Our first exposure to zoom was during the lockdowns. We did what we could remotely and did a lot of screen meetings. As good as it is it is not a permanent substituete for face to face interatction. Zoom was easy to set up and use. We would typically have 5-7 remote logins and found it worked as well as we expected. Zoom was not a low dollar solution, We eventually went to Microsoft 365 which allowed Teams as a remote meeting application. There was no sense in our usin g both applications so we eventually went exclusively with Teams.
  • Simplicity in administering meetings
  • Stable platform whether using it on a PC or ipad or phone
  • The ability to save meeting formats was helpful, We didnt have to re-do everything each time
  • For me the sharing of a desktop for instructional purposes was more difficult than I expected.
  • Zoom is not the low dollar application. They need to rethink their pricing sructure.
Zoom is a good program. I don't feel it has the best security but it is easy to use and served us well during the non-contact period we went through. We were able to have face to face contact wirh remote employees because of zoom. We are not a technical company but Zoom allowed us to function during challenging times.

With the Zoom price increase on their free plan, they are strong-arming existing users and damaging brand goodwill. 1-on-1 Zoom lessons were previously free for unlimited minutes. Rather than identifying and eliminating their wastage and accounting for the goodwill, an unlimited free video conferencing service provides, without prior warning, they limited that time to 40-minutes. It is likely a blow to business with existing meetings on the books and it was not sufficiently publicized. If I stand to lose money on my existing meetings because my services cannot be rendered in the agreed-upon 55 minutes, how am I incentivized to upgrade my plan? Zoom and its fiduciary partners should reconsider their policy. However, I am impressed by the functionality of WhereBy and will be porting my services through them in the meantime!
  • Uninterrupted meeting connection
  • Functionality with external microphones
  • Complementary screen sharing
  • Change in subscription plan will cost small businesses the most
  • The lack of a warning for the new free meeting time limit creates a wedge in user trust
  • $15/mo plan is not competitive with free services with similar functionality like WhereBy
Zoom has severely injured the goodwill it has garnered over the worst of the pandemic. After capturing the market share with free unlimited 1 on 1 meeting, strong-arming users who are dependent on this infrastructure is, at best, insulting and at its worse, an unethical positioning in the marketplace.

In line with the new hybrid workplace reality, we had to find an easy way to reach out to our users (and mostly clients) outside the usual paradigm. Zoom was the easiest and most commonly used video platform by our client. Even companies that used MS Teams and Webex as their pro solution, it was not uncommon for employees to use Zoom from time to time
  • Easy connection to video calls.
  • Works on all platforms.
  • Good overall quality (audio & video).
  • Security was/is not at the pro level.
  • Feature set limited for common users.
  • Limited integration to other platforms/devices.
Zoom works very well in the consumer world and also seems to be a go-to solution for online classes. Its simplicity and easy access make it a great tool for typical non-users. It might not be suited for Board meetings and enterprise-level video conferencing, however, it serves the masses very well and has plenty of fun features that make it a fun experience for consumers.

Zoom is the most stable software and is very useful for video conferencing. It provides rich functionality to the user to share their personal screen and also to have a discussion with their folks via online video conferencing. It allows the user to feel as if they are physically present in the meeting and having a discussion with their folks.
  • Mostly used for online video conferencing
  • Presentation functionality
  • Chat feature
  • Increase time limit for the video conferencing
  • HD support for the video
  • Need an app for usage
According to my point of view, it is stable application for small video conferencing.

We use Zoom across the whole organization so far. Zoom helps us to organize meetings, chat, and schedule calls for the entire company.
  • Video presentation
  • Voice
  • Chat
  • Contacts
  • No hierarchy as on Skype For Business (check manager, direct report to, etc.)
  • Continuous outages lately.
  • Many clicks to get to some basic areas.
  • Problems with compatibility of plugins all the time.
Zoom works fine for a small company and on 1 to 1 meeting, basic meetings and chats. Zoom is a bit unreliable lately. We get some outages and also the plugin are continuously problematic. Still, it does the job and is a bit better than Skype for Business.

