I've used many different video conferencing solutions over the years, and Zoom has consistently outperformed other solutions that I've tried. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a reliable and feature-rich video-conferencing platform. The only potential obstacles I can think of are: Zoom hasn't been vetted/approved for use within the organization, and/or the organization relies on Cisco hardware that hasn't been updated for use with Zoom.

We use Zoom to connect with other schools to enrich our learning. The Distance Learning Consortium in Oregon has most of the schools connected in a way that we didn’t have before. I feel our users still think of Zoom in terms of our old legacy video systems. That isn’t a problem with Zoom. We just need to get our user base up to speed better. We plan to implement the domain awareness when we return, and plan to apply strategies we’ve picked up at Zoomtopia.

If you have any remote offices, or if you have any conference rooms that need to be collaborative spaces, Zoom Rooms are a must. They enhance the Zoom product by a significant margin and will really ensure that your users turn on the video and use the tools. Remote employees and WFH employees will feel like they are right there with the rest of their team.

We are only using the desktop tool so far and evidence so far is people just adopt it, use it and have few reasons to contact support.

Most of the support issues are for features that already exist.

I don't feel that Zoom is appropriate in old spaces with poor acoustics. You wouldn't want users to think that Zoom is a back product because of the surroundings. Zoom is excellent for meetings with a few people or an entire room. With the different hardware that you can use to set up a Zoom Room, you are not roped in to certain brand.

Long distance learning sessions are becoming more common and even necessary. As a company, we looked at a minimum of ten solutions. Zoom was the one that came the closest to providing us with all of our needs. One vendor, all solutions. Scheduling, attending, recording meetings are all seamless. Learning curve is minimal for users and presenters. The flexibility is unmatched!

Well suited for running live streams at company party events. I was able to run multiple DTEN displays with our live stream of our product launch and people were impressed at the fact that they did not have to all squeeze to look at one TV. We provided a bigger feeling space for people to enjoy the event live stream.

I have not found any scenario where I would not use Zoom. We use this with all meetings along with integration with our classes. The record feature is the best, so we don't have to manage it on the backside and the instructors are actually in charge if they want Zoom sessions/classes recorded.

Zoom Rooms are a great example of simple setups that just work! Zoom helps collaboration across teams both onsite and offsite with the same ease.

The Zoom app availability across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac platforms means that users can tap in from any device anywhere. Zoom AI is the next big thing we await.

Zoom's main strength is as a video meeting conference solution, where as a stronger chat feature can be found in other products. The webinar feature works well if you are looking to put on a professional meeting. Depending on the organization or company needs, the chat feature may not have all the bells and whistles of other software.

I think generally speaking, Zoom is very well suited in our work environment and in my personal life. I think in an organization like ours where we are 7500 people, where we are in 23 countries Zoom seems to be the best and most reliable fit.

On a personal level, I used Zoom to announce the gender of my child. I had family all across the world using different platforms and also, these people were not very technical. We were able to install and use Zoom and our family watched the announcement.

Zoom is very well suited for most virtual communication needs including small to medium-sized meetings, one-on-one connections, or virtual training. I do not have any scenarios that I would list as less appropriate for Zoom to be utilized.
