ZoomInfo is primarily used for prospecting in our sales department and market research, data collection, ICP formulation by the marketing and sales. It gives us the target's contact info, organization, hierarchy, etc. in the summary document. I use the tool to find companies and prospects using the many filters provided like revenue, location, technology stack, etc and then I export the list of companies or targets which we have narrowed down on.

ZoomInfo is best suited for data mining and researching requirements. It allows you to get quality data/contacts and accounts for lead generation. Another plus is when I need a direct dial number of any particular contacts, I can easily get it including the business email ID. The intent feature is amazing and useful as it helps you read in on buying signs and reach out in a timely fashion. if you are in the SMB space, the data is a little lower in volume when compared to the enterprise segment.

We decided to try ZoomInfo for a year to build our database of decision-makers at companies that could be prospects for us. Our marketing is driven by sharing our expertise through best practices papers and other thought leadership. It's been helpful at identifying companies and people we might not have known about otherwise.
  • Our use has been limited to what I described above, so I can't speak to its other strengths.
  • Its accuracy is not perfect. We often see people we know who have moved to other companies or positions who are still listed at previous positions in ZoomInfo.
It's useful for casting a wide net to collect potential client prospects. I don't have major complaints about its functionality. However, they include a sneaky auto-renewal clause in their contract, which in our experience was never mentioned in the sales process. Then they set a deadline to cancel the auto-renewal that's several months before the current subscription's expiration date. To address this issue, you have to schedule a zoom meeting with someone to discuss. They seem intent on ramming the auto-renewal through — when we've stated very clearly that we don't want to renew. I'm surprised that a company that seems well-known and well-trusted would engage in business practices that are so customer-unfriendly and borderline unethical.

I've used ZoomInfo at several organizations, and always try to push for my team to adopt their data into our outreach. Cold outreach and prospecting is a hard job, and it's even harder when you don't have the right contact info for your prospects. ZoomInfo really seems to be the gold standard for sales development.

ZoomInfo is the goto demand gen tool we use for driving pipeline through list builds, scoops, enrich and list match functions. Every event, webinar, media partnership that helps us with pipeline data, get followed by list matching or data finding in Zoominfo. We also use out extensively to drive our ABM initiatives as we get industry-specific data and insights that we need. Scoops help us target specific audiences to further our marketing-campaign efforts. The order to cash/monetization & Billing solution my company offers solves problems of outdated finance processes. With Zoominfo's insights, we are able to target companies that have inefficient back-end technologies / ERPs. I have also started using the WebSights functionality for visibility onto metrics. Zoominfo can really help a business grow...
  • List Match - Building lists of appropriate profiles of persons to be targeted. It gives the extensive selection of industry, region, company size, revenue, title, job function to narrow down the search perfectly with a given set of companies or criteria.

We're a rapidly growing tech company that seeks out very specific decision-makers in health plans and other organizations. It's been a couple of months since switching from another platform to ZoomInfo, and my team has already seen a great increase in lead quality and updated data, along with insights into the companies we target.

  • The only potential flaw I've found is that creating/adding to a list within Zoominfo itself is tricky or not possible. Importing from an external source or doc is easy, but combining new prospects or companies that you've found newly in Zoominfo doesn't appear to be an option.
Best suited for any level of sales org in which you are seeking out new clients in a specific industry. I've worked in several different industries in sales management, and all of them would have benefitted from having Zoominfo as an asset. For tech companies like ours that often use Salesforce and Salesloft, this is the perfect way to complement both of those because it interfaces so nicely.

I generate leads through Zoominfo. Not only that, but I also find new industries through Zoominfo by subscribing to their newsletters and tagging certain words that I want to know more about. I also use Zoominfo to "double cleanse" current data I have before importing them into salesforce. As an organization as a whole, we rely heavily on Zoominfo, and has become almost a "default" whenever we need immediate data and information-that is what Zoominfo is used for me.

Having been in the sales field for the past 10 years I have always looked for the best way to find sales leads as well as contact information. I have used different programs over the years and have not seen a better or more accurate solution. There is always going to be a need for good information and ZoomInfo is by far the best out there and is getting better every day.

I use Zoominfo on a daily basis in order to find and qualify my potential leads. Using ZoomInfo (especially intent signals) has been a QOL improvement I have yet to experience. What took hours can now take minutes. I'm able to generate my leads and plan my day easy and simple (in fact ZoomInfo does that for you!).

I use ZoomInfo daily to investigate different companies for my sales position. I am able to gain valuable information and insight into a company before reaching out to establish a relationship. The part of ZoomInfo that I use the most is ZoomIntent. Through this, I am able to see which companies are currently searching for what I have to sell. It gives me weekly updates which are often as good as leads.

We use it to be able to prospect and find the right points of contact before we make a cold call. In addition, we occasionally will use the lead generation tool to help us get industry-specific leads to call on.

ZoomInfo is a supplement to our prospecting efforts, and probably the most effective one that we have available to us from a contact information standpoint. The integration with Salesforce and its ability to export to the CRM really streamlines the process of getting the leads and contacts where we need them to be in order to sequence them. The Chrome extension in combination with Sales Navigator is also a very convenient feature that streamlines the process as well.

