughout the world we need a tool that can help us communicate and be able to collaborate. On the external level, it's a great tool for us to meet with clients and have a meeting place where there are no requirements except a simple meeting address.
  • Its ease of use is incredible. This helps us with clients and internal use.
  • The whiteboard feature and recording features are so seamless and we constantly find ourselves using it.
  • The settings are very easily adjustable and help us when accommodating a large number of individuals.
  • We've found that the audio is incredible because of the individual connection required.
  • Also, we love the ease of integrations with other products such as Google calendar.
  • It does have a simple interface where it could use a facelift.
  • There can be some confusion when scheduling meetings because of the integration with Google calendar.
  • I've had access denied on several occasions where I'm not the "host" of my own meeting so I'm unable to record. A technical error but nonetheless a problem we've had to work around.
Zoom is perfectly equipped to handle internal and external meetings. The settings that they have built-in make it so simple to adjust and have exactly the type of meeting you'd like to have. The video feature is incredible where you can interact as well as the screen-share feature. We have only run into a few problems with Zoom on the recording aspect of it so maybe consider have a separate recording running.

Zoom is used across our entire organization. Everyone uses the software for teleconferencing, webinars and technical support cases.
  • Ease of install/use. The software is very lightweight and runs on all major platforms. It’s easy for even non-technical people to start a meeting.
  • There are international dial-in numbers, which is especially helpful for overseas clients.
  • We find that the software provides a lot of value for the price that we are paying per seat, especially since the video and call quality far outranks others we’ve used.
  • We would love pin-less dial-in numbers like some competitors have.
  • A no download/web client would be useful.
  • I’d love to be able to better customize the meet ID we give our clients (make it the company name Instead of a string of numbers).
Zoom is very well suited to smaller organizations as it lacks more of the enterprise level features that clients such as WebEx have. However, for small and medium-sized companies, the software includes all the features you need at an attractive price point.

Zoom is currently being used by all internal employees that may have a need for a conference line. This is through support, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, etc. We are an international company, and it provides an easy way to communicate with others (customers or employees) remotely. Zoom is very user-friendly and easy to use.
  • Scheduling through calendars. Zoom has a direct integration for Outlook, Gmail, etc. So having a personal conference line and a direct integration with my email provider makes me never have to actually log in to Zoom to set up a meeting.
  • Controls are super friendly and easy to understand. Doesn't matter who the host is, granting access for all users is vital.
  • Recording. The record feature is beneficial if you need to get shared information out after the meeting. it also compresses the file so it's not huge.
  • The UI hasn't had an update in a few years, so a refresh would be nice.
  • One issue is the conference line associated with the "Zoom" doesn't always work. So making it easy to create a new conference line would be great.
  • Zoom can be buggy when it's connected to a camera or conference room. Some words just automatically turn on Zoom and turn it into a meeting when that's not needed.
Zoom is a great option for any size business if conference lines or video conferencing is needed. It's fairly cheap for the basic user, and the pricing scales well when you move into the enterprise. I prefer Zoom compared to some of the premium models because of the support line. Zoom does a fantastic job taking care of us across org and is readily available to help. Some of the cheaper options I've tried and tested and the support is basic email, or long support waiting times.

Zoom was part of our daily meetings within my organization. We used it to do content sharing and video conferencing.
  • The quality of voice and video is really good.
  • You can control the attendees by keeping the admin settings on (mute all attendees/raise hands for questions etc).
  • Screen controlling should be more efficient and faster.
  • Easy doodling should be available.
Zoom is well suited for setting up a multi-user conference. It is easy to send the meeting invite through email.

We use Zoom to host internal meetings since our company is fully remote. We also use Zoom to have meetings with clients which allows our consultants to reduce their travel while still engaging face to face with clients. It solves the problem of having to be physically in the same room with each other to have face to face meetings.
  • Allows us to see facial expressions and mannerisms.
  • Easy access to screen sharing which can either be one specific app/window or your whole desktop.
  • Love the ability to record meetings.
  • Recorded meetings show one speaker at a time so you can't see everyone's face.
  • Teams don't have access to recordings of meetings unless the host actually shares it (which they sometimes forget to do).
  • In screen share mode, I wish you could still see the grid of faces, not just a few at a time.
Zoom is easy to use and makes video conferencing very easy. It's ideal for people who have access to high-speed internet and a good, quiet place to take calls. It is not ideal for people with slow internet as there is a lot of "you froze, what did you say", or people who have hectic backgrounds.