Zoom is being used to provide online learning and training to instructional faculty and enrolled health care students.
  • Quality image and audio.
  • Easy to use.
  • Allows for virtual backgrounds.
  • Offers a variety of meeting settings.
  • Billing service
  • Customer service
  • Response to issues
  • Adequate support
Although Zoom provides a quality product, and I would normally give a higher rating than I did, Zoom lacks in billing and customer support. Zoom has focused on the onslaught of its privacy issues and has diverted its attention to this issue. In doing so, users that have issues with subscriptions are left fending for themselves. Billing and customer support are lacking, and users are faced with emails that go unanswered. When attempting to call in, long waits of being placed on-hold occur, only to be answered by their answering service. With the recent onslaught of online needs, the business practices of Zoom have failed. Numerous accounts of someone having paid for a business or pro account has ended up reverting down to a basic subscription. This reversion results in numerous problems, one of which is the inability to hold meetings longer than 40 minutes.

During this COVID-19 pandemic our school district is using Zoom throughout the school district for teachers and students to connect for classroom meetings; including updates, check-ins, Q/A, socializing & personal connections for students and staff, seeing each other during time of isolation, having a story read aloud together as a class, and sharing with jokes.
  • Face to face setting.
  • Sidebar for Q/A or conversations.
  • Ease of login.
  • Captioning is not very accessible as someone must be typing during meeting time or use of an outside agency (CART) rather than voice recognition technology to have captioning readily available.
  • The platform lacks and needs to have a dedicated box/tile for an ASL interpreter during a live presentation.

Across the whole organization for larger meetings. We have a need for connecting when in different locations as well as currently our space does not have large enough conference rooms for our larger meetings so we tend to use Zoom to address that issue. We also use it as a means of giving presentations.
  • Accommodates many attendees.
  • It can be used anywhere.
  • It has some easy usability.
  • Poor video quality (compared to competitors on the same machines on the same networks with the same number of attendees).
  • Complicated, with many steps for simple use.
  • Why have a passcode to exit?
Zoom is good for when you have lots of people attending. Zoom is not ideal for constant, quick and simple use for smaller teams. It needs to be simple to use so it can be quick to use, instead, it just intices frustration which gets the mind in the wrong mental state.

Zoom is used across the whole organization for remote meetings and calls. We use it for one-on-one meetings, larger meetings, all-staff meetings, and board meetings. Zoom allows our organization to have a reliable and easy to use system for any meeting type, as some of our staff works remotely from all around the world.
  • Reliability -- the video and audio quality is good and steady.
  • Recordings -- Zoom allows meetings to be recorded in the cloud and downloaded at a later date.
  • Meeting options -- Zoom allows you to adjust meeting settings to meet your needs, such as having a waiting room, automatic muting, and more.
  • Expensive at scale -- Zoom requires each user have a separate license, instead of allowing an IT team to centrally manage and arrange meetings.
  • No automatic meeting transcriptions on the Business Pro plan.
  • Sloppy code -- Zoom has had a couple of privacy snafus due to the poor code quality of their software. This leads to a lack of trust between Zoom and their customers.
Zoom is well suited for a small to medium-sized team, especially if that team includes remote workers. Zoom works best when its users have some technical ability and are able to adjust audio and video settings on the software. Zoom also works well for meetings in which a presentation is given, as the host can easily share their screen to all meeting attendees.

It was in a previous role, but it was used for trainings and demos
  • Oh wow- easy to use and navigate
  • Interface was snappy- just a polished and professional looking product
  • It was not resource intensive. In comparison - It just seemed like GoToMeeting or BlueJeans were really laggy
  • I felt like it was too pricey compared to other enterprise options
  • Recording feature leaves much to be desired
Zoom is great for demos- like sales demos, but if you are having a webinar with a lot of people, GoToWebinar would be better for that. I mean if you are going to pay that much for zoom

Zoom is being used at our organization for business meetings and training purposes. We schedule meetings through Zoom and communicate over Zoom. We are a travel hospitality company and we interact with our clients and vendors on a regular basis. Zoom is helping us to broadcast our training sessions to several stakeholders at a time.
  • Zoom is Best for the single user as well as multiple users to broadcast.
  • Zoom is cost-efficient and reliable in terms of quality.
  • As an industry leader, Zoom has moved our organization into the confidence of service delivery at its best.
  • For payments, multi-currency must be required.
  • There are possibilities for improvement in UI and UX.
  • More flexible plans would be nice
For multiple users meeting, Zoom is suitable but for the single user, there are many more vendors and freeware products available. I would recommend Zoom Video conferencing for an enterprise rather than a single user. Zoom is our trusted partner for Business conference calls and we use it often for our business needs.
