Compared to its competitors, Zoom is more cost-effective, as well as simpler to install and use. It's also more reliable, as Google Meet's call quality has been poor for meetings larger than one-on-one. Even Microsoft Teams has a Zoom plug-in for teams to use. I chose Zoom, so I could test it and hear the other person.

Zoom has been very useful throughout the last year I'm a pastor, and when Covid first hit and everything shut down, our leadership needed to be able to meet together to process and make plans, even when we weren't allowed to meet together in person. So we used Zoom. Some of our church's classes and Bible studies have met over Zoom when they couldn't meet in person.

Zoom is a high-performing video conferencing app [that] is a good option for conferencing meetings. It has all the options that a normal user needs from such an application. But here are some pros that other software offer which Zoom lacks:1. Skype for example has a web client which you can use without downloading an app, 2. Slack offers better support for software developers and code sharing, and 3. Webex is easier to join meetings.

I used to use Skype before Zoom. Zoom's robust and quality features are not available in Skype. Zoom is a video conferencing solution that maintains advanced online collaboration features while improving video quality. It has made it possible for me to continue my work as a professional because my clients feel more comfortable sharing. It has helped me grow my clientele.

Zoom has [a] smooth interface and gives a profile creating option for each user. I have faced entering problems while using Google Hangouts Meet several times. Sometimes I am unable to talk in the Google Hangouts Meet due to its technical issue. Zoom has given me solutions for these problems. That is why I have selected Zoom.

I don't like social media for recording pieces of training because they don't have a good share feature. Zoom is superior in the ways you can share your screen, video, and your phone. Plus being able to have filters and backgrounds makes things look more professional. I would choose Zoom again and again for all the ways that you can share your screen.

Zoom To The Rescue

Zoom's more cost-effective compared to the competitors. Initially, Zoom also offers a free option for the first 40 minutes of use. Zoom is easier to install and implement compared to other competitors. Even Microsoft Teams offers a Zoom plug-in to allow for Teams to access Zoom. Though competitors like WebEx & GoToMeeting have been around longer and used by the business world, they were more complex to learn. But Zoom is very simple and straightforward.

Zoom is much more reliable, and the call quality on Google Meet has been less than great for any meeting more than 1-on-1. I chose Zoom because I could try that it would work and that I could hear the other person. It's easier and simpler to use. Zoom wins.

Skype seems to not work all of the time. Zoom works. Skype requires each person to have an account, whereas Zoom can be accessed by meeting attendees without an account. Polycom is so expensive and the equipment is proprietary. We had a lot of outages when using Polycom and many technical issues.

Zoom is well known and widely used application so most of the users are already familiar with their interface. Because of that it's easy to use a popular application like Zoom as the learning curve is very low. Scheduling meetings and inviting people also very easy steps and there's no way you could get lost in between.

Zoom has more features in comparison to other platforms like Google Hangouts Meet, Cisco Webex, and other similar platforms like those. These features include local system recording, live streaming (multistreaming), chat (private/public), and pricing. Zoom is a native app and requires low bandwidth, even when you use your videos and screen share.

Zoom has all the same tools and more, all for a better price. I would highly recommend Zoom!

For the price, you can't get things like remote access (where the presenter changes), have whiteboards, and everything else Zoom has to offer. The main difference beyond price is the recordings. Zoom's recordings come in an mp4 format which is much easier to use.

Zoom in my opinion is much easier to use than Skype when you get to know the program. The versatility that Zoom gives you is incredible compared to what Skype let you do. Skype is very nice as a video chatting application but when it comes to having more people, [I feel] that's where Zoom sweeps Skype away. The latency inside Skype is awful at times and could really ruin the atmosphere of an important call.

Zoom and Teams both support online meetings, chats, calls, screen sharing, and file sharing, among other capabilities. The main distinction between the two is Microsoft's integration of Teams with its Office 365 suite. Zoom's ability to display up to 49 individuals on one screen is one of its most popular features. On the other hand, Google Meet's tiled layout allows up to 16 individuals to appear on the screen at the same time.

Skype is Windows only, so it's completely unusable for us. It's got poor audio and video quality too. Microsoft Teams, at least on Linux, is incredibly slow. I once timed it--it took 45 seconds from hitting enter in the browser location bar until the Teams channels were usable. Teams video meetings are unstable, laggy, and the sound is always bad. Zoom really shines here.

I think without any doubt Zoom is an amazing application. so there was no question in choosing another product over Zoom. Most of the people use Zoom so people doesn't have to add any tool to run the application

Google Meet compared to Zoom has fewer functions, no whiteboard, no Q&A section, no possibility to grant screen sharing permission to other tools. But instead of it, Google Meet delivered together with other G-Suite products and tools so it has deeper integration possibilities with Google toolkit despite its less functionality.

Major thing is lot of more feature than Skype.
Skype was very heavy on processor as it was heavy, but Zoom is light weight.
Skype use to lags alot, but it is not case with Zoom as it runs very smoothly on any processor.
No expert is required to configure Zoom
Skype was costly than Zoom.
So Zoom is beneficial in most cases than Skype.

Despite the availability of many tools like Zoom on the market, Zoom has made its presence and become the most valuable and loved tool. The tool has all the features that any other tool like this should have and provides a one-stop solution for all the demands any business could possibly have. In general, either screen sharing, recording, chatting, or arranging webinars might be necessary, or you might be able to use your cell phone for your meeting.

I would say that Webex is almost similar to Zoom in regards to the enhancements and usage. The UI of Webex is a bit simpler. Whereas the zoom UI has a lot of information and a first-time user might need some time to get used to it. Zoom is way very inferior to GoToMeeting which doesn't have around 80% of the options that zoom provides.

Zoom is more universally understood and professionally accepted, giving everyone a greater ease of use when connecting with external parties. Most people have Zoom loaded on their work computers and there is very little issue setting calls with Zoom.

We found Zoom as an audio video meeting service / application to be as good or comparable to Webex Meetings. Both have their share of pros and cons. Zoom and Webex were our preferred apps over Microsoft Teams and Slack for a variety of reasons. But in the end, we do not use Microsoft Teams or Slack for meetings due to the lack of features specific to Meetings module.