The program is used daily by the studio for communication between employees working remotely or with clients. It is used to organize private online meetings to discuss short-term tasks or large conferences while involving employees and clients in the creative process.
  • It's a simple, easy meeting setup application.
  • A basic plan (free) has almost everything for personal usage, and for business, there are several advanced plans.
  • Good connections even from mobile carriers.
  • Has a nice chat with GIFs.
  • There is a weak audio/image control in it. It had to mute the audio and to make the video brighter.
  • Not excellent sound filtration. Sometimes the participants could hear themselves and it was confusing.
  • Need to install the app.
  • Only the host could record sound, but it could be hard to start conference because the host could have hardware issues, and the conference is postponed to change host.
It has several plans to use the app. The basic plan is good for personal or indie team's usage. Although meetings have 40 minutes duration, sometimes it could be good for efficiency. Pro plans offer advanced features like API. I can say these plans could be enough for connections between 2-20 participants using all platforms (PC, Mac, Linux, iOs, Android).

As a SaaS company, the need for meetings with screen share is a must. Zoom allows me to host meetings with clients and prospects to connect and share my screen to show them the technology.
  • Zoom makes it super easy to share my computer screen to conference participants.
  • Integration with Google calendar makes it simple to book meetings.
  • Mobile compatibility is excellent.
  • Meeting participants will need to download the Zoom plugin in order to join a meeting.
Zoom is well suited for people in sales who require screen share capabilities or just need to bring multiple people together on one call.

We used Zoom within our department for our daily meetings. We used to have another product that we use for our communication but we had to renew the license and at that time Zoom was a cheaper and better option for us. During these meetings, we would go through our presentations.
  • Quick and easy to use interface
  • The ability to share the screen
  • Recording the meetings
  • The free version allows only 40 minutes of video conferencing
  • Sometimes glitches occur during the video conferences
  • The technical support needs to be improved
With the screen sharing feature, we share our presentations with our colleagues. This helps us to receive feedback when we are not in the office and is convenient for everyone.

We use Zoom to deliver live online training & mentoring programs to our students and clients.
  • Rock solid/reliable.
  • Demands relatively low bandwidth. Works great even on slow connections (in those cases with SD video).
  • Ability to pause/unpause video recording during the session. Also, the ability to stop a recording and start a new one, thus being able to create separate recordings during the same session. Exports both the video and audio files of the recording. All of the above minimize the time you have to spend editing the recordings.
  • Lots of customization features.
  • The webinar registration pages are very basic and the ability to customize them is limited.
Zoom works great for any scenario where you have to deliver online presentations as well as in consulting/coaching/training sessions.

Our team is split across 3 locations, so it was always a challenge to organize meetings. We switched to Zoom close to two years ago for this, and it solved our problems perfectly. You schedule a meeting and send everyone invites. It integrates with Outlook so all those invites come with a calendar attachment. I really love the simple, easy to use interface of Zoom. It is also really easy to join meetings. We have used it to set up meetings from multiple locations and can't remember the last time someone couldn't join it.

It also works really well even if your internet speed is slow. Some of our staff members work from remote locations with not the best internet speed, and it still worked perfectly with clear audio and video under those conditions.

The collaboration tools built in are really useful too.

Overall it's a really well-rounded software with a ton of features.
  • The user interface is really easy to navigate.
  • Outlook integration is excellent.
  • Works well even with slow internet speed.
  • Good collaboration tools
  • I would like to see more reasonably priced dial in numbers for other countries.
It is the perfect virtual meeting software. So if you have team meetings that happen with team members across multiple sites, then this is perfect.

You can also use it for sales pitches and presentations.

I wouldn't use it for calling purposes. Skype is still better there.
