Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why
Score 10 out of 10

  • Ease of use for end users.
  • Easy to set up meetings.
  • Recording: Not easy to get to or use recordings of Zoom (i.e. not easy to add the recording as a video in a learning/training object for our LMS)
  • Dial-in option takes too long (most of us do not have microphones or cameras on our PCs).

  • Very easy to follow directions if you have clientele who aren't used to operating digital conference software
  • Great audio and video - especially when hosting numerous different people on different computers in different places
  • Fairly easy rescheduling and scheduling interface
  • I'm not exactly sure what the benefit of "dial by your location" is
  • Screensharing could be improved

  • All sessions that are exercised can be freely recorded with appropriate privacy controls.
  • The connection status of all participants within the room can be reviewed.
  • Working with split screens is easy and useful for viewing information from different viewpoints.
  • Irrelevant of the number of people within a session, or the material used, sessions are arbitrarily closed if there is any kind of problem with the connection.
  • There are not many levels of privacy at which calls can be calibrated.
  • The image tends to freeze even when displayed in adequate quality.

  • Clarity of the sound, image
  • Ease of login
  • Use of chat bar
  • Using it for recording practice interviews and playing back for critiquing, is awkward and kludgy at best. The steps are: Record the session, then END THE MEETING so that Zoom can save the recording. Then get the recording ready to play, then have the client log in AGAIN, you log in AGAIN, share the screen, play the recording.
  • Zoom should make it possible to have the interviewer, especially if the practice interview is recorded, to make themselves SMALL throughout the whole recording so that *the candidate* is the focus on the screen. Neither the Speaker view or the Gallery view does this.
  • There should be a separate timer on Zoom for the recording portion of the screen. I realize I can do this myself manually, but why can’t Zoom do it for me?
  • Zoom needs to have a way to get feedback like this. I could not find a way to give them this feedback on their product, on their site or in the dashboard. All we get is a database that is tone deaf. Nowhere could I find any "Feedback? Click here." Not good.
  • If by these suggestions I’m asking for more functionality, I understand an increased cost. But small companies like mine cannot pay hundreds of dollars a month - please have a very functional version that small firms can still afford. Thank you.

Zoom for Education

  • You can schedule your upcoming meetings and can add those to your calendar, which will remind you before the start of the meeting.
  • You can record your sessions with the free and premium version for later use and for those who missed the session.
  • You can share a specific or whole desktop screen to present your work more effectively.
  • As far as my personal usage is concerned there is not much improvement required but, it needs to offer more recording time for free users.
  • Secondly, there is a need for a new feature using which we can reduce the chance of cheating during online exams.
  • Thirdly, it needs to have a feature that allows specific organizational emails to join a certain meeting for sensitive meetings.

  • Record sessions
  • You can record your calls on your computer or in the cloud.
  • You can have multiple people talking on a call.
  • It would be nice to have "profiles". Both my wife and I use our Zoom account. It would be great to be able to click a button and switch between our display names.
  • Chromecast support would be nice to be able to have the screen and audio casted to a TV using Chromecast.
  • Make it cheaper.

  • Zoom can be work on low internet connectivity. If it gets disconnected then it will automatically re-connect [when there is] low internet connectivity.
  • Zoom has a variety of features like chat with individuals. Zoom has the best screen share feature and another user can remotely control also. Zoom has to raise a hand, yes, [and] no clicks which help participants [be] involved in the meeting and never [become] bored [by] becoming more interactive.
  • Zoom is highly password protected with high security on data. Every user has their personal participant IDs.
  • There is [a] host and co-host [function] during [a] meeting. They can mute all [participants] at one time, and stop anyone's video. [The] host can [also] make other participants host.
  • [Users] can record [the] whole session and download it in good quality.
  • Zoom has many useless emojis which are not even needed in any meeting.
  • On Zoom, only 100 participants can join at one time otherwise if you want more to join, you have to [buy] the premium [version] of zoom.
  • Sometimes [the] zoom server [goes] down so it shows an error [at] time of joining.
  • [Users] can launch only 40 minutes meeting on Zoom [via the] free account.

  • Virtual meets.
  • HD video and good audio [sometimes has problems].
  • Chat option where you can chat with everyone or with a particular individual.
  • Can use it anywhere on any device.
  • Good customer support [some may have a bad experience ].
  • Sometimes the audio and video have issues.
  • Security has been one of the biggest reasons many organizations have stopped using Zoom.
  • Safety and Privacy issues.

  • The call quality is good.
  • Support is nonexistent. You're supposed to be eligible for support on a paid plan, but upon entering my account details the automated voice says I'm not eligible for phone support. I've then tried emailing and get an automated reply saying there is currently no email support. I've tried calling and emailing the sales team as well but replies are extremely slow or nonexistent and you have to be pushy to get anywhere. Just called the sales team again and got a lady in Manila who was part of the 'overflow' team. She informed me that the reason support is currently so bad is that they have "2.8 billion users..." come on. That number is ridiculous, but if Zoom is doing so well why can they not employ more people?

  • Video and audio calls work really well
  • Easily integrates with 3rd party apps
  • Option to have toll free region based phone numbers for audio calls
  • Go live on social media for read only viewers
  • Records locally or over the cloud as per settings
  • Should have an option to force disable video for all users
  • Have a banner for users who are in waiting room so can share message with them
  • Breakout rooms should have a option for view only for admins so can view all of them together

  • Share multifunctional screen.
  • Connection with multiple calendars.
  • Annotation tools for everyone.
  • Continuous security improvements.
  • Chat. It could be a little more advanced.
  • Integrate participant area, chat and surveys in a single panel (improved user experience).
  • Option of personalization of annotation tools, to have only those that will be used and not the entire existing range.

  • Its interface is really simple and easy to use.
  • The learning curve is very short thanks to the platform interface.
  • It is very easy to share the Zoom link to join the video conference.
  • Screen sharing quality is excellent.
  • The way video calls are displayed when there are too many people is a little awkward.
  • With a bad connection, the video call could be viewed without any problem, but now either the audio or the video can be pasted in this case.
  • It's kind of confusing how to make the sound work when you're on a video call.

  • Quality video calls - Meetings that have video are of very good quality and my co-workers and I can understand each other well.
  • Audio calls - simple audio calls work very easily and quickly.
  • Screen sharing - To make meetings it is also very important to share a screen to make something happen and this tool helps a lot in this.
  • Easy to use on any operating system.
  • It is necessary to have a good internet connection for video calls to work with good quality.
  • It is necessary to have a reasonably good computer to share the screen as it can crash everything.
  • I found problems sharing multiple monitors at the same time.