From an account management standpoint, it's also easy to find current accounts and cross-sell into other departments if that is a use case that presents itself. Plenty of articles and "recent news" that can be beneficial in starting conversations with these customers and prospects, too.

[My organization] wanted to use ZoomInfo to update an old database of contacts. [We were] thinking about a re-engagement campaign, [so we] spent a little time reviewing what ZoomInfo can do and set appointments with them. [I] started seeing them in my LinkedIn feed and colleagues started getting updates about them. That is when I should have known how they are. [I believe] they show you how pervasive their service is right off the bat. [The] thing is, it was so predatory [in my opinion].<br><br><br>

  • [I feel that things would improve if you] stop harassing your leads.

We use ZoomInfo integrated with Salesforce to identify missing information for accounts and contacts in Salesforce. We also use ZoomInfo to identify potential prospects and identify decision-makers that we should be speaking with at these prospects. This has allowed our sales team to ensure that they are reaching out to the correct contacts and has increased sales efficiency.

  • The problem with all list and data companies is ensuring that the data is up to date, ZoomInfo is not perfect but has been the closest I have found. Continue working towards ways to ensure data is the most up-to-date as possible.
  • It is always hard to tell if "my" information is correct or "ZoomInfo" is correct until I try one and fail and then try the other. Would be nice if there was a way to test or confirm data before trying and then checking for updated information.
ZoomInfo definitely allows us to find accounts and contacts that we should be reaching out to that we would not have found without ZoomInfo. The data is not always 100% but is the best we have found so far and is much better than doing a lot of manual searches on many different sites to try and find this information.

ZoomInfo provides contact information with provided accuracy levels in addition to clear tags for direct, mobile, or HQ numbers. In addition to this, they provide filters by intent signals, org structures, internal departments, and so forth. They also integrate into Salesforce well, providing clear plug-ins that play well and help my daily workflow. Prospecting has never been easier.

Zoominfo is being used focused on the Transportation and Fleet Manager market segment, in the USA market, to get a more detailed list of prospective customers and help Sales and Marketing teams in targeting their campaign to specific individuals within the target accounts. It has also been used in other market segments (such as Aerospace and Material Handling) to help the Sales and Business Development team in focusing the lead qualification and prospecting activities. The team is planning to integrate Zoominfo with Salesforce and Pardot within the next few months; we are currently investigating the technical details.

If you are looking for a tool to help you with lead qualification, prospecting, and in general doing a better job in managing large key accounts (possibly at the international level), ZoomInfo is really great. You can also use it to enrich your existing lead and contact database, adding more and more detailed and updated information. Be well aware that legal consent to store these contacts (i.e. in GDPR countries' cases) is still a responsibility on your side, and ZoomInfo cannot do this for you. I would personally recommend reviewing fully the legal consent process before embarking on using ZoomInfo, to make sure you can use the tool in the most efficient and effective way.

Our company uses it for demand generation and to get deep insights into targeted accounts, contact information, and more. I use it to access and filter relevant contacts and upload them into SalesForce. It integrates very well with SFDC and helps me build my account list to target and call into.

ZoomInfo is well suited for finding new leads, contacts, and accounts. It provides a lot of data on a person and company and gives you new people to tap into regularly. We use ZoomInfo to find individuals and companies to contact for sales. ZoomInfo helps us find companies that we wouldn't be able to find otherwise. We look for companies with international locations which ZoomInfo makes extremely easy and significantly more efficient for us. Without ZoomInfo, I'm not sure how I would go about doing my job.

  • Not everyone at a company is on ZoomInfo.
  • Often someone that doesn't work at a company is listed under that company in ZoomInfo.
ZoomInfo is extremely useful when trying to find someone at a company to contact. When it comes to learning more about a company and specifically what they do, ZoomInfo isn't necessarily the best platform to learn about that company. It does provide a little blurb about a company, but that is the same thing that LinkedIn provides.

We use it to find basic contact information (Email/Cell numbers) in order to reach out to potential clients.
  • Gives Cell Numbers
  • Has many toggle options to sort fields
  • the ZoomInfo browser install- that can pull up contacts from any website you are on.
  • GLITCHES- Whenever you press the "company tab" it pulls down the "contact" tab contacts, every time. without fail. In order to open the company tab, you have to press out and back in twice every time.
  • I liked the layout prior to the update- with the new window, the contacts are displayed much smaller than before. Making it hard to access without a large monitor.
  • verifying emails- I get a decent amount of "did not deliver" because the emails are incorrect/
When you are prospecting for potential new clients- you need the basic contact info- ZoomInfo can't provide that easily. It would probably be better suited if you were able to toggle companies for international presence, right now- you don't have many filters on how many employees are abroad.

I use ZoomInfo for getting into new accounts. I use the intent and scoops options a lot to help find new leads. I then use ZoomInfo to do research on the company and review all possible prospects for the company. Once I decide who the best contacts are to export I then upload them to Salesforce.

When needing to find new accounts to target ZoomInfo can help by showing intent buying signals or scoops that they receive from employees in the company. they have the company org chart as well to really break down who you are trying to target. Zoominfo is my go-to when needing to find new accounts to target.
